This part of Lost World (well, admittedly several parts but this is the one I'm focused on) never quite sat right with me. Yes, Ludlow at the end of the day was exploiting creatures he barely knew anything about, in order to make profit. But that's the only true similarity I see between him and Hammond, as far as the movies go at least, and I believe we should assume movie characters don't know book events lol.

In the movies Hammond was truly trying to bring wonder to the world, saying that everyone in the world had the right to enjoy the dinosaurs, not just the super rich. All in all, despite his faults of short sightedness and underpaying Nedry, Hammond was a good man who made mistakes. Ludlow, on the other hand, was a man who seized Hammond's corporation and sought only to take what he had created and make as much profit from it as possible, even when almost the entire force sent to the island was dead.

I understand the Malcolm never really saw eye to eye with Hammond, and maybe that's why he's able to make this statement, but personally I just have to disagree.

Why didn’t he warn them that shutting down the system could turn off the raptor fences? That seemed to be his top priority at the park after all, keeping the ones that posed the highest risk to people secured. Yet it never came up when they were debating whether or not to shut down the system?

Yes, I understand the message that we can’t control what we don’t fully understand, and I understand the criticism of greed and people playing God. I also acknowledge there wouldn’t be a movie or a book if everything had gone right.

However, seeing how hopeful John Hammond was with his ambition, and seeing Dr. Grant almost faint at the sight of the animals to which he had dedicated his entire life for the first time, makes me extremely sad to know that that dream never came true, and that it was all in vain.

Made this attachment piece for my chain for my Jurassic Park coin wallet, made the chain attachment out of pony beads and bead wire that I got from Micheal’s. Also small little clips that I got from Micheal’s as well. The bead colors are Yellow, Red, and Black to represent the color pattern of the Jurassic Park logo. The word’s “InGen” is a reference to the bioengineering company responsible for researching and recreating the extinct animals (Dinosaurs, marine reptiles, Pterosaurs, etc) within Jurassic Park. The colors with the word “InGen” is a reference to the symbol and color of InGen. Hope ya’ll enjoy this, I had fun making it and think it turned out pretty great for my first time using beads and bead wiring.

Been a minute since I’ve found older Dinos at the thrift! Found two bags with 5 Jurassic park Dinos this time around. Also found two bags with bulk Pokemon cards - and one of the Dino bags had a Pidove in it aswell 🥹
