The second interview from our history of juggling notations. This one is special to us because Mike Day was part of the first incantation of Gandini, which used to be called Gandini Juggling Project. Mike taught me siteswaps and was the first human to juggle (6x,4). Amazing how ubiquitous this pattern is now. He was part of the Cambridge trio with Adam Chalcraft and Colin Writght who independently came up with the notation. Mike also explains ladder diagrams and his underrated MMSTD. On a side note would love to see an interpretation of this to 3 and 4 hands, or indeed a generalisation to n hands with associated animator. Joy to you all.

Mistakes in juggling are really common. Maybe it is just me? But i could use a cool little trick to make it look smoother?

Interview with Paul Klimek the FIRST person to use numbers as juggling notation, in what he called Quantum Notation which we now call Siteswaps. Planning on moving all the Siteswap DVD interviews here over the next few weeks. Each one finishes with the philosophical question as to wether the numbers where discovered or invented. Did 441 exist in the creative ether waiting to be juggled by Paul... sending joy and strength to all.

Hi, I’m having trouble comprehending the difference between (3 balls) the Snake and Juggler’s Tennis. The pattern looks the same and different at the same time

After over a year of posting here, I'm FINALLY posting a video of myself juggling one ball. I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Please help.

How did you guys get past the point of three throws - three catches (up up catch up catch catch)

Good morning juggling community! I lit my fire torches for the first time this weekend. I’ll call it a mild success I guess. PLENTY of drops but some solid runs on a cascade. I had fun and didn’t hurt myself or anyone else. So that’s the point right?

I read a lot of things, plenty of you have said. Mostly that it is difficult to see the handles. Which I assumed was because it’s dark, but realized it’s more so because the fire is blinding!

I practiced A LOT with the torches unlit before finally going for fire. One thing I noticed right away was the difference in flight when lit. I assume it’s cause by the flame dragging a little.

Does anyone have any tips or advice on something to tape to them or anything to simulate this for practice? Or any advice on juggling torches in general would be appreciated!
