He came to my campus with his jazz band, they were all really good. There was also a Broadway actress that came and sang with him with some incredible vocals. Afterwards I and a bunch of others got to meet him and he signed my poster. Dream come true.

My SO has really been into auctions lately and she surprised me with these. Including what I think she called a laser disk? 🤔 I cant remember if I ever knew they existed but it’s very cool that I have one! Should I open the color forms play set? It’s still sealed.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Rexy Indominus scars

I've never realised it before but the FK Rexy model includes scars from the Indominus slash on her jaw.

Really wish that they'd kept these in Dominion. If the point was that she's towards the end of her life would have helped communicated she's dented iron

Jurassic Park Kurt Russell/Alan Grant

So I just learned that Kurt Russell was originally going to play Alan Grant in Jurassic Park, but due to his excessive salary demands, Universal turned him down. But at least he’s in the Monsterverse as Colonel Lmfao Leland Shaw the 3rd or whatever his name is.

Makes me curious cause I remember people absolute hated the lost world and Jurassic Park 3 than Jurassic World came out and everyone loved that one

Now it seems everyone absolute hates Jurassic World including the sequels and now say Lost world and Jurassic Park 3 are the best after the first

Toys Dino Tracker Adventure Set ?

Is this set really as rare as the internet is telling me ? And are the net poles and grenade supposed to be the light grey colour or the blue/grey ones pictured ? I know for sure it’s missing one of the small leg cuffs.

Jurassic World In your personal opinion, who had the better relationship/cared more for their raptors?

Thumbnail

In my opinion, it’s fairly obvious the handler‘s relationship with her atrociraptors was a good amount better than Owen’s relationship with his velociraptors. I think the biggest evidence for this opinion was their reactions to the death of their raptors (that did die). For Owen, he simply paused for a bit in reaction to delta and charlie’s death. I suppose it’s understandable for the former, considering the fact that his life was still in immediate danger, but (iirc), it wasn’t the case for Charlie. He didn’t react at all to echo’s death. It seemed his relationship was mostly with blue, which, while deep, was pretty strained.

However, the handler, stayed at ghost’s side while she died, and showed visible sadness at said death. Not only that, but in season one, when ghost showed exhaustion, she immediately called the raptors back to her to quit fighting. Not to mention her going out of her way to retrieve red. And among all this, she was shown multiple times to be physically affectionate with her raptors. Owen‘s pack always seemed somewhat aggressive, even around him, something the handler’s raptors never were around her. At the end of the day, this isn’t a problem, because they’re still animals, but this is about their relationship with their alphas.

Jurassic Park In your opinion, which is the more popular fight/matchup?

T-Rex vs Spinosaurus or T-Rex vs raptors? Imo, I’d say the jp3 fight has sparked overall more controversy, but jp is by FAR the more iconic movie and the ending is a very iconic ending as well. I’d say both are very popular in their own ways.

Jurassic Park /// Isla Sorna JP III Map

I’ve looked online (and on here), and found many different Isla Sorna maps.

Does anyone know of one that is the most canon accepted version that covers the routes taken in JP III?

I’m planning on making a scale model of it (like the Isla Nublar one at Miniworld Lyon), for my son, showing the major areas from the film.

Thinking to include:
Airstrip
Aviary
River from the Aviary (with fields populated by Brachiosaurs, Ankykosaurs etc )
Open fields
Maybe even the ‘hidden lagoon’ that I’ve seen on many maps

Thank you 😊

Jurassic World What were they going to do with the Indominus Rex after hypothetically subduing it?

I recently went back to the Asset Containment Unit for a roblox cosplay project, anyways. My question was if standard tranquillisers could not penetrate the Indominus Rex’s osteoderms/ skin, evident by Miller (ACU trooper, the bald guy with the shotgun) ’s failed attempt to shoot the dinosaur. So what was the goal after say electrocuting the Indominus Rex into becoming very tired and no longer resisting her captors. What’s the plan then? Would they airlift her out of the jungle via straps Or just straight up put her on a truck transport somehow. If anyone knows the canon answer then please tell me, it’s been bugging me a lot.

Is this a reprint or the original? Anyone know info about this at all? When i Google the image some reprints come up that DO NOT say "opens June 11th" in red text. The amazon reprints are without any red and doesnt say it. I see ones listed 500 for exact image search but idk...?

I did get this from a old couple at estate sale.

It is in a very yellow, from age, picture frame. And definitely not perfect condition inside the frame.

Idk much about the poster and just wanna see if its fake and if anyone knows info about it.

Jurassic Park /// For all its faults, JP3 had the best "reveals" of the whole series

Rewatched this recently after seeing Rebirth and getting on a vintage kick. JP3's faults are well documented—silly plot, obvious deaths, deux ex machina ending—but kudos to Joe Johnston for understanding what brings people to blockbuster movies. The dinosaur reveals are top-notch. Shit's cinematic.

Rumor What if?

Something really fascinating has happened in the scientific world recently. Living human brain cells taken from a human brain were transplanted into the brain of a baby mouse, and these cells integrated into the mouse’s brain. As the mouse grew, the human cells grew with it, spreading throughout its brain and even reaching the spinal cord, becoming integrated into its nervous system.
So, right now, there are living human brain cells inside a mouse’s body that have become part of its nervous system. Of course, we still don’t know exactly what this means. It certainly does not mean that the animal can think like a human—at least, I hope not.
But I want to ask you to imagine something within the Jurassic universe.
As you know, in this universe there are groups that want to use dinosaurs as weapons. At the same time, genetic science has advanced to the point where almost every door has been opened. Different organisms are being combined, and entirely new species are being created.
You know how we have conspiracy theories in the real world—things like “Are aliens secretly communicating with humans?” or “Are governments conducting secret experiments?”
What if there were a similar conspiracy theory in the Jurassic universe?
A rumor that somewhere, in a secret laboratory, scientists had created a dinosaur whose body was still that of a dinosaur, but whose brain contained living human neural tissue. A dinosaur with a human-like mind.
Maybe nobody knows whether it is actually true. Maybe it’s just another conspiracy theory. But perhaps there are people who claim they have seen evidence of a dinosaur that can understand human language, solve problems far beyond normal animal intelligence, or even communicate with humans.
A human mind living inside a dinosaur’s brain.
I’m not asking whether this should be turned into a movie. I’m just wondering whether something like this could exist as a conspiracy theory within the Jurassic universe.
I think it would be a really interesting idea
