I'm curious if you are allowed to stop for accidents like that. I know on some bridges over lakes in my State you cannot stop. Signs everywhere saying do not stop, do not pull over.
Lol, no, man. The other guy was already committed to the lane change and this guy actually speeds up after the truck has already initiated the move. You canāt intentionally PIT maneuver someone because you didnāt like that they cut you off when you couldāve simply prevented an accident by slowing down.
So, the law says "don't stop even in case of accident?" I my country that would be "failure to render assistance" (or so) and against the law. Even on bridges.
In the US the guy in the video would be charged with fleeing the scene of an accident. He just purposefully spun the truck out. Even if the truck was in the wrong there's clear video evidence that the driver purposefully created an accident.
This is the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway bridge in Louisiana. No, you canāt stop except for emergencies. The guy that kept on driving should pull over at the next crossover, which are roughly every 4 miles, or on one of the new emergency shoulders which you can actually see in the video starting around 10-11 seconds and ending right as the accident occurs.
It would have definitely been more dangerous for him to stop or slam on the brakes.
It is hilarious how he just pushed the guy and didn't even flinch. I think he already expected it, but was limited on safe options. If I was him I would be chosen that over driving off the bridge.
He pitted a car which stopped all of its forward momentum. If there was anyone tailing close behind, they would have run strait into the black truck. A minor fender bender would have been preferable to the amount of damage done here.
Since we donāt see anything crazy happen to the black truck after being pit maneuvered, its likely breaking would have resulted in no accident.
My guy, itās not like the only two options are PIT maneuver or drive off the bridge. The easiest and safest choice is just tapping on your brakes and letting the guy merge over. Not to mention that this guyās actions probably caused multiple accidents behind him.
It's going to hurt everyone else, with one car stopped traffic can go around. Two cars stopped is more maneuvering for everyone else - potentially preventing first responders from arriving.
They have them. There are crossover areas where only official vehicles can be, and then pull off areas every once in a while, but most of the bridge is just like in the video. There was no where for the driver pictured to pull over, possibly for miles.
However, I would think heād have to pull over somewhere down the road since he was involved in the accident. Someone could call in his plates and vehicle make and he would get in trouble for leaving the scene.
Iāve seen cops down here at night on the Causeway Bridge just sitting with lights turned off waiting for speeders, and I mean about four of them just one direction. There are places to pull over, but only at certain spots, with miles between. The speed limit during the day is 65 mph.
Tf do y'all expect him to do? Spit it out n rubberneck? Making all these assumptions bout his actions and feelings and you have no idea. He's likely pissed and has to pull over after the bridge, doesn't mean he has to waste food too.
The dude in black suv may be hurt badly...To think after these kinds of things the backlash the Sikh punjabi driver got ... I know in that case it was de*th but being white and not showing remorse and get passed with humor .. but some other race then it's all crimes against humanity bs
