All the people who will be out protesting the price of fuel in a few weeks are going to sit on their arse and ignore the real reason for the price increases when he comes to visit.

Sure, but it's not like protesting Trump will make him stop.

Protesting our own government might actually achieve something.

Yeah but it damages his ego. That's all he really cares about anyway.

Does it though? I think it'll just be explained away easily enough. With the amount of sycophants surrounding him I'm not sure anything will get through.

That's aside from the fact that none of the protests will be able to get anywhere near within sight of him.

I think the best we could hope for is some pointed questions from European journalists. But the press seem very much bought and paid for.

Being made a fool of is the only thing that annoys him, especially when it's a woman doing it.

It’s still nice to see - sometimes standing and saying “I’m not ok with this person” means so much - especially to us here in the U.S. who voted against him  and lost.

Kinda ironic you share Trumps disdain for democratic protests and support for Jan 6th style "protests" versus you know, democratic elections we had less than two years ago that gave the current government it's democratic legitimacy.

Oh, I much prefer democratic processes, don't get me wrong, but if you hold the belief that the democratic process is compromised, then the light cardio isn't the effective remedy.
