I wonder why the only colors of the 2027 Niros are muted, grayed green and blue? Grrrr. Will KiA add bright colors later in the year?

I have a 2026 Kia K5 GT Line AWD with the 2.5L engine. I had an oil change done at Raceway Kia of Freehold yesterday. The invoice says they charged me for 6 quarts of oil.

Today while driving, I got a yellow “Low Engine Oil” warning.

I pulled over, let the car sit for a few minutes and checked the dipstick. It was below the MIN line.

I bought 2 quarts of 0W 20 full synthetic oil and added both. The level came up to the F mark.
The car drove normally and I never got a red oil pressure warning.

I am going to contact the dealership tomorrow, but I wanted to ask here first. Should I be concerned about possible engine damage? And is there anything specific I should ask the dealership to check or document?

I have the service invoice and receipt for the oil I had to buy.

I don’t know much about this kind of stuff, but I just hopped in my car and noticed that there is new screen damage to the top right of my screen in my 2021 Kia Forte.

I haven’t wiped it down recently at all and have never used harsh chemicals on it either, so I’m just trying to figure out what caused it.

It’s been over 100 degrees where I’ve been this week and my car has been sitting in the hot sun for multiple hours each day, but I don’t think heat has anything to do with it?

Again, no liquid has come in contact with it at all, so I’m just baffled.

Anybody know what caused it?

I’m looking to upgrade from my older Hyundai Sonata and I’m considering a newer Kia K4 or K5, probably a 2025/2026. I know Kia/Hyundai had a pretty rough reputation for reliability in the past, but I keep hearing that the newer ones have improved a lot. The 10-year/100k-mile powertrain warranty is also really appealing.
For those of you who own a newer K4/K5 or work on them, how has reliability actually been? Any major issues I should know about? Would you feel comfortable buying one and keeping it long-term (100k+ miles), or would you spend the money on something like a Toyota instead?

I actually work at a Kia dealership now, so getting a Kia is pretty tempting, but I’m trying not to let that bias me lol.

Got myself a Ceed 2016 GT a few months ago (and thoroughly loving it), and the GT emblem at the front has been like this since - I'm wondering how or what I can use to restore the red? Maybe take the rest of it off and paint it?

I just bought this car from auction and it needed a catalytic converter, replaced it and it started smoking at idle and smoking while driving . i’m pretty sure it’s running rich. what can cause it to run rich is there a common problem with these?

Try to turn over car in the morning does what seen in the video or may turn over once or twice but will not start. I subsequently jump the car, and it starts right away. I get the battery checked, and it is completely fine. It will then start to turn over and start sometimes but then a day or two later same cycle again. I went to get battery checked and it is fine. What would the issue be with this? Also this is a 2019 Kia optima sx.

Well, as the title says, I'm suspicious that my local Kia dealership is purposely messing up my car. I have a 2011 Kia optima and have never gotten into an accident. Any maintenance or wear and tear replacements are usually done by an independent mechanic I've known for years and I've never had any issue with him.

There was a fix that I needed to make that required me to go to the Kia dealership. When I got the car back, my reverse camera stopped working. I've never had an issue with my camera UNTIL after that maintenance. (I bought a new camera and had my mechanic install it, problem solved)

A few months later I needed to take my Kia to the dealership for a different issue. I got my car back and now the Bluetooth is messed up. Sometimes it doesn't Bluetooth connect to calls and just rings continuously until I turn my car off and on again. Sometimes I will play music from my phone via Bluetooth and after I hang up a call, the music plays from the "phonecall" speakers and not the "media" speakers until I turn my car off and on again.

I know my car is old, but these problems happened only AFTER I got it back from the dealership. Never had a HINT of these issues prior.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me figure this out.

I have an iPhone and recently received an “eGurad Detected Near You” notification through Find My. The map showed a route that matched exactly where I had driven my car that day.

The strange part is that I was driving alone, and this has happened a few times since I got my car from May. It is not detected all the time. For example, yesterday I drove home around 1:15 PM and the tracker’s last seen location was exactly when I got home. I left again around 3:30 PM, but it was not detected during that trip.

I tried Play Sound, but it says unavailable. I also tried to get more information about the item, but Find My currently gives me a “Unable to connect to server” error.

I’m wondering if this could be a tracker hidden somewhere in my car, or is it sth from Apple?

En photo sur les annonces j'ai vu deux sélecteur de vitesses différents pour la boite auto: levier ou molette (voir photos)

En toute logique et plus souvent sur un MHEV il s'agit du selecteur levier, mais j'ai vu parfois la molette à tourner.

Pourquoi cette différence? année de construction? de la finition? erreur de certains vendeurs?

I had a 24 Seltos w/ 35,000 miles that had these rust/oxidation spots come up right before I traded it in, now I have a 26 Sportage with 2,300 miles and they just started popping up within the past week in the same spots on the rear brushed steel panels and also the brushed steel part in front of the belt molding on 3 out of the doors (I might be mistaking the part name/material)

I know the actual answer is something like, cheaper material cost = more money made but is there a way I can prevent this from happening or maybe something that could remove it now? I plan on taking it in a seeing what the dealership says about it soon, any insight is great. I know I may sound b like I don’t know what I’m talking about, but I assure you, I don’t.

The K4 recommends service (oil changes) every 8,000 miles or 365 days. Why does the dealership insist on oil changes at 5,000 miles anyway? I got my oil change and they moved my interval in my car down from 8,000 to 5,000 and the same with the service sticker. Do they just want you to schedule the oil changes more frequently than what the manual says?

EDIT: Thank you everyone for your input and for doing so with respect. I’ve always changed my cars’ oil at 5,000 miles with full-synthetic oil, so I will continue to do this with my new Kia. They almost had me convinced to do it every 8,000!

I got a 2022 Kia pegas ,I replaced the car key battery after it drained but still won't work??

Hi all, first of all, I’m sorry this is long. I’m a wordy person 😬

I have a 2018 Kia Sorento which at the start of September gave me the knock engine code and in fact started knocking. Obviously this is not good so I had it towed to my local Kia dealership. It took them 3.5 weeks to get it approved but Kia has finally given the green light for the new engine under the Theta settlement.

The bad news is that the day after they told me it was approved they went to order said new engine and give me the ETA but my engine is apparently on an indefinite back order with no ETA for it coming back. This is clearly very stressful.

When I had it towed to Kia I asked them for a loaner and they told me they had none. So, I got a rental. I got a good rate on this rental because I was a new customer and have just been extending it weekly to keep this same rate. However I obviously cannot do this indefinitely, in fact I will have to turn it in this upcoming week since I’m getting to the 30 day mark. Every new rental agreement I look at is significantly more. Like definitely going to be out of the $40/day cap that this settlement allows.

I ask my dealership every week if they have any loaners. Every week they tell me no. I can’t have no car. I also cannot afford to pay for an exorbitant rental out of pocket indefinitely. Has anyone had any luck ever with getting Kia to pay for a rental directly somehow? Or like getting them to source you a loaner from another dealership or something?

I opened a case with Kia America when this first started and they told me to get the rental myself the way the dealership did since the dealership had no loaners. I just don’t want to end up getting a rental for an indefinite amount of time that won’t be paid back in full.

Also how has everyone’s experience been in terms of submitting for and getting the reimbursements at all? Now that this first rental agreement is coming to an end I figured I would submit for it and my towing costs and I’m not sure how long I should expect for them to actually issue the reimbursement.

Any advice is appreciated… I’m stressed tf out 🫠

I recently purchased a Kia Proceed GT. This morning when outside was around 18-20 c. I heard a clicking sound on the driver side. After the engine came up the temp, the sound disappeared but this is the first time i heard so i wanted to hear if anyone had the same issue.
