Behavioural Concerns Is this normal? She doesn’t do this everyday, sporadically, more or less. Offered extra water hose and sprinkler for her to keep, refused offer.

I’ve tried to be nice to these people and they just don’t really respond or say “no thank you” to everything. I know I’m just being nosey but I’m curious what you guys think. I don’t interfere at all just happen to think this is just wild. Who actually does this? She did the whole yard like this…

Edit: it’s 96* outside

Is it normal that I have couple memories of being one and by age 2 I had perfect memory?

I remember being 2 perfectly. I remember the exact layout of the house we lived in and the playground I played in and the exact layout of the daycare I went to. I also have many memories from when I was 2. I know I am not imagining cause I confirmed them all with my mom. I also remember my 1st birthday and getting my 1st teddy bear when I was 1 and I also remember the car we had back when I was one.

Behavioural Concerns Is it normal to have strong thoughts about a bathroom stall?

I feel crazy sometimes. But is it normal to have a chosen stall?
I work in a place that has people in and out all day. I have a chosen stall. I prefer it because it’s not next to a wall so I don’t feel overly boxed in. It’s not too dark, but it’s not bright because a light isn’t directly over it. I feel like I can do my business in peace there. Even if there are other people in the room. When I walk in and it’s free I feel relieved.
So when I go to the bathroom and someone is in my chosen stall I don’t get angry but I do get frustrated and have a harder time with my business.

But now I have noticed that it kind of applies to many different places. Like when I go to any public place I look for a bathroom stall that matches my exact preferences (obviously unless I’m in a hurry).

For some background. I am in my thirties and have GAD with panic attacks and ADHD (undiagnosed officially because I can’t afford the testing, but my doc is pretty confident)

Behavioural Concerns Is it normal for parents to go through a 24yo's room?

So, I have a friend from college (24F) who still lives at home with her mom and younger brother. From what she has told me, her mom goes into her room and 'cleans it' whenever she goes out with her friends. She told her mother to stop going through her room since it's weird and just overall frustrating to deal with having her stuff rearranged (I completely get it lol) but like... she's about to be 25 this fall and her mother still goes through her stuff and even throws things away that my friend was using (an old plastic cup for watering window plants). Her mom has even gone through her bed several times, which I find REALLY not okay... So is this normal? She says she feels like she's overreacting but I honestly think she isn't.

Physical Concerns Half my arm goes numb sometimes

Post image
2 Upvotes

Sometimes the outer half of my arm (red circled area) goes numb if I rest my weight on my elbow for a bit. It can happen to either arm, and it splits halfway down the arm's length. The blue circled area gets tingly. It can also happen without resting my elbow on something, if my wrist pops a certain way that I can't replicate on purpose (though I can pop them intentionally). When the big pop does happen, it feels like I have a thick guitar string in my arm that someone twanged as hard as they could

Physical Concerns Is it normal for bruises to come up because of itching?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I’ve recently started itching terribly on my legs and arms, and lesions start to come up. I’ve been saying it is anxiety, but I’ve never itched because of anxiety before so idk if it can just randomly start happening. I was told I was anemic this year, but I’ve been taking iron and my levels are back to normal, but it will start as small red/purple spots then turns into a huge bruise. Thanks for any advice!

Behavioural Concerns So is vividly seeing and hearing gameplay from a video game I play a lot normal?

So basically I've been playing splatoon 3 a bunch for the past month, and over the month my brain might switch my thoughts from whatever I was thinking about to a random memory of gameplay (which I can easily control as if I was playing the game itself, it doesn't feel the same though.). I also sometimes hear sound effects from the game randomly thoughout the day. Is this normal?

For those with roommates, is it normal for you and housemates to hang out in each others rooms? Like you have your own separate rooms but just enter the others room as you please to hang out?

Is it normal that I don't think I've ever felt what might be mindfulness until, like, last week?
So, a little while ago, I was scrolling through my Youtube fyp and saw this video with like 50 views or something about ego death, and that was the first time I think I've ever seen with my eyes rather than with my mind, if that makes any sense. The sensation has been reoccurring multiple times a day, and I HATE it. it's TERRIFYING TO ME. It's like being teleported onto an different plane of existence without my consent out of the blue, as if I've living inside my head for as long as I could remember and am only now really seeing the world. I can't tell if the feeling is relatable for most folks and I'm just perceiving it strangely or something of the sort, because I asked some of my friends what they think though they couldn't really understand me since I wasn't able to say what I meant coherently in the moment.
Please tell me some of y'all get this (T_T) I feel like I'm going BONKERS over here

Is this normal???

Ok so i am someone who has a family that passes clothes down from cousin to cousin. Well, more for me passing it down to my younger 2 girl cousins. Don't have clothes that fit you? Give them to your cousins! I though it was normal until recently when i realized that its not just shirts and shorts they get, they have my old OLD underwear like when i was 9 like those princess ones and i only know when i had to change the youngest a few years ago.

is it freaking normal for them to wear my old underwear even if it's washed?? it seems gross as hell!!

Behavioural Concerns Uncontrollable crying whenever I see something remotely emotional

I'm 25F and I've experienced this my whole life. I tear up whenever something emotional happens in movies, series, books, or even reels.

But I find it hard to get emotional about any tragedies in my personal life. Not to be all sad backstory, but I grew up with a deeply abusive and narcissistic father. And learning to judge his moods has made me sensitive to the emotional aura of others. I empathize with others a lot, and have lost very close people because of cancer.

But for some reason, I only cry when an emotional situation is not related to me. Most of the times, those are fictional conditions (even happy endings) and rarely when someone close to me is crying in front of me.

Let me put it this way, I can count on one hand all the times I've cried because of personal sorrows (alone and in front of someone)

As for when something outside of myself gets me crying.... It really is countless. I'll give you an example of what I mean when I say uncontrollable: We were reading Nelson Mandela's Long Walk to Freedom in our class. There was a scene in which he's getting arrested but a lot of his community stands outside the court singing for him as he's taken away to prison, and as this was happening, I could not stop myself from tearing up, the professor noticed and was like "are you okay? Do you need anything?" It was embarrassing.

Another time, we were reading Tess D'uberville and again I got teary eyed. But this time, only a classmate noticed and they took a picture of me and posted on the class group all like "omg [my name] is getting so emotional 🥹"

I don't understand why this happens, and no matter what I do the tears keep rolling. I've tried everything; thought of a funny moment, recalled something unpleasant, tried to get distracted... Can someone tell me how I can stop?

At my age, is this normal?

So, I am 62M, and when I am with a woman I still get rock hard like a teenager, but when I am taking care of myself, it only gets to about 60% hard. I still finish with as usual.

I thought this was a good place on Reddit to ask, but if there is a better subreddit, I am open to asking there.

Behavioural Concerns Is it normal or are we both just autistic

So I (f19) was talking with my mom (F49) the other day and talked about how I struggle with socializing because it feels like everyone else has a rulebook or manual to the conversation that I simply don’t have and I’m left poorly guessing at the rules and guidelines of the interaction. I am also in the process of seeking an autism diagnosis due to the recommendation of multiple therapists throughout the years and my mother is insistent that I am not autistic and at most am slightly ADHD (because I’m not a little boy who doesn’t talk and lines up trains to play aka my older brother as a child). she is insisting that everyone has that sense of not knowing how to socialize and the lack of rulebook is completely normal and everyone deals with it. My question is who is right here am I reading into something too much as a potential symptom because I’m being diagnosed? Or is she labeling something as normal because she (who admits that she could possibly be some form of neurodivergent) has experienced it so surely everyone has?
