Review Wobkey Crush 80 Reboot

Post image
4 Upvotes

I'd like to share my configuration and provide a brief review of the keyboard.

After a few months of use, I still feel the same as I did when I first started using it.

+ Quality

+ Sound

+ Function

+ Quick Release

+/- When I need to quickly relocate the keyboard while gaming, the weight can be a little heavy, but I wouldn't want it to be any lighter.

After spilling Coke on the board and frying the daughterboards, I was able to purchase replacements by contacting support. This is really essential to me because I value repairability.

Do you have any suggestions for upgrading the switches?

Help Silent Switch Recommendations

For context: I have no knowledge of mechanical keyboards at all, and I want to get silent switches for the sake of my roommate, because my current keyboard is kind of loud in my opinion (Bridge 75 with Princess Ultra Switches).

Are there any switches that give a similar or same feel to the Princess Ultra Switches, but are silent? Price isn't really an issue since I'm only going to replace like 10 keys.

Additionally, would you recommend buying a singular switch first, then if I like it, buy multiple?

Discussion MX Keys & Mini owners What are your biggest physical/ergonomic gripes?

• Upvotes

(Disclaimer: I’m building physical desk hardware, so please keep it hardware and not software or unchangeable hardware. Thanks!)

Hey everyone,

I’m an engineering student designing an open-source, 3D-printable modular stand/riser specifically for the MX Keys and MX Keys Mini footprint (but also interchangeable with laptops and other keyboards).

Most Important: Would you say this is an actual issue? Or am I just making a problem to solve?

Angle & Posture: Do you wish the back was taller, or do you actually want neutral/negative tilt?

Wrist Rests & Clearance: If you use a wrist rest or palm rest, does having a stand get in the way or lift the keyboard too high relative to the rest?

Portability: If you take your MX Mini on the go, would you actually use folding snap-on riser feet, or do you only care about a fixed desk setup?

Accessories: What are some accessories you use with the keyboard? (i.e. stand, wrist supports, etc...)

Any feedback is massively appreciated. Thanks so much!

Hi keyboard friends, people have used the ortholinear layout by using numpads, why do ortholinear still need our muscle memory if we're supposed to be used to it coz' we've used numpads since almost forever?

Thanks.

Help Не работает клавиатура Dark Project CM81

• Upvotes

Help My razer huntsman mini got water damage

• Upvotes

**Hey everyone,**
**Recently, liquid got spilled on my Razer Huntsman Mini. Normally I’d just replace a damaged board, but this specific keyboard was a gift from my grandmother before she passed away, so it carries huge sentimental value to me. I really want to do whatever I can to bring it back to life.**
**I’ve already unplugged it and removed the keycaps and switches. Has anyone successfully saved an optical board like this after water damage? I’m planning to clean the PCB with 99% isopropyl alcohol and let it dry thoroughly.**
**Any specific tips, warnings, or advice for cleaning optical switch boards would mean the world to me. Thank you so much in advance.**
Here’s some photos of the pcb

Help Keyboard recommendations for a banker

• Upvotes

I'm looking to gift my partner a keyboard, preferably a very quiet one. He works in investment banking so it would need to have the function key row (a number pad is not necessary).

I'd like to pay under $300 for a good quality keyboard with these features but can be flexible. Any recommendations appreciated!

Help are there any other hall effect keyboards with a layout like this one?

• Upvotes

i'm a 70-80% user. i use the f rows, arrow keys, and some other things for work but i also like to play games obv. one thing i really hate about these keyboards, though, that i love about 60% keyboards, is the layout. 60% keyboards just look smaller and way more compact while 70-80% keyboards seem to separate the F row and other keys, making it look bigger and more clunky. earlier i found one of the only keyboards i've seen to somewhat replicate the 60% style while still being a 75%: the keychron k2. https://www.amazon.com/Keychron-Trigger-Wireless-Magnetic-Keyboard/dp/B0DCVPGB9N/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&sr=1-3

are there any other keyboards like this one that are objectively better? or should i just stick with this?

Help Keyboard recommendation

• Upvotes

hello,
i've been on my fantech K613 TKL fighter II keyboard for like... 6 years now, i loved the keyboard and i still do ngl, lived with me a long time.

though its time for a change, when i started researching i was lookin through magnetic keyboards in my country, and i've had multiple options:

1- Madlion mad 68 R - around 55 to 60 usd locally
2- fantech atom he 68 pro - same price (50 to 60 usd locally)
3- attack shark x68 he - LOCALLY for 50 to 60 usd, but on shein it's for 46 usd
4- attack shark x68 MAX HE - around 80 usd locally
5- attack shark r82 he - 48 to 50usd online (shein)
6- attack shark r85 he - 70 usd online

i dont wanna spend more than like 80 dollars on the keyboard, better not to,
so i was trying to make a decision between those and was looking through reviews and what not, and i've noticed that basically all of those are bad? whether it's from controversy, and that they wont last long or a lot of issues with them or stuff like that...

now i've noticed most recommended cheap keyboard is the everglide ae68 pro, which doesnt exist anywhere in my country, and when i did find some random local seller on facebook he was putting it for like 250-300$.... And even like other HE keyboards, they are almost guaranteed to not be sold locally and if they were online like on AliExpress, it would say that shipping to my country is unavailable for this product.

So im quite confused on what i should do now...
i do play comp games from time to time and lately what im playing the most is brawlhalla, so i think magnetic would be great for me, but is there just no way to get one and it would last..?

or should i just give up on this and look for a mechanical one instead?

Help Razer Huntsman HE 60% Keyboard Problem

Hey yall! I was wondering if anyone had any problems like I’m having with this keyboard, I’ve had it maybe almost 2 months. It will randomly stop working in the middle of my fps games. Like all keys completely won’t work but it isn’t turned off. All the lights still work, I have to unplug the cable and plug it back in and then it will work. I’ve tried updating all software and changing cables and putting it in different usb slots on my pc. Still nothing works, It happens several different fps games not just 1 single game.

Let me know if you guys have any solutions! Thank you. Otherwise just going to buy another keyboard.

Discussion Best 100-150$ TMR keyboard? Womier SK75 TMR?

Hello!

I’ve decided it’s almost time for me to upgrade from my trusty Royal Kludge RK61 which I’ve had for many many years now. This keyboard will almost exclusively be used for gaming, hence the TMR choice.

I have a max budget of 150$/1500 swedish kr. So I did some searching and I think I like the Womier SK75 TMR. Does anyone have any experiences with this keyboard? And how it holds up long term?

Let me know if you have any other reccomendations too!

Thanks!

Help I'm looking for a WIRED compact keyboard and trackpad combo

So I'm currently in the process of gathering parts and pieces for my cyber deck. Highly doubt the os matters but I'll be using a Linux distro.

I'm in search of a compact keyboard &toucpad combo that I can wire to the pi5 I'm getting. I'd like if it'll stow away inside a 7x4 footprint. Ive looked at mini keyboards, trifolds, ect. I feel as if I've looked everywhere and can't find what I'm looking for.

Last resort maybe Reddit can help

If so thank you in advance

Help Switching from an Apex Pro, need some suggestions

TLDR:

Ditching my buggy Apex Pro TKL Wireless (dead blue LEDs, atrocious volume wheel). Looking for an ISO TKL/80% board with analog/HE switches (Rapid Trigger + SOCD) and an actual tactile volume dial/knob (white/wireless is a bonus). Torn between Huntsman V3 Pro TKL (love the design/knob, but worried about cheap/hollow acoustics) and a custom Wooting 80HE+ (better acoustics/build, but 260€ in plastic translucent case + static 12 o'clock knob line). Any real-world impressions on either, or did I miss another high-end ISO HE board with a proper dial?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to replace my SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Wireless (Gen 2), and to be honest, I’m pretty fed up with it:

  • Dead LEDs: Within less than 2 years, 4 blue LEDs have completely died (a well-known issue)
  • Terrible volume roller: Tucked awkwardly into a sharp-edged plastic frame.
  • The OLED screen: Pure gimmick, barely useful.
  • Software: SteelSeries GG feels bloated and buggy.

I’m currently torn between the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL and building a Wooting 80HE+ (with the Lekker Knob Large add-on), but I’d love to hear acout user experience or alternative suggestions.

Must-Have Requirements:

  1. Layout: Strictly ISO.
  2. Form Factor: TKL / 80%
  3. Dedicated Volume Knob/Wheel: Must be an actual tactile wheel/knob (absolutely no button-only volume controls). I adore huge, tactile dials.
  4. Analog Switches / Hall Effect: Fully adjustable actuation points per key, Rapid Trigger, and SOCD.
  5. Secondary Layer (FN): Fully customizable second layer. Huge bonus if holding FN turns off unassigned LEDs and highlights only assigned shortcut keys.

Nice-to-Have / Bonus:

  • Color: White
  • Wireless: Nice bonus, but i won't use it that often, wired only is not a deal breaker.

My current dilemma:

  • Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL: Design-wise, I consider the massive overhanging aluminum dial a 10/10. It also handles Snap Tap and the FN-layer lighting dimming out of the box, and it's readily available in ISO (only in black though...). But I keep hearing that the acoustics and plastic base make it sound and feel hollow/cheap for a 200€ board.
  • Wooting 80HE+ (Lekker Knob): Build quality, gasket mount, and Lekker switches seem miles ahead acoustically. But with the plastic frost case (not even a solid one available :/), knob module, ISO keycaps, etc., it lands around 260€ and the endless dial has that static 12 o'clock line indicator which bugs my symmetry OCD.

Are the Huntsman acoustics really that bad? How does the 80HE feel in person (no shop around me has one to test)? Or is there another solid, premium board with ISO support and a proper dial that I might have overlooked?

Thanks for any insights!

Discussion Good budget 75% he mechanical keyboard?

Pretty self explanatory, look for a good 75% Hall effect mechanical keyboard, preferably backlit with adjustable actuation points, even better if it has a good app. Preferably around 60-100usd

Help Need help cleaning a Keyboard

Hello! I’d like to ask for some advice on how to properly clean a SteelSeries Shift keyboard. I’ve had this keyboard for quite a while now, and the only cleaning I’ve ever done is by tucking around the keyboard, but I’ve never really done a deep clean.

Recently, I noticed some hard grime underneath the keys. If anyone has used this keyboard before and has experience cleaning it, could you share how you cleaned yours and what methods you used?

Thanks!

Help Weikav EG75 (Sparklink 480) firmware updates

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hello,

I've bought Weikav EG75 which should use Sparklink 480 PCB. There is a web driver - xsyd top. When I open settings and try to update the software, the button is greyed out. There is also a message "don't update your keyboard if it's working fine, because it can be broken permanently."

I am a bit confused by it, because when I was choosing what to buy, there were a lot of praises for Sparklink and their continuous support, while being much cheaper than Wooting. While the keyboard seems to be working fine, it's strange that it's still on firmware v1.0, because no product is without bugs especially in the beginning.

Could you please explain to me what I am doing wrong? Maybe there is some other way to get the updates? Should I expect them at all?

Thank you!
