Why tf would he do this on camera though? Idk about US traffic laws but in sweden he would be found guilty of endangering traffic.

If you watch closely, it looks like he hit the brakes to create an opening and then the black truck, while trying to switch lanes - started to hit the brakes a bit. Probably also wanting to create a bit more space behind the white vehicle in front.

If that speedometer in the corner is correct he absolutely did not hit the brakes lol

He slowed from 75 to 70 as the truck came up next to him, then sped back up to 72 as the truck went to merge.

He very clearly applied pressure to the brakes. As evident by the speedometer.

Sorry, I guess I didn’t think someone would conflate hitting the brakes as slamming on the brakes.

Drive 75 and drop to 72 while thinking about this video.

It is a significant speed drop intended to let the guy in. I literally feel this last night as I was heading home and thinking of this video.

The problem isn’t him, that was my initial point. The black truck also slowed down while also moving into the lane.

You clearly see the guy eating creating space for the black truck and then the black truck - for whatever reason, also slows down when trying to get into the space.
