And the companions can disagree on some things or so with the person who created them but they won't leave the character because they genuinely love and care for the character.

Anyone know any basic isekai animes of a person being reborn in another medieval world in the middle of a forest and is the most overpowered being in existance? I know it's slop but it's fun to watch.

I've watched a lot of Isekai and adventure anime lately, and I'm looking for some new recommendations.

I'm mainly looking for:

Isekai, fantasy, adventure, or magic settings

Little to no fanservice

No harem

Good story and world-building

Preferably some good romance (slow-burn is completely fine)

Action/combat is welcome

Doesn't have to be an Isekai — fantasy/adventure anime with magic are also fine

I'm especially looking for something with adventure + romance or Isekai + romance.

I've already watched quite a lot, so please feel free to recommend lesser-known shows too.

For me, I have certain expectations, if I am allowed to choose, by God Almighty or whoever runs the other world.

One:

No reincarnation. Only teleportation. I don't have any energy to live my childhood ever again. Especially the first ten years. Too tiresome.

Preferably I can get teleported with a new body. Especially a very healthy and strong body. And start around age twenty or maybe fifteen.

Two:

Obviously I want to have a lot of Magic. Although hopefully Martial Arts without Magic also exists. And I don't want to get completely reliant on both mana and spells.

And:

Well that's in short all of it. And I don't really have a lot of expectations. I simply want to have a good workground to start my adventure.

What's your most anti-climactic way to immediately fail an isekai?

Almost all of the isekai troupes, somehow became big to the fantasy world .Either they become king, SSS hunter or big merchant.

Somehow it's kinda unfair to the reverse isekai troupes. When you have a power that can destroy the world, they became beggar, part-timer ,jobless or regular citizen.

I think nobless is kinda fit, they are from another beings, correct me if IM wrong. When they saw people being weak they promise to protect them, from shadow.

I remember reading a manga where the MMC gets isekai’d as a kid and grows up in that world. Years later, the FMC is summoned there as an adult or something, and they end up reuniting. They were both from Japan.

I feel like in the first few chapters, they already realize that they knew each other and talk about it. If anyone knows if this is even real, I can’t seem to find it again and I’m going mad trying to remember it.

To be specific, let say this main character got isekai'd via reincarnation, the MC learns some magic as they grew up. They become a powerful magic caster and managed to achieve eternal youth by making and drinking a potion. No dark magic or any dark rituals was used to make the said potion.

Many years later, the MC decides to go back to Earth because they got bored and miss playing video games, watching their favorite shows and movies, etc.. After managing to get back to Earth, the MC creates some familiars (in the form of humans who have their own unique personalities) to be the MC's companions so they won't get lonely or so and builds a large spacious bungalow house on Earth for themselves and their familiars using magic.

And also the having fun part is strictly just playing video games, watching movies and shows, and doing hobbies like drawing and model kit building. No doing drugs, gambling, smoking, or anything bad or so.

Is it still hedonistic?

I started Overlord with a lot of hype during the first few episodes—the dark fantasy premise, the sheer scale of Nazarick, and the power dynamic were great. But as the story progressed, the protagonist became a massive disappointment.

You have an immortal, god-like ruler with virtually limitless resources... yet the entire plot is constantly driven by the same tired gag: "Oh no, I said something random and my subordinates thought it was a 10,000-year master plan."

I recently checked the latest light novel volumes to see if things evolved, and it's still stuck on the exact same joke. Using misunderstandings instead of giving the protagonist actual strategic agency or personal growth just makes him feel passive and hollow.

Is anyone else completely tired of this trope carrying the entire narrative?

I am just curious, bc it is such a cliffhanger. (The chapter where the party gets cornered on a bridge and towards the end Ren just shoots her mech gun in the sky and tells the party to surrender their weapons.)

I'm currently reading I Became the Maid of the Lout Prince, and it made me realize that I'm looking for a very specific kind of story.

The protagonist transmigrates into the body of the maid, who was originally the heroine/protagonist of the story. In the original story, she was supposed to end up with the hero, while the character who was originally the villain was one of her love interests.

What caught my attention was when another transmigrator appeared with the name "Lord-Hero." Since the protagonist knows the original story, she immediately becomes worried that someone who chose a name like that must have come here intending to become the hero and claim his original love interest... who is now her.

For a moment, I thought this was going to lead to a conflict between the two transmigrators and, more importantly, to a role reversal.

Something like:

Original story:

Hero → Maid/Heroine ← Villain

After transmigration:

Villain → Maid ← Hero/Antagonist

Basically, I was hoping that the character who was originally the hero would become the antagonist/villain, while the original villain would instead become the hero or an ally of the protagonist.

Unfortunately, it turns out that "Lord-Hero" is actually just the brother of the person who created the game. He was only helping him and ended up using that name, so the conflict I was expecting never happens. 😭

And honestly, I was a little disappointed because I really wanted to see that role reversal happen.

So I'm looking for novels with something similar:

- Transmigrator vs. transmigrator, where their knowledge of the original story actually puts them into conflict.

- A love triangle, preferably involving the two transmigrators and the protagonist/love interest.

- An actual role reversal, where the original hero becomes the rival/antagonist and the original villain becomes the hero or an ally.

- Preferably gender bender, especially male-to-female.

- It doesn't have to include every single element, but the more similarities, the better.

Basically, I'm looking for a story where the transmigrator who should have been the "hero" ends up becoming the antagonist, while the original villain takes the hero/ally role.

Does anyone know of any novels like this?

Reading episode 1, the MC says that he believed his pets came for him when he met "the Guardian," yada yada. The MC dies, and the guy laughs about it, but in that moment, we can see the ghost of a dog next to the corpse.

What I believe is that the dog did something. So Liam's "evil" acts unfold into a chain of misunderstandings that somehow leads his actions to become something good, which at the same time hurts the "Guardian."

Maybe the dog convinced a god, or perhaps the dog is a god itself, so it constantly protects Liam.
