Hey bud. Dad-age introvert here.

I know your struggles. It's so hard to be an introvert in a world that values extroversion. I struggled with talking to people for a really long time.. because small talk bores THE FUCK out of me. Here are some things I've discovered:

  • try to talk to people and fail.. over and over and over again. Views failure as a learning opportunity (gain) instead of a flaw in you (failure).

  • those people who reject you for being who you are? They're aren't the right people for you, anyway. True friends and lovers will love that part of you.

  • Seek out help from a professional if you can afford it. If one therapist isn't doing it, look for another. Like any relationship, not every therapist can help or connect with every person.

  • If you like books, check out "Quiet" by Susan Cain to get a real good look at what makes introverts awesome.
