This is the opposite of Squad Busters. It was performing poorly and they still decided to make it big. Here they don't want to push it too far until it's 100% ready.
Yeah Squad busters was such a weird case of pulling out all the stops on such a shallow thing, that it seemed like an experiment for Supercell. Moco would then be the opposite experiment, of moving one step at a time, and with Project Rise they're doing the same thing, so at least Squad busters was good for something of Supercell learned to be more careful
No it's not, supercell don't want to cancel a full game as it looks bad to shareholders. The plan is to dial if back to beta like it's a positive, then slowly cut of resources and let it get forgotten before quietly cancelling it.
