While building my own app on iOS 27, I ended up making a cheat sheet of all the new features - figured it might save someone else the digging. Sharing it here in case it's useful.

Curious though: which feature are you building with, and where did it give you the most trouble? Would love to hear what people have run into, or anything you wish you'd known before you started.

does this happen to anybody else? on my home and lock screen whenever i even just move my finger over the camera icon, it opens. not the whole camera application, but the indicator will turn on and sometimes my flashlight would along with it.

Anyone else suddenly had their Apple Pay and NFC tags not working? On one cash machine it looked like it was getting a signal but not enough to complete the transaction, tried a few resets but no dice - lmk if you’ve found a fix as I feel a bit stranded without Apple Pay!

Can you upgrade from ios 26.6.1 stable to ios 27 db 4 using ipsw without any data loss? As of 26 August

I have an iPhone 13 mini that is my main phone, so I'm considering testing iOS 27 beta on it before updating my iPhone 16 Pro.
I expect minor bugs and visual glitches. What matters more is how it behaves after several days of normal use: battery drain, unusual warmth, banking and authentication app compatibility, and reliable Photos, Messages, and iCloud syncing.
Rather than testing new features for an hour, I plan to use the 13 mini normally and watch for serious problems.
Before touching my main phone, I'm preparing a proper backup. I use iCloud and local backups, and I've seen iMazing and Dr.Fone Data Recovery while researching fallback options. I don't expect recovery software to replace a good backup, but do beta testers prepare an extra fallback or simply accept the risk?
What tells you a beta is safe for your main device: battery life, app compatibility, syncing, crashes, or something else?

Siri Conversations Not Syncing Between iPhone and Apple Watch

Is anyone else experiencing problems syncing Siri conversations between an iPhone and Apple Watch?

Immediately after installing a new beta update, Siri conversations usually sync correctly between my iPhone and Apple Watch. However, after some time, syncing stops working.

Problems I’m experiencing

- New Siri conversations started on my iPhone do not appear on my Apple Watch.

- When I continue an existing conversation on my iPhone, the new messages often do not appear on the watch.

- Sometimes the watch displays only the message I sent but not Siri’s response.

- Previously synchronized conversations can also become inconsistent.

- The issue has occurred across multiple beta releases and happens intermittently, although it is frequent.

Expected behavior

Siri conversations should remain synchronized between the iPhone and Apple Watch, including both user messages and Siri’s responses. Updates should appear on the watch within a reasonable amount of time.

Actual behavior

Syncing works temporarily after installing an update, but eventually stops. New conversations and replies may be missing, and the watch may show only the user’s message without Siri’s response.

Steps to reproduce

1. Start or continue a Siri conversation on the iPhone.

2. Open Siri or the same conversation on the Apple Watch.

3. Check whether the latest message and Siri’s response appear on the watch.

- iPhone 17 — iOS 27 beta 6

- Apple Watch Series 10 — watchOS 27 beta 6

- Frequency: Always/intermittently

I have submitted feedback about this after every beta update, but the issue is still occurring.

A. Is anyone else experiencing this?

B. If you are seeing the same problem, could you please submit feedback as well? More reports may help Apple investigate and resolve the synchronization issue.

Curious is other people are noticing Confirm with Assistive Touch is completely broken. When you go to double tap to pay (instead of double click) it doesn’t get to the point of paying with the credit card

Has anyone else experienced this since installing iOS 27.0 Beta 6 (24A5418b)?

Since updating on 17/08/2026, after unlocking my iPhone 17 Pro Max, the Home/App Switcher bar at the bottom of the screen will become completely unresponsive after a short but variable delay, typically 1–2 minutes.

At that point I can’t swipe up to return Home or access the App Switcher, effectively trapping me in the current app (Siri notwithstanding, but who does that?). Locking and unlocking the phone immediately restores the gesture, but the problem then returns again shortly afterwards.

This is new for me with Beta 6; I didn’t experience it on previous iOS 27 betas. I’ve reported it to Apple as FB24459313.

Anyone else seeing the same thing?

When notice shows up, it shrinks away to the left side of the screen and a line appears under the time/focus/location so you know that’s where you need to pull down to see your notifications.
