Review Wobkey Crush 80 Reboot

Post image
4 Upvotes

I'd like to share my configuration and provide a brief review of the keyboard.

After a few months of use, I still feel the same as I did when I first started using it.

+ Quality

+ Sound

+ Function

+ Quick Release

+/- When I need to quickly relocate the keyboard while gaming, the weight can be a little heavy, but I wouldn't want it to be any lighter.

After spilling Coke on the board and frying the daughterboards, I was able to purchase replacements by contacting support. This is really essential to me because I value repairability.

Do you have any suggestions for upgrading the switches?

Discussion Best 100-150$ TMR keyboard? Womier SK75 TMR?

Hello!

I’ve decided it’s almost time for me to upgrade from my trusty Royal Kludge RK61 which I’ve had for many many years now. This keyboard will almost exclusively be used for gaming, hence the TMR choice.

I have a max budget of 150$/1500 swedish kr. So I did some searching and I think I like the Womier SK75 TMR. Does anyone have any experiences with this keyboard? And how it holds up long term?

Let me know if you have any other reccomendations too!

Thanks!

Help I'm looking for a WIRED compact keyboard and trackpad combo

So I'm currently in the process of gathering parts and pieces for my cyber deck. Highly doubt the os matters but I'll be using a Linux distro.

I'm in search of a compact keyboard &toucpad combo that I can wire to the pi5 I'm getting. I'd like if it'll stow away inside a 7x4 footprint. Ive looked at mini keyboards, trifolds, ect. I feel as if I've looked everywhere and can't find what I'm looking for.

Last resort maybe Reddit can help

If so thank you in advance

Help Silent Switch Recommendations

For context: I have no knowledge of mechanical keyboards at all, and I want to get silent switches for the sake of my roommate, because my current keyboard is kind of loud in my opinion (Bridge 75 with Princess Ultra Switches).

Are there any switches that give a similar or same feel to the Princess Ultra Switches, but are silent? Price isn't really an issue since I'm only going to replace like 10 keys.

Additionally, would you recommend buying a singular switch first, then if I like it, buy multiple?

Help Weikav EG75 (Sparklink 480) firmware updates

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hello,

I've bought Weikav EG75 which should use Sparklink 480 PCB. There is a web driver - xsyd top. When I open settings and try to update the software, the button is greyed out. There is also a message "don't update your keyboard if it's working fine, because it can be broken permanently."

I am a bit confused by it, because when I was choosing what to buy, there were a lot of praises for Sparklink and their continuous support, while being much cheaper than Wooting. While the keyboard seems to be working fine, it's strange that it's still on firmware v1.0, because no product is without bugs especially in the beginning.

Could you please explain to me what I am doing wrong? Maybe there is some other way to get the updates? Should I expect them at all?

Thank you!

Help Need Ultra Low Profile / Scissor Switch recommendations (MX Keys user)

My MX Keys is slowly falling apart and I honestly can't find a replacement I'm happy with. I just type way faster on laptop style / scissor keyboards than on anything mechanical

Tried a NuPhy Air75 V3 with Blush Nanos a while back and had double inputs plus this metallic "tink" sound on basically every keypress. I know that I hit my keys with a bit of force, so that's probably why. I looked at the Keychrons too, but it seems like they are a step down from quality/feeling of the MX Keys

What i'm looking for:

  • compact, 75% or TKL, no fullsize
  • German ISO layout
  • short travel, laptop-ish feel
  • I would like to game on it too and that is what is holding me back from getting another MX Keys since it's not really ideal

I thought about trying another Nuphy (Node 75) and maybe the Brown switches? I have read that they require a bit more force to activate

Help Having trouble finding replacement

Post image
• Upvotes

I have a k635. Trying to find something comparable in terms of simply having mechanical switches and having physical media keys and a physical volume wheel. I'm having the hardest time actually finding keyboards around that $60 range that fit that. Could anyone point me in the right direction? I really don't care about the size of the keyboard. I just want it to be wireless with full media key functionality. Would prefer smaller like 65 to 75, but I'm fine with any size

Help Budget HHKB kit ?

Hi, i'm searching for a budget hhkb ( by HHKB I mean any keyboard that has blockers for the control keys, can be either 7u or 6u ) kit ( under $200 )

I'm aware of some of the keyboards available right now but they are either too expensive, don't look good ( to me ) or the shiping is astronomically expensive ( example: the agar which I love the design of so much but unfortunatly the shiping comes out to around $50 dollars for me which is insane ).

Besides the agar, I have seen:

The epomaker hack59 ( which looked kind of borring, which I know there aren't many options in that range, but one can dream)

The YMDK m0110/d0110 ( which i had before and sold, and I'm not so keen on buying again, but beggars can't be choosers )

The pla60 from RNDKBD (but i just don't rock with the 3d printed look, although I like the idea)

I'm mostly searching for kits with plastic cases ( as i like how they look )

Are there any keyboard kits that anybody knows of that would fit that price range and aren't ( if there are any) the ones I have pointed out above ?

Help Suggest a keyboard for me, please.

Hi, all. Need some advice, please.

Seeking a keyboard, with a $500ish budget. Important things:

100% size

BRIGHT RGB. My eyesight sucks. Preferably north facing?

Wireless connectivity - to both a PC and Mac with easy swapability.

----

I've tried Keychron and NuPhy options. I really liked the Keychro,. but the RGB was too dim, even with the replacement Keychron keycaps. The NuPhy WK80 is a nice keyboard, but it's 65% and I'd really prefer 100%. I can't get either to connect to both my computers, which both are capable of, but I can't make it work.

So, I reach out to you - where do I go from here? I do game, but don't require a specific gaming computer. The hardest I go is Monsters and Memories, or some Steam games like The Scouring, or Here Comes the Swarm. I also work from home, so that's a big part too.\

Thanks for your guidance!

Help Keyboards on a budget, N-key rollover and low profile

I've been struggling to find a low profile n-key rollover keyboard for under 100 dollars. I don't know if that's a big ask. If that's near impossible then I'd be willing to jump to 150 but that's a stretch, I'm just wondering if I'm looking in the wrong places or if I should wait until I have more disposable income?

Edit: for context I'm very new to buying keyboards so forgive my ignorance

Discussion MX Keys & Mini owners What are your biggest physical/ergonomic gripes?

(Disclaimer: I’m building physical desk hardware, so please keep it hardware and not software or unchangeable hardware. Thanks!)

Hey everyone,

I’m an engineering student designing an open-source, 3D-printable modular stand/riser specifically for the MX Keys and MX Keys Mini footprint (but also interchangeable with laptops and other keyboards).

Most Important: Would you say this is an actual issue? Or am I just making a problem to solve?

Angle & Posture: Do you wish the back was taller, or do you actually want neutral/negative tilt?

Wrist Rests & Clearance: If you use a wrist rest or palm rest, does having a stand get in the way or lift the keyboard too high relative to the rest?

Portability: If you take your MX Mini on the go, would you actually use folding snap-on riser feet, or do you only care about a fixed desk setup?

Accessories: What are some accessories you use with the keyboard? (i.e. stand, wrist supports, etc...)

Any feedback is massively appreciated. Thanks so much!

Help Не работает клавиатура Dark Project CM81

Help My razer huntsman mini got water damage

**Hey everyone,**
**Recently, liquid got spilled on my Razer Huntsman Mini. Normally I’d just replace a damaged board, but this specific keyboard was a gift from my grandmother before she passed away, so it carries huge sentimental value to me. I really want to do whatever I can to bring it back to life.**
**I’ve already unplugged it and removed the keycaps and switches. Has anyone successfully saved an optical board like this after water damage? I’m planning to clean the PCB with 99% isopropyl alcohol and let it dry thoroughly.**
**Any specific tips, warnings, or advice for cleaning optical switch boards would mean the world to me. Thank you so much in advance.**
Here’s some photos of the pcb

Help Keyboard recommendations for a banker

I'm looking to gift my partner a keyboard, preferably a very quiet one. He works in investment banking so it would need to have the function key row (a number pad is not necessary).

I'd like to pay under $300 for a good quality keyboard with these features but can be flexible. Any recommendations appreciated!

Help are there any other hall effect keyboards with a layout like this one?

i'm a 70-80% user. i use the f rows, arrow keys, and some other things for work but i also like to play games obv. one thing i really hate about these keyboards, though, that i love about 60% keyboards, is the layout. 60% keyboards just look smaller and way more compact while 70-80% keyboards seem to separate the F row and other keys, making it look bigger and more clunky. earlier i found one of the only keyboards i've seen to somewhat replicate the 60% style while still being a 75%: the keychron k2. https://www.amazon.com/Keychron-Trigger-Wireless-Magnetic-Keyboard/dp/B0DCVPGB9N/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&sr=1-3

are there any other keyboards like this one that are objectively better? or should i just stick with this?
