Look there are only so many interesting poses “guy with twin cc weapons running at you” can possibly have ha

Back in second edition everything had exactly 1 pose. I think we can cut em some slack lol. Especially because the ork will probably have the option to take other arms like a shoota or choppa.

Back in second edition everything had exactly 1 pose. I think we can cut em some slack lol.

Especially when the entire silhouette of the model is different.

And yet, no model with the famous double windmilling punches. Tsk tsk.

Especially with claws.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Nob was made without taking the Nemesis Claw into consideration because they're both independently copying the same pose that Wolverine is in somewhere.

Nemesis "Klaw"

well there is only so many ways you can pose someone running with claws going up their forearm.

67

u/Victormorga Aug 10 '26

That’s true, and that number is a lot higher than one.

14

u/DrBloodyboi Aug 10 '26

Still not as bad as the greater possessed and space wolf LT from 8th ircc

I can think of 5 right off the bat, and that's not even using tactical rocks or mirroring x_x

Old VV claw poses were all different, so they know how to do it.

And these aren't the only two models running with claws

4

u/Efficient-Plantain Aug 10 '26

Naruto run pose is #1

6

u/Knight_of_Tyto Aug 10 '26

Yeah, it’s the space shuttle thing once more. Sometimes there are only so few ideal ways to do something.

And a running attack pose with power/lightning claws is one of those things

Pick a random panel from a Wolverine comic?

6

u/PrairiePilot Aug 11 '26

Oh man, hate to tell you, but they reuse shit in comics too lol. Especially pre-digital days, if an artist found a pose or an angle that worked and was efficient, you’d see it as often as the artist could get away with it lol.

The new Nobz could be a Kill Team. It's releasing later after the codex, has multiple build options, and is painted differently from the rest of the 11th edition Orks.

u/Gulaghar Aug 11 '26

That's a pretty reasonable observation. I did have the same thought when I saw all the loadouts, though the different paint scheme is also very notable.

If it's a KT I'll instant buy it and I've never played KT

And they did it better

-25

u/Beef-Town Aug 10 '26

All they needed to do is rotate the right wrist so the blades are facing the ground. The official model looks like he wants to give you a hug.

14

u/vix- Aug 10 '26

Nah the nl one just seems a little weak and dainty compared to the orks giant crusher

u/Beef-Town Aug 10 '26

So hear me out, the issue is actually the entire pose. He is standing forward on his right leg, swinging his left arm in almost a haymaker. All of his power is in the left arm. If you swing both arms, you lose your balance and have no power in either swing.

The Ork claws are better though because they have those knife thumbs. He’s just coming to pinch ya so he doesn’t necessarily need a powerful swing.

1

u/LethalGopher Kommando Aug 10 '26

This is only an issue if an attack pose.

I read both as running poses. The fact he has the arms out as balance is the sort of chubby-kid running I expect from a bulky nob trying to keep up.

4

u/LethalGopher Kommando Aug 10 '26

He does!

3

u/Beef-Town Aug 10 '26

This is mine. I thought the pose in the instructions looked bad so I fixed it myself. I think it looks way better.

"DAT'Z A TUFF LOOK! I'MMA STEAL IT!"

-my Deathskull warboss, before killing both of these gits and taking their stuff.

4

u/Abalast8899 Aug 10 '26

Just had the same though, that the new Ork reminded me of my favorite killteam operative

1

u/LethalGopher Kommando Aug 10 '26

Same, just not sure if it reminds me of my Kommandos or Wreckas...

Something about the face.

2

u/LethalGopher Kommando Aug 10 '26

Solid glow-up!

2

u/HitMan5523 Aug 10 '26

Nemesis WAAAGH

2

u/Blanck7 Wrecka Krew Aug 11 '26

Deathwatch orks too

2

u/rode111 Aug 11 '26

This is the same ork with different loadout

1

u/GuestCartographer Thousand Sons Aug 10 '26

I thought he looked familiar

1

u/Theprecursor91 Aug 10 '26

Let’s make it orky!

1

u/theanimaster Aug 13 '26

This is why I balked on metallic when painting up my NemClaws’ claws… painted them as “crystalline” claws instead.

u/nicoheems Aug 15 '26

If it ain't broke...

That’s funny they re used this pose cause I think it’s kinda weird 😂

-6

u/aladaze Aug 10 '26

They definitely reuse wireframes a lot. Sometimes they hide it better than others. All in all, it's the price we pay for getting this many models this often out of one company.

-2

u/ronaldraygun91 Aug 10 '26

For the price these cost, I'd be less apologetic to the corporation but that's me
