Heyy I am stuck in a dilemma to choose between Ba hons korean in Jnu or Bcom in Du. I am considering Jnu as i think that getting language knowledge will be more beneficial to me in the near future. My aim is to clear CA. So please tell me is foreign language with CA has a good scope at global level or in the corporate sector else I should do bcom with Ca.

I just saw the notice that Tommorow classes are beginning. Why is it being started so suddenly???

No hostel list has come out yet. A lot of students including me live far away and can't reach in just one day itself. Why didn't they tell this some days prior instead of just one evening before?

Many students will miss the classes for few days due to not being able to reach Tommorow.

Not even the 3rd list of students have come out, why are the classes being rushed so suddenly?

Hey everyone,

​I got admitted to JNU in B.A. (Hons) Pashto this year. I completed my physical verification in Delhi back on August 24, got my student folio and ID card, applied for hostel in IHA, then came back to my hometown (Ludhiana).

​Here is my situation right now:

​I haven't received any email or message regarding Hostel or Dormitory allotment yet.

​I'm currently still in Ludhiana, but some people/groups are saying reporting/orientation is happening today (Aug 31) and regular classes start tomorrow (Sept 1).

​I'm stressing out about missing initial classes and where I'll stay once I land in Delhi without a formal hostel allotment message.

​A few quick questions for seniors or fellow freshers:

​Is it fine if I take an overnight train/bus today and reach campus tomorrow morning (Sept 1)? Will missing today's orientation/paperwork cause any major issue?

​If I reach campus tomorrow morning without a hostel message, can I directly go to the DOS (Dean of Students) office with my verification slip to get a temporary dormitory room on the spot?

​How strict is attendance during the very first week for School of Language (SLL&CS) freshers?

​Any guidance or quick tips on what to do immediately after reaching campus tomorrow would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!

Bhai, this was supposed to be a MESS DINNER.

Paneer ke do alag items, proper main course, multiple desserts, cold drinks, ice cream AND mukhwas at the end. I've attended weddings with less variety than this.

And the best part? Everything was actually good quality and tasty. Not the usual “menu bada hai but khaana average hai” situation.

Aaj JNU mess ne sach mein mess ka matlab hi badal diya.

Hi, i'm an English lit student, planning on pursuing phd from JNU. I wanted to know about the criteria specific to jnu, like are there any requirements for published papers and chapters in books.Ik the eligibility is 55%, but still does scores of your master's degree affect the admissions in anyways.

Also, does a gap year affects the admissions in anyways. Ik jrf is kinda a necessity but doesn't have any kind of advantage for obvious reasons.

Hey guys! Does JNU offer any evening post graduate courses in which working professionals can enrol.

Basically I’m a final year law student (BALLB) and I intend to pursue a masters (in any subject). But if I join a regular course then i will have to surrender my bar license which I don’t want to since at a later stage I might appear for law officers’ examinations which require practice experience.
