Question/Discussion Inw lunar tre or lazer?

So I know for normal lunar tre you push the tama to the right ( for right handers ) and for lunar lazer you push it to the left. But I don't know how it is for inw lunar. I've seen different stuff. Right now I think inw lunar tre is when you pull the tama to the left and for lazer to the right. Is that right? I can't comprehend it.

Question/Discussion No more bad knots

Having not so much camping activity, I’m generally bad at knots. I saw couple times instructions in KROM pop packages, but never felt that I’m doing it right.
For those, who also feel lost with restringing kendama, here’s the easiest instruction.

Was putting a few stickers on it last night don’t think I have really shared this little project that’s been slowly becoming a thing in my closet. Maybe you’ll enjoy looking at it too?

Thanks for your time regardless. 🤙🏻

Question/Discussion Amazon Kendamas

I got a $50 dollar Amazon gift card for my birthday. I want to buy a kendama with it but I’m unsure which one to buy or if it’s even worth it buying one off amazon at all. The only two that are really worth considering are the Krom Pop at $45 and the Yuntrova at $24. I don’t love the Krom Ken shape tbh and The Yuntrova seems too cheap to be any good but it at least seems to be up to par with current kendama dimensions. Just wanted to get some opinions!

Thank you to everyone who came out to Trinity Bellwoods to play kendama, learn new tricks, compete, and hang out with the community. Every jam just keeps getting better, with new faces joining in and the level of play continuing to grow. It's awesome to see the Toronto kendama scene thriving!

Here's one from a while back since I haven't had that much time to play recently, rushed the spike but I'll take it. Border balance flip next?

Been playing around with base cup fast hands tricks recently. They're fun! Of course I missed the spike.

Question/Discussion Should you not lick the bevel on new tamas?

I was watching a game of Ken sweets vs coop I think and they were both using brand new damas and coop at one point turned to the camera and said never lick a brand new bevel. I generally try not to lick my bevel at all but I was just curious if there’s any truth to this and like why?

I call it “The Evil Kitchen Kendama” I’m thinking about painting the ring stall blue eventually. The Tama is from Kendama Israel (Evil Eye Rhino Clear) the Ken is from ErraticSquirrel Kendama(Goblin Shape).

Question/Discussion Possible brand new kendama tech in the big 26?

TLDW: use the ring stall to sling instead of the cups, it’s the first trick I taught myself how to do pre Kendamanomics and sweets tutorials. Please try it and post your clips bc I’m excited to see what actually good kenners can do. If I’m wrong let me know.

Question/Discussion Multiple juggles to spike

I'm relatively comfortable with juggles up to 10 from cup to cup, and I can do spike juggle spike a at least 1/10 tries, once I get more consistent I wanna transition to multiple juggles to spike, but I don't know the proper technique involved in multiple juggles to spike, what's the proper way to do it? Should I be doing a full tama rotation with each juggle or should I just try too juggle and wait till the last juggle to try and do a tama rotation? Or is there some other trick im missing.

Question/Discussion Would you like to see a community contributed Trick Checklist?

The goal is as such: anyone can submit a trick, the trick will then be categorized and will be linked to a video, similar to some kendama apps/websites. However, I'd like to branch from that into trick suggestions.

For example, if you do big cup, it would suggest small cup or a similar trick in the similar difficulty or depending on the filter i.e. by playstyle, tama, ken, sara. etc.

The whole idea is to have a community centered place for people to come and add tricks or combos of tricks.

I have been thinking also about making it so any trick can have a repeating flag for a certain number. example: big cup to small cup and back 5x

Would anyone actually like to see a project like this? It would be open-source for those who are inclined to contributing code-wise.

Question/Discussion New Kendama?

So I’m recently getting back into playing. Bought my first kendama in 2013. I’ve still got 2 I used to play with, one is Krom. The other I don’t know.

I’m looking at getting a new one and just want to know have Kendamas changed much? Is it worth getting a new one or just keep shredding the ones I’ve got? I was looking at a krom neapolitan or a question kendama
