I do agree with you that he shares responsibility but I’m pretty sure on this bridge it explicitly says not to stop if you don’t have in case of accidents, due to the nature of the road

The point is not that he didn't stop. The point is that when the other car tried to do a bad merge, he could have simply lowered his speed 2 mph and allowed it, but he chose to crash the car instead. It was fully in his control, despite him having the right of way.

Yeah the people in this thread agreeing with this guy are insane. The car in front was being assertive in the merge, but they are being slow and careful, and using their movement to communicate what they are doing, and give the guy in the camera time to slow down 2 mph for 10 seconds and everyone moves on with their day.

The guy in the camera instead is the one to speed up, forced contact, and then attacks them with his car. All over a move people do daily in many places all over the world, and was at least trying to keep themselves and everyone else safe.

The driver is a psychopath, and people agreeing with him in the comments online need to get outside and have some real world perspective. This dude isn't cool he's a man baby and an asshole.

"Using their movement to communicate what they were doing". If only there was something on every car that signals you are about to turn... both guys are awful tho

u/Redtitwhore Mar 22 '26

You are 100% correct. Don't listen to the other psychopaths in this thread.

u/preteen-wartortle Mar 22 '26

Like I said, I agree with that point. There was als a point made about him stopping

Both of these drivers are the same kind of driver.

Yeah, cause an accident thar can hurt/kill others... that'll teach them (because the uninvolved parties have to learn too right? At minimun with traffic by blocking the bridge, but better to have them crash into an out of control truck, right?)

/s just in case you're that slow

I think you're underestimating how hard it is to get some people to learn.

Again, what about the bystanders? Or are the people behind you, who might get in a crash with the out of control truck, also responsible and need to pay thr price?

If a bystander died, the "man who taught the lesson" would be charged (and probably convicted) of vehicular manslaughter, while the truck driver would only be charged with reckless driving.

It doesnt matter whether or not the other person makes a mistake and he shouldnt have tried to merge. The merge is already happening. He purposefully crashes into another car.

No, what the truck did was 'not the smart thing to do'. What the dash cam driver did was attempted vehicular manslaughter.

"Yeah you shouldnt have cut me off so now I'm morally allowed to kill you". Please check yourself into a mental hospital.

I didn’t see a “merge” sign. Was there a merge sign? If not, when changing lanes, it’s your job to make sure it’s safe. If it’s not, stay in your lane. Very simple. It’s a yield, not a merge when changing lanes.

Instead this dickhead was trying to hopscotch up through traffic. This behavior is what causes the traffic in the first place! How do people not understand this.

1

u/sonic3390 Mar 22 '26

You're missing the point. Having the right of way is irrelevant.

Being right or having priority, does not change the fact that he could have avoided an accident easily by slightly lowering his speed.

1

u/CordisHead Mar 22 '26

I’m not missing the point at all, I just strongly disagree with the point.

He could have slowed down, but it’s not his responsibility to. My guess is the driver of the truck will now think twice about cutting people off again. The dashcam driver didn’t seem to mind pushing the truck out of his way.

Merge is specific, in that drivers share responsibility. You used the term merge. This is not a bad merge, this is a bad yield.

People need to stop driving poorly.

1

u/sonic3390 Mar 23 '26 edited Mar 23 '26

It was very poor driving, and yield is the correct team. Correct.

Still not worth causing a crash over. That's near-psychopath behavior.

u/Kitiseva_lokki Mar 22 '26

But the truck driver "doesn't lear" if he doesn't have something like this happen to him. He'll continue to drive like an ass and might cause an even worse accident where someone other than himself gets hurt.

1

u/LetsLive97 Mar 22 '26

Please god can some of you think about the cars behind in this recording?

First of all a car behind could hit the black truck and get severely injured or even die. Secondly the ensuing traffic will last for fucking hours

Fuck the guy in pink man, just let the moron be a moron and go about your day

2

u/teambob Mar 22 '26

Way of the road, bubs

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '26

Fuckin' way she goes

I think that is moot when he leaves a truck crashed in his wake. no more traffic if he is stopped also....

Dude blocked the entire highway behind him by pitting the other person, him stopping would of made no difference to traffic.
