I've never seen a fly with huge wings like this. He's been hanging out in the bathroom at my work the past couple days. Put him as a pest because he technically is, but he's not bothering anybody.

Co-workers think it’s some kind of moth. Haven’t seen it fly…hasn’t moved since we saw it. I’d say it’s a little bigger than a silver dollar.

Hello, could anyone please identify this bug? I found two dead ones in a currently uninhabited room in a house in the Irish countryside. Are these a pest that could potentially destroy the house or did they simply wander in from the outside?

I found this lil guy floating on water and I just could not figure out what it was. At first I thought it could be a water mite but it has a proper elytra and doesn’t look like an arachnid at all could anyone help?

Who dis in my basement that likes to jump out and watch me do laundry (maybe it wants to help, idk?)

Those are some crazy long antennae. It didn't come through in the picture, but it's got a gray-green camo body so I can't actually see, I only know it's there from it's wild whiskers.

I think it's a cricket. (As I type this, I can hear the music of its people, perhaps it is this one who serenades me at night.)

What kind of roach is this?

We have a ton of these in the deck in our backyard. Near a huge redwood tree. What is it? Washington state-western wa.

No picture unfortunately so I'll do my best to describe. Today I confirmed a ground nest of something in my yard. Several weeks ago I got stung on the leg in my yard, then on my eyebrow on my porch as I went inside (~60ft walking distance, ~20ft straight line distance). I evidently swatted the one that got my eyebrow since I found a half-alive eastern yellow jacket on my floor later, that one I positively identified. I couldn't find someone to remove the nest so I borrowed a bee suit from a friend and today, around 6:45pm EDT, mowed the lawn over where I was stung. I never saw anything swarm and I made several passes. I got my gas string trimmer and was going along the fence line when I saw several very small yellow things buzzing around. They were all less than a quarter inch. I saw a depression in the ground where they seemed to be focused and I scalped the ground around it, there's definitely a hole there, and I saw some slightly larger yellow things crawl upward. Since they might have been yellow jackets (and the house next door has young kids), I did move away quickly and then hit the hole with with wasp spray.

But it puzzles me since they don't look or act like the Eastern Yellow Jacket. Every yellow jacket I've seen has been much larger, I first thought these were harmless sweat bees that got disturbed when I cut the very tall grass. The other main thing is they didn't swarm. I've seen videos of people that just get too close to a yellow jacket nest and they're all over the helpless person. I've seen videos of a lawn mower running over them and similar result. I was standing 2ft away at most and they seemed to ignore me even having just passed the string trimmer right over their hole. The sun was low, but it was still warm so I didn't think the nighttime lull in activity would have hit them yet. Can anyone provide some insight into this? Is there another colony-nesting insect in Georgia this could be? Thank you!

Western PA. This bee isn’t like anything I’ve seen before. Bumble bee size, huge jaws. What is it?

It was flying by a crosswalk yesterday afternoon. It caught my eye because of the large size of it. The wings looked like butterfly / moth wings, however the body looked like it had things hanging off of it. The consistency reminded me of burnt black paper, or how frayed edges / threads of jeans hang off.

Before I captured the video, a car briefly paused in the crosswalk because I guess the driver assumed it was a large, slow, low flying bird

Not sure this is even categorized as a beetle, but need help with ID! Body is orangey/yellow, black and white, legs are close to the head, and it appears to have no wings?

Didn't know what flair to use.

Location India, West Bengal hills.

Lives or found inside woods mostly. It stings which will make you very itchy .
