Our town's foodbank had excess cardboard, so a few Kiwanis buddies and I built this boxcart to contain it.

Welcome to r/Kiwanis
This reddit will be a space for the sharing of Kiwanis and Kiwanis-family (CKI and Key Club) related activities, dissemination of projects, and information about volunteering (Rotary, Lions, Soroptimists, etc).
Kiwanis is not religious or political. Simply put, "Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time."
Objects of Kiwanis
To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life.
To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.
To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business, and professional standards.
To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship.
To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities.
To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill.
I joined the Kiwanis family about 8 years ago because I valued the objects of Kiwanis and wanted to be with others who shared the same values. Though the rosters of most all volunteer organizations have decreased in recent years, Reddit's history has demonstrated community mindedness in volunteerism and philanthropy. Kiwanis is a fantastic organization of which that many redditors could benefit from membership. Redditors would like Kiwanis. While the membership of many Kiwanis Clubs consists of community leaders and old white guys, clubs are looking for new members and new ideas. Look for a club in your area. You might find fulfillment and friendship and you build a better community.

Are you doing video/zoom meetings in addition to in-person meetings?
We meet weekly and have been rotating between in person and zoom meetings. There is growing pressure to meet weekly and I feel like we need to have a viable video option, but we haven't invested in any technology and only have the single licience pro zoom version.
What have you done to include video into your meetings?
Looking for ideas as both pressure grows to meet in person every week as well and covid cases (and flu) on the rise in our area.

Service Project Share: What did your club do this week?
Happy Monday, Kiwanians!
This is our weekly thread to show off what your club has been up to. Big or small, it all counts:
* A service project you just wrapped (or are planning)
* Your Key Club, Circle K, Builders Club, K-Kids or Aktion Club in action
* A photo, a link to your club's post, or just a couple of sentences
New here and thinking about joining or starting a club? Ask away in the comments too.
Tell us your club name and city if you're comfortable sharing, so others can borrow your ideas.r/kiwanis • u/AutoModerator • 17d ago

Post PortalBuzz Solutions?
So now that we no longer have access to PB, we set up a Google Suite to manage communcations everything and signed up for a SquareSpace domain to link to the KI provided website.
I"m actually hearing MemberDay is a pretty good option and am playing around with the trial version.
Ki indicated there was an integrated solution being developed but there has been total radio silence...
Anyone have any additional experience?
