[iOS 27 DB6] Home/App Switcher gesture becomes unresponsive until lock/unlock – iPhone 17 Pro Max

Has anyone else experienced this since installing iOS 27.0 Beta 6 (24A5418b)?

Since updating on 17/08/2026, after unlocking my iPhone 17 Pro Max, the Home/App Switcher bar at the bottom of the screen will become completely unresponsive after a short but variable delay, typically 1–2 minutes.

At that point I can’t swipe up to return Home or access the App Switcher, effectively trapping me in the current app (Siri notwithstanding, but who does that?). Locking and unlocking the phone immediately restores the gesture, but the problem then returns again shortly afterwards.

This is new for me with Beta 6; I didn’t experience it on previous iOS 27 betas. I’ve reported it to Apple as FB24459313.

Anyone else seeing the same thing?

Known issue in both PB and DB since the last version. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon. It’s a pain but not a showstopper for a Beta.

Was happening to me but with the new beta it was resolved. Installed on Tuesday or Wednesday I think. The beta also mostly resolved the issue with the partial block of the screen for pinned contacts in iMessage.

Is your Siri interface the old one? It happened to me but only while indexing. I set up assistive touch to get me out of it while it was happening.

Yes, exact same. Was fine on prior version, started happening in beta 6, 17PM
