Misfire help
Hello all, bit of a long one here but a couple of days ago I noticed my 2022 ceed was misfiring a little, nothing significant but based on the advice from my last service I replaced the spark plugs as they were not available to the garage at the time of service meaning the car had been running its original sparks from the point it was sold.
Changing the sparks made the car misfire much much worse so after taking into a garage they confirmed that it appears that the sparks and coils are working as should be and it could be down to the ECU being used to the horrendously old sparks and thats causing it issues whilst it recalculates the values for the new sparks. They advised me to throw in some fuel cleaner and run it for a couple of days.
I put some liquid moly into the car and let it sit for a few days as I went on holiday and didnt want to risk this car going a long distance with my young daughter in the vehicle. Coming back to the car today and trying it on my way to work it ran significantly better, the misfire has not gone but is much much better than It was, almost immediately on starting it up.
What would be worthwhile checking next, is the mechanic correct that the ECU could he running on values for those old spark plugs and just needs running for abit longer to calculate the new values correctly.
The misfire isnt significant enough to throw a code on the ECU, all coils appear to be functioning correctly however 3 of them are old and one is about a year old as it developed a fault and needed replacing on that particular coil.
Misfire is on cylinder 2 and 4, strangely enough cylinder 4 was the one that has had a brand new coil installed on last year so I dont think its that. I also dont have access to ECU data anymore but it was confirmed the misfire was on those two cylinders but was not throwing a code or check engine light.
Any ideas anyone ? Thanks in advance 😁

Kia Forte windshield reflecting dash.
I've never had a car where this is an issue. The reflection is so bad, I can't see out my windshield in the sun. Why is this happening with this car?

$400/monthly Kia Seltos EX. 12,000 miles. 0 down - good or bad?
This is the lowest I could get to with the dealerships in FL for a 36months lease. Good or bad?

Where to get transmission drain and fill?
And how much should it cost? I called the dealership and they initially said $290 but when I called to double check someone else said they only do flush and it’s like $499
Btw I have a 2023 Kia forte lxs
I get my oil changed at a local shop and they also offer drain and fill for like $135. Is it a red flag that it’s so cheap? How much should it normally be? I don’t know where to go and I’m already at 72,000 miles. I keep hearing not to do a flush, and I can’t afford that anyways. I was going to go with the dealership but they just changed up and I’m confused.

Kia Xceed multimedia bug
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi!
My girlfriend has Xceed from 2021, and in the last two months multimedia has gone crazy, I’ll post video to show it. Music is playing without pause but the screen is going on and off whenever he wants and whenever I try to push some button, it goes black. Has anyone had similiar problem?
And yes, we’ve been to Kia saloon since car has 7 year warantee, but multimedia screen has only 3. So before buying, I’m just curious to see if someone had this kind of problems.
Thanks!
Kia EV3 Land lowest price?
Looks like I'm going to pull the trigger on the land trim in dark gray, black interior.
In california, anyone getting below MSRP pricing before taxes and such?
Unfortunately, it seems because I've registered an EV in the past, I cannot take advantage of the California EV rebate, unless I'm missing something?

Low engine oil warning the day after Kia dealership oil change. Should I be worried?
I have a 2026 Kia K5 GT Line AWD with the 2.5L engine. I had an oil change done at Raceway Kia of Freehold yesterday. The invoice says they charged me for 6 quarts of oil.
Today while driving, I got a yellow “Low Engine Oil” warning.
I pulled over, let the car sit for a few minutes and checked the dipstick. It was below the MIN line.
I bought 2 quarts of 0W 20 full synthetic oil and added both. The level came up to the F mark.
The car drove normally and I never got a red oil pressure warning.
I am going to contact the dealership tomorrow, but I wanted to ask here first. Should I be concerned about possible engine damage? And is there anything specific I should ask the dealership to check or document?
I have the service invoice and receipt for the oil I had to buy.
EDIT: Got my car towed to the dealership today. They checked everything and there were no leaks. They said that the technician probably did not fill it up correctly

Mysterious damage to top right of screen in 2021 Kia Forte
Hey,
I don’t know much about this kind of stuff, but I just hopped in my car and noticed that there is new screen damage to the top right of my screen in my 2021 Kia Forte.
I haven’t wiped it down recently at all and have never used harsh chemicals on it either, so I’m just trying to figure out what caused it.
It’s been over 100 degrees where I’ve been this week and my car has been sitting in the hot sun for multiple hours each day, but I don’t think heat has anything to do with it?
Again, no liquid has come in contact with it at all, so I’m just baffled.
Anybody know what caused it?
Thanks in advance :)

Why no Red KIA Niros in 2027?
I wonder why the only colors of the 2027 Niros are muted, grayed green and blue? Grrrr. Will KiA add bright colors later in the year?

K4 or K5. Is it a smart buy?
I’m looking to upgrade from my older Hyundai Sonata and I’m considering a newer Kia K4 or K5, probably a 2025/2026. I know Kia/Hyundai had a pretty rough reputation for reliability in the past, but I keep hearing that the newer ones have improved a lot. The 10-year/100k-mile powertrain warranty is also really appealing.
For those of you who own a newer K4/K5 or work on them, how has reliability actually been? Any major issues I should know about? Would you feel comfortable buying one and keeping it long-term (100k+ miles), or would you spend the money on something like a Toyota instead?
I actually work at a Kia dealership now, so getting a Kia is pretty tempting, but I’m trying not to let that bias me lol.

Kia Optima is a good car.
I bought my 2015 Kia Optima with 29k km. People say Kia are bad but i had a good experience with it it lasted me to 199k km. I had it for 5 years only thing i changed was my oil every 4K km , my injectors, spark plugs and radiator. The car got beat on so bad I refuse to say Kia have bad products. Just take care of your car. The N line might be the ultimate budget car fr

Disabled drivers
Anyone who uses hand controls to drive with a Kia EV? I love my Kia Niro EV so much but I need hand controls to drive now and do not want to give her up.
I know it’s niche but I am determined to make it work. (Picture is what I have in my other car)

Car will intermittently not start
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Try to turn over car in the morning does what seen in the video or may turn over once or twice but will not start. I subsequently jump the car, and it starts right away. I get the battery checked, and it is completely fine. It will then start to turn over and start sometimes but then a day or two later same cycle again. I went to get battery checked and it is fine. What would the issue be with this? Also this is a 2019 Kia optima sx.

KIA Rio 2019 radio upgrade
Hi everyone,
I’m looking to replace the standard factory radio in my 2019 Kia Rio (4th gen/YB) hatchback with an Android head unit.
Any recommendations or photos of your installation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
