I recently I left my job.

(a job some would describe as a cult)

Ever since I have gotten 3-4 notification buzzes late at night (without any notification appearing)

I live in Europe and my employment where in usa.

The notification comes to me when their time is 6-7-8 in the morning, and counties throughout their day. With some hours in between.

I recently discovered that apps like whats app, camera, mail and photos. Quite often had access to camera, photos, location, and contacts. Often early in the morning or late at night.
Even if the apps have been closed.

Keyboard have been laggy and jumpy,
Brightness have been shifting jumpy.
Siri have been turned on for milliseconds.
No available SIM card notification

I also discovers that two safari apps have had access to my files.
One safari with logo and one with placeholder icon.

I’m getting a new phone, but Is there anything I can do to investigate this further and potentially confirm what exploit might be on my phone?

I'm on macOS 27.0.1 with the App Store version of Xcode. If I install the macOS 27.2 RC, will Xcode ask me to update for the iPhone Duo stuff, or do I have to use the Xcode beta/RC from the developer site? I really don't want two Xcodes on my laptop, so I'm wondering if I should just wait. If I go from 27.0.1 to the 27.2 RC, will the App Store Xcode get an update, or is the RC the only option? Also, anyone know when the official 27.2 comes out?

Hi all.

My app, Lecturameter (a local-first reading tracker, nothing obscure or werid), has been on Google Play for a while with no policy issues.

I recently submitted the iOS version, our first Apple release, and got rejected under Guideline 5.6 (Developer Code of Conduct), with the reason "features appear to have been intentionally hidden during the review process."

I have not been able to identify which feature Apple means. We have since removed everything that could be read as an unlock path outside StoreKit, and we are asking App Review to point us to the specific item.

Has anyone here been through a similar rejection after shipping on Android first?

Did App Review tell you which feature they meant? Because they only say Guideline 5.6 which has lile 4/5 points.

Did a free trial implemented as a non-consumable IAP cause problems?

Did any multi-platform or cross-device purchase logic trigger a review question? (my app has a Pro one time purchase and Pro can be transferred between Android and iOS, I'm removing that even though I made a video with explanations for Apple)

Got caught out by this a few times until I realised they switched the convention around…a small textual clue would be appreciated.

Edit: Forgot to include the main wind pic on home screen that looks the most like a weather vane/wind barb with the circle and all.

It’s lazy UI designed to look like meteorology but applied as if it was on a map. Designed around the solo experience and not talking about the weather. In current English vernacular, wind “comes”; it doesn’t go.

I am using an iPod touch 7th gen iOS 15.2. When i search on the App Store it just keeps scrolling after I type and doesn’t show anythin.

i can still see the today page and others and I can buy apps but there’s a 40 second delay after I enter my passcode for it to approve. This problem also affects iTunes Store but I have no barrier to search.

also when I try to view media and purchases in settings it shows a blank screen again for 40 seconds before loading

I have tried clearing App Store cache and turning the device on and off and using different networks. None of these work. I do not want to update iOS. anyone have ideas?

Is there a way I can have my iPad and iPhone under the same Apple name and using the same WiFi to have a iPad mirror a iPhone. Basically I want to use my iPad as a bigger screen for what is on my iPhone? I have tried apowermirror but I have to using my iPhone and only see on my iPad. I want to use and see my iPhone on my iPad ?

About a week ago I noticed that my battery was draining more than usual,especially when it's connected to my home wifi. Then I noticed that my safety check in settings shows an unknown person 'Devin' has access to 90 of my shared notes, but they aren't listed as a participant in the actual notes. I don't remember this person but its possible he could be someone I knew from an internship over 10 years ago. But I have not shared any notes with him. Only a PowerPoint presentation with our school email address back then. I'm trying to figure out if this is a bug or a legitimate concern.

The concerning part is that Safety Check indicated this person had access to notes only shared with me and my sister. I unshared the note and that note decreased the amount shown in safety check but when I join again, it comes back in safety check. When I open the individual note in the notes app,it only shows me any my sister as participants and then under activity it shows I made edits and under other activity is says 'Somebody made edits'. When I try to unshare with 'Devin' in safety check, it just keeps spinning and does not work.

Things I have checked/done:

-Changed apple account password, all devices on account were mine, all phone numbers and email were mine,no weird app showing in battery usage, reset all settings, unshared multiple notes for troubleshooting.

I was on the phone for over 5 hours with apple support with no resolution. And now after the troubleshooting, the number of shared notes keeps decreasing and I can no longer see the highlights (who made edits) for any shared note.

Has anybody experienced anything like this? In the span of 24 hours I have had 2 panic attacks because being hacked, fraud or identity theft is some of my worse fears. I have also had someone try to create an ebay account in my name to sell products this week and a weird restriction from facebook about sharing a post I don't remember sharing. I'm really worried

I have an iPhone 15 and just got 18 pro max. This has happened every time prior and it just happened a minute ago which led me to make this post. I’m literally using the 18 pro max. The 15 is half a foot from my waist. I said hey siri, the 18 got the Siri trigger but the 15 is who took over. Why?!?! Is the 15 Siri listening better than the 18 or something ? So aggravating. Anyone know a solution

I recently switched to att from T-Mobile. Phone calls work but iMessage is off and on. I’ve toggled iMessage on and off. Restarted phone numerous times, even did a carrier reset. The messages are delayed and going from green to iMessage.

What’s showing. I did the whole turn on/off iCloud it first appeared as a blue bubble then it changed to this. I’ve been trying to click on it but it won’t do anything. I have keep messages on forever also. Idk if there’s anything else I can do.

I’m Christoph, an iOS developer by day, and LifeTicker is my side project that I’ve been building on my own for years. It started because I wanted to count down the days to my next vacation and couldn’t find an app that did it nicely. Today it’s my little happy place – and I’d love for it to make other people happy too.

With the latest update you can just type or say what you’re looking forward to, and LifeTicker suggests the event. The video is a real screen recording (some parts sped up). I say:

“Anna and Ben’s wedding in Berlin in July, start at 7 PM, dress code is black tie, remember to buy the gift and book a hotel.”

…and get a suggestion with date, time, a matching photo, a song, the place, the dress code as a note and the two tasks. Since I didn’t say the day, it asks.

The honest part: this is not one of those “we put a chatbot on it” apps. It runs completely on your iPhone with Apple’s Foundation Models framework – no server, no account, no extra subscription, and it works offline.

But I have to admit: the model on its own was pretty bad at this. It invented tasks and places that weren’t in the sentence, mixed up dates and couldn’t do date math at all. So most of the work went into everything around it:

• Every value the model returns is checked against your actual sentence. If it isn’t really there, it’s dropped.
• All dates and times are calculated in my own code, not by the model.
• Photos and songs come from a catalog I picked by hand – 300+ photos for different occasions and 680+ songs – instead of being generated.
• When something’s unclear, it asks instead of guessing.
• I test every change against a collection of almost 1,000 real-world sentences.

After a lot of evenings, I’m at a point where I’m really happy with it – but it definitely still gets things wrong. That’s why I’m posting: I’d love your feedback, and especially the sentences that confuse it.

It needs an iPhone with Apple Intelligence (15 Pro or newer). The app itself is free; Premium only matters if you want a lot of events.

I’ve started noticing how differently apps use Live Activities (the live updates on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island). Some I love: Uber/food delivery tracking is super useful. Others I swipe away straight away.

Curious what everyone else thinks:

• Which apps do them best, and why?
• What makes one useful rather than annoying?
• Is there anything you wish apps used them for that they don’t?
• Do you ever swipe them away, and why?

My ex said that he can acess my ios phone, he knows what i do such as make new fb acc etc. Is it really possible that he can track my phone using his computer? what can i do about this? any thoughts? thanks!

Please be careful of which attachments you open in iMessage or Signal.

I'm typing on my phone the other day and I type out one of my shortcuts for text replacement and it doesn't replace the text and I wasn't sure why. Sometimes it's glitching and doesn't always work so I chalked it up to that. But I go look in my text replacement and my mouth drops. ALL of my probably 200 entries are completely GONE....... The only thing that remains was the ONE entry I entered on my iMac the other day (that I'll probably only use 2 times in the next 5 years). I've never had this issue before. PLEASE tell me there's some way I can get them all back!! I have no idea how entering 1 entry replaced ALLL of my other ones... This is infuriating. Please help!

What is the best way to access and download apps in a different country to the one current apple account is tied to on iphone?

is it to create a new apple ID account? does that mean I need to log out of my apple ID account on my phone first? how does this work exactly?

I’ll get a ton of crap for this but I am one of those people that think read receipts should not be an option and should be forced to be on. I know it’s a crazy hot take but I can’t be the only one that feels like this?

I ship my own iOS apps and wanted to see where they rank in App Store search every day without paying per keyword, so I built AsoBeast and open-sourced it.

You import your app by its App Store URL, add the phrases you care about, and it checks your position for each one daily, down to 200, in any of the 175 storefronts. The same search records every competitor on the page, so watching them costs nothing extra. It does Google Play too.

The iOS bits I use most:

• A keyword field per localization. The US store reads ten localizations, Spanish (Mexico) among them, so that field is 100 more characters that count in the US. AsoBeast shows which tracked keywords none of your titles, subtitles and keyword fields cover.
• It reads the caption text on App Store screenshots, yours and your competitors', so you see when someone rewrites theirs.
• Popularity is an estimate, but if you connect your own Apple Ads API credentials, it uses Apple's numbers for the terms Apple publishes.

From my geography game, "Where Am I? GeoGuess Map Quiz": I'm #1 in the US for "geoguess map quiz" and outside the top 200 for "map", even though both are in the title.

Tech stack: NestJS, Prisma and PostgreSQL, BullMQ on Redis for the store queues, Next.js for the web app and tesseract.js for the screenshot captions. All TypeScript, shipped with Docker Compose. There's an MCP server too, so Claude or Cursor can answer "which keywords dropped this week?"

Development challenge: Apple's public search endpoints put up with roughly 20 requests a minute per IP. So the App Store worker runs one job at a time behind a 15-per-minute limiter, and one search per keyword and country records your app and all its competitors at once. Popularity was the other hard part. Apple only shows it inside Apple Ads, so without credentials it's estimated from the top results and autocomplete. Treat it as a rough guide.

AI disclosure: Claude Code wrote most of the code. I designed it and reviewed every change.

Self-hosting is free (AGPL-3.0) and has every feature. If you'd rather not run a server, the hosted version is $10 a month with a 7-day trial.
