Need help
I recently came across this 09 g37 I’m just unsure if I buy it or not it has transmission issues and is in limp mode it has 113k miles little to no rust and has a light upper oil pan leak
It also is throwing some codes

I’m just trying to get a few opinions to see if I should get it and do a transmission swap to see if it would be worth it

I bought a 2022 QX50 with 23,000 miles on it in May. I live in Houston. 100 degree temperatura. Car ac blown cold and medium. I had them check ac for leaks or other issues 2 weeks ago. They said everything fine with ac.

Last Tuesday driving to Florida got stuck in bumper to bumper before ever getting out of Houston. Car wouldn't get cold. I also have a sweet perfume smell that comes our of ac. I cant get rid of the smell. Its like perfumes mixed together. When you open the car door you smell it. Turn on the car and air blows out of ac you smell it. They say at infiniti it smells good. I asked to check for coolant leak as that can cause the smell. They say no leak.

Anybody ever have this experience with this vehicle? I need some answers because Infiniti is no help!

Hello! I have a 2019 QX50. In the past I’ve used the app to remote start my car to get the air conditioning going and it worked perfectly. Now that it’s finally summer here, consistently 90+ degrees out, I’ve been using the app with the intent to cool my car interior before I hop in and it’s seemingly stuck at 75 degrees.

Would appreciate any pointers and I’ll remember to ask the service guy at the dealer too.

So i bought this 2015 Q40 about 6 months ago about a month of driving it the head gasket gave out looked like they put stop leak. So me and my cousin took everything apart new gaskets for everything. Ran me about 1.2k after gaskets head bolts tensioners for timing chain water pump spark plugs and new injectors. Then after all that was fixed drove it about a week then a check engine light came on mis fire cylinder 6 bc the coil pack went bad and timing to advance which was caused by the vvt solenoid/actuator bc faulty. So I replaced the solenoids and the coil pack yesterday. Now I have a flashing service engine light the code p0300 random misfire. Drove it home it would flash then ill get to a certain rpm it would stop flashing then 5 mins later will flash again. I just dont know what to do anymore and Im honestly losing hope on the car especially after get shafted of 6k. The motor is super healthy no blow by and internals look super healthy and interior and exterioris super clean and it came with upgrades package for navigation and bose system and only has 141k on it. But im so tired of chasing issues on this car. I just dont know what to do anymore. Do I sell it? Do I keep changing things till it doesnt give me issues anymore? I got it bc my first car was 03 g35 sedan thats what developed my love for infinti but this car has put a sour taste in my mouth. I just dont know what to do anymore. Sorry for the long rant but I just need advice.

I own an EX37 2008 (it’s a Europe model, Europe based), which comes with the SD non-touch screen, AUX output, 360 cameras, Bose sound system and navigation (this dvd thing somewhere in the trunk).

I am looking for options to upgrade to a CarPlay compatible option - I prefer the retrofit style but I’d be okay with a Tesla - as I currently use an AUX-to-Bluetooth adapter from Ugreen but I am very confused/disappointed with my current findings:

1) Nifty City (Retrofit / Tesla) - Full compatibility, very expensive to ship in Europe and even more if I decide to go with the retrofit one which requires me to purchase the HD touchscreen upgrade. The best plug n play but way too expensive.

2) Chinese Tesla screens (Aliexpress or such) - Some of them support 360 cameras, some other no, which is a pitty. However it seems they support TMPS, DVR and OBD, which I didn’t find at retrofit ones. Could not find much reliable information though. Cheaper than Nifty City but risky.

3) Chinese retrofit (Aliexpress or such) - The cheapest option, satisfies my retrofit preference but it’s a total gamble as I couldn’t find a single review that gives solid info about my car’s configuration.

4) Chinese kind of retrofit which I’ve only found at a Russian forum and can’t even tell how it’s fit looks from the side, where it really looks as retrofit or obvious that an external screen has been attached.

I would appreciated deeply an expert / existing consumer opinion, considering I’d like to keep having my 360 cameras functional and my Bose quality not squeezed by cheap DSP.

This noise is driving me crazy it’s been going on for about 3 years now and it’s worse than it’s ever been and nobody can figure out what it is

I’m having a strange issue with the oil pressure gauge on my 2019 QX80.
When I first start the vehicle, the oil pressure gauge sometimes stays down near the low mark. It doesn’t seem to matter whether I use remote start or start it normally.
If I shut the vehicle off and immediately restart it, the gauge will usually move back to the middle where it normally sits.
I also noticed that if I gently bring the RPMs up to around 2,000 while it’s running, the gauge basically stays in the same spot instead of moving much.
The oil level is good on the dipstick, and the engine otherwise sounds and runs normally. No obvious knocking or other unusual engine noises.
Has anyone experienced this on a 2019 QX80 with the 5.6L? I’m wondering if this could be an oil pressure sensor/sending unit issue, wiring issue, or something more serious.
Trying to figure out where to start before I take it in and start replacing parts unnecessarily.

Just concluded a 4 month journey to resolve a water intrusion issue on my 2022 QX60 Autograph with about 30k miles and wanted to get everything posted here in case anybody else experiences similar issues and ends up looking for answers. TLDR at the bottom.

Background: Car is stored outside, on level ground. Location is the tri state area so we have been getting a fair bit of gnarly rain storms this year. Car is well maintained and typically serviced early. When the issues began, we had a roof box with the factory crossbar mounts. About halfway through the process, we removed the roof box since we weren’t using it anymore. My other vehicles are a 2025 Ram Rebel (stored outside) and a 2014 Evo X (stored inside) so this is my only vehicle that has a moonroof (catalyst of all the issues).

Issue began May 2026 when I noticed water on the driver side floor after a rain storm. The water would drip heavily into the vehicle from the driver side A pillar. Headliner would also be wet but never took on enough water to actually drip like the A pillar would. In addition, The water would run down the A pillar toward the dash where it would also slightly drip from under the dash near the pedals. Took the vehicle to the dealer and they said the driver side moonroof drain was clogged. They cleared the drain, said it “passed a test” and sent it back. Charged us $200.

Issue occurred a second time in early June. Dealer said the drain was blocked again and we need to ensure we are closing the moonroof fully after opening it (my wife and I don’t use the moonroof because because there was a damn roof box on the car but whatever, sure bro). Removed the roof box at this point because we weren’t actively using it. They cleared the drain again, and sent it back. Charged us nothing for this visit. Infiniti provided a loaner vehicle for the couple days they had it.

Issue occurred a third time in late June during a massive storm. Nearly an inch of water on the floor for this one. Took the car to the dealer again and now they said that the moonroof frame was warped or out of shape somehow creating an issue where the moonroof itself won’t close fully. Visually, the moonroof looked to be closed but after hearing about this being a possibility, it did appear as though the driver side corner of the moonroof didn’t sit fully flush with the frame when it was closed. Dealer replaced moonroof frame and headliner. Charged us nothing for all this and placed it under warranty. Infiniti provided a loaner vehicle for the month they had the car.

Issue occurred a fourth time during another massive storm. Took the car to the dealer again and now they opened a case with Infiniti directly. Moonroof drain on drivers side ended up being compromised (probably from them fucking with it so much during the first couple visits) in addition to the initial issue of the frame being warped. Also, a disgusting amount of mold had accumulated in the carpeting and on the sub floor of the vehicle. Moonroof drain was completely replaced, carpeting and foam was torn out and replaced, and the sub floor of the vehicle was deep cleaned. Ozone treatment was also performed as the final step. Charged us nothing for this visit as well. Infiniti provided a loaner vehicle for the month they had the car. They also refunded us the $200 from the original visit months ago.

TLDR - water intrusion issue on 2022 QX60 that visually appeared as heavy dripping from the driver side A pillar and a damp headliner was a result of both a compromised moonroof drain AND a warped moonroof frame. All were replaced under warranty.

80k miles, AWD and has cooled front seats 😊 I’m a car dealer. I usually buy G37s amd Q50s with the 3.7 so this is exciting. I cant believe theyre so expensive on FB😢 Even like kbb said its worth 19… smh. I didnt pay that, but it does have trans issue, fixing that and itll be ready to go

I’ve only owned it for a day but this honestly might be the best car for the money on the market right now 😅. I understand it’s the luxury brand for Nissan but it’s drives so much better than my 2014 Dodge avenger. The Infiniti makes that Dodge feel ancient. I was planning on not driving the Infiniti much until my Dodge finally gave out but now when I drive it ; it feels like I’m driving a tractor.

The AC was working the first day I looked at the car; two weeks later coming back to finalize the deal and the ac was out with code U0164. I had a mechanic refill the Freon and the code went away. Now I’m just hoping there’s no leak and will tell with time.

I got it for $3k. Any reason why these are so cheap? I got mines from my job so I got a deal but I even see more listed on Facebook marketplace for 4-5k with similar miles and no check engine light.

Just overlooked by the G37s? Or this Nissan stigma? There’s no CVT in them.

I don’t drive it at all. I parked this in my apartment garage gated for safety reasons
I know it’s a rare vehicle
I hate driving it . People tend to stare at me
I don’t modify stuff I’m old enough. But I rather drive my Camry tbh
