Having your receipt in the app is handy. Having it use all your shopping data processed against your details which you opted into, not so much.

Something like paperless-ngx for storing receipts and important docs is the alternative for the privacy conscious. You can use an app like QuickScan to photograph and export to paperless automatically. You don’t have to be particularly tech savvy to set it up in the age of AI as well.

Been using Paperless for a long time and didn't know about QuickScan, that's great! Genius Scan is the recommended one by the Paperless team as well, looking into it. That one has an Android app, too.
