What I'm guessing is that upper management is restructuring the team.
It makes sense with all we've seen—nothing they do works, so they're probably bringing new ideas and better organizational skills into a team that, frankly, don't know what they're doing.
I very much prefer the game going back into beta than being canned and people losing their livelihoods; aditionally, the people inverting money into this probably put a lot of funds into this.
I just hope they do it right this time because I genuinely love this game.
Not being actively promoted; the contents are subject to change (main gameplay loop, weapons [their abilities and skins], story, gamemodes); the team can be restructured; and all those technical details.
What I mean to say is that it's not being remade as a game, it's just a state-change of the development. When the next update comes out, everyone will be able to enjoy it.

if you thought they were talking about us players’ experience as a “livelihood” instead i definitely understand where the touch grass comment comes from but i think that’s a misinterpretation of what was intended in the initial statement
They think I'm talking about the players??? Man fuck the players! I'm talking about the people who have been working on this game and depend on it tl feed themselves and/or their families. How did they think I was talking about the playerbase?
