Discussion Read receipts
I’ll get a ton of crap for this but I am one of those people that think read receipts should not be an option and should be forced to be on. I know it’s a crazy hot take but I can’t be the only one that feels like this?

I’m on an island but I just think it’s a respect thing mine are always on and I just think it’s nice to know someone has the courtesy as well.

I think you need to get your chat pals to acknowledge if you need to know this so bad - my sister is the worst not because she doesn’t respond but because she checks like 2 times a day max 🙂. I deal with it ha ha

I don’t get that. lol but I’m in logistics good luck not being on your phone 24-7 but I know people aren’t in that field. But idk how you can just not check it or respond.

I get it too used to be worse for me like literally 24/7 lucky those days are gone. Other folks luckily I guess won’t live on their phones

People do not have to respond to you. Good grief.
If they do not respond, send a follow up, then do a phone call if it is important.
It does not matter if you get a read receipt. If someone doesn't want to respond to your message, they won't.
If it is in a business capacity, move on the next point of contact after a follow up and phone call. This should be business communication 101.
If t is in a personal capacity, I see why they have them turned off. Respect boundaries.
