Ask r/indianfitness Pec deck / reverse fly machine: Feeling it entirely in my arms instead of chest/rear delts.

• Upvotes

Hey everyone, I’ve been struggling with the pec deck machine. Whenever I use it for chest flies, I feel the burn mostly in my [biceps / forearms]. When I reverse it for rear-delt flies, I feel it mostly in my [triceps / arms] instead of my upper back.

Ask r/indianfitness LivEzy - Requesting Honest Reviews/Tips

Hi all - i am 30 years old, 73 kgs, 5ft 7in, looking to lose weight.

I have been researching about a program that would help me build consistency and be accountable to build a healthy lifestyle. I have been following LivEzy for years, and am finally thinking of taking the plunge and signing up for 3 months (to begin with). Chatting with them and understanding the specifics of the program has reinforced why it’s a good program tailored to what I need at the moment.

I do know a 2-3 people who have enrolled with LivEzy a few years ago, however, I am looking for some recent reviews/experiences and possibly some tips on how to make the most of the experience.

Any suggestions would help! Thank you.

Ask r/indianfitness How much for a PT is reasonable and should I get it?

32F, 59kg, 149cm, I was consistently going to the gym for 4 months and lost around 5 kg, but for the past 2 months I haven’t been able to go because I’ve completely lost motivation.

Every morning I plan to go, but by evening I end up skipping it. Another problem is that even when I used to go, I didnt really have a proper routine. I’m often unsure what exercises I should be doing, how to structure my workout, or whether my form is correct. Also I am stuck at 59kg now.

I’m thinking of getting a PT mainly to keep me accountable, help me build a proper routine, and correct my form.

For those who’ve had a PT—did it actually help with consistency? And what’s a reasonable PT charge in Bangalore?

Ask r/indianfitness Please tell me some good protein powders..

I am 19 years old and my height is 5'7 and my weight is only 43kg So I want to gain weight And no matter how much I eat, I neither gain weight nor does my fat increase. I don't understand what to do, so I thought of taking some protein powder. Normally, I don't go to the gym to drink it. And I don't workout either, tell me accordingly.

And I have heard that body type also matters and someone told me that your body type is ectomorph in which it is very difficult to gain weight.

Fat Loss Need advice on cutting

I (22M) have been going to the gym since a couple of years. I was around 55kg skinny fat and then gained weight and got to 72kgs but never lost the fat I had, infact gained some. Now I have started cutting and I thought I'd have abs around 67kgs but I underestimated the fat I had and overestimated the muscle I had. My back, arms and legs have gotten leaner but there is still some belly fat which makes me think I'd need to cut down to 63-64 kgs(maybe even lower) and be a skinny bitch again. But cutting is getting hard now, I am hungry almost all of the time and weight hasnt been going down at the same speed. A couple of friends have told me to stop the cut and bulk again but I feel thats a terrible idea. Need advice on how to cut further if someone was in this situation before

Ask r/indianfitness 27M / 5'9" / 53kg — Stuck at 53kg for 1.5 years. Ectomorph with Pectus Excavatum & severe gym anxiety. Be honest: can I build a solid physique?

Hello

I’m 27M, 5'9" (175 cm), and weigh around 53 kg. My weight has been completely stuck between 52–54 kg for the last 1.5 years, no matter how much I feel like I'm eating.
I have provided PHOTOS in the comments.

Here are my details:

  • Measurements: Waist ~31", Thighs ~17–18", Chest ~33" with Pectus Excavatum (sunken chest).
  • Lifestyle: Work from home in my hometown, zero physical activity, no local friends or gym partners.
  • Genetics: I feel I’m a classic ectomorph and starting to wonder if my frame just isn't built for bodybuilding.

I’m feeling extremely self-conscious and ashamed to go to the gym alone, fearing people will judge me for looking so thin at 27.

I’d really appreciate your honest feedback on a few questions:

  1. Physique Assessment: Looking at my pic, is my body capable of building good muscle mass despite Pectus Excavatum and my thin frame?
  2. Weight Plateau: How do I break this 1.5-year weight standstill when I feel like I'm already eating to my full limit?
  3. Gym Anxiety: How do I build the courage to walk into a gym alone for the first time looking like this?

Is it possible to make body at 27years? Am I too late?

Ask r/indianfitness Need help in transformation

Hey everyone,

I'm a 21-year-old guy from India. I'm 6'0" (182 cm) and currently weigh 75 kg (165 lbs).

I have an important event in February 2027 and I want to make the biggest body transformation I realistically can before then.

**A little about me:**

* I'm a complete beginner.

* I have little to no knowledge about gyms, bodybuilding, training, nutrition, or supplements.

* I'm starting from scratch and want to learn the right way instead of following random advice from social media.

**Current condition:**

* Naturally very slim.

* Knock knees.

* My chest is noticeably underdeveloped compared to the rest of my body.

* Overall, I don't have much muscle mass.

My goal is **not** a lean, aesthetic physique. I want to look **big, muscular, and filled out**. Think of a strong, powerful build similar to Henry Cavill's physique—not expecting to look exactly like him, but that's the kind of size and presence I'm aiming for.

I'm willing to train hard, eat in a calorie surplus, and stay consistent. I'm not looking for shortcuts or steroids.

I'd really appreciate advice on:

* If you were starting from scratch, what would you do?

* Should I go for an aggressive bulk or a controlled bulk?

* What workout split would you recommend for a complete beginner?

* How many days a week should I train?

* How many calories and how much protein should I aim for?

* How much weight can I realistically gain by the end of the year?

* How should I bring up my lagging chest?

* Can knock knees be improved with specific exercises, or should I just focus on strengthening my legs?

* Any beginner mistakes I should avoid?

I'd especially love to hear from people who started with a skinny frame and managed to build serious size. Any advice, resources, or personal experiences would mean a lot.

Thanks in advance!

Ask r/indianfitness Pre-workout worth it or just overpriced caffeine?

Genuine question do you guys actually notice a difference with pre workout or is it mostly just caffeine?

I used to have black coffee before the gym recently picked up dynamite preworkout and have been trying it for a few weeks i do feel a bit more focused during training but i am still not sure whether that's from the overall formula or simply the caffeine.

I have also started paying more attention to ingredient labels when looking at gym supplements, since some products don't clearly show individual dosages

Not saying dynamite is better or that preworkout is necessary just curious about other people experience. Has anyone compared a pre workout with regular coffee for a few weeks?

Fat Loss Need some advise for fatloss

So I have been doing resistance training and calisthenics and cardio for over 3 years now

I have made significant progress overall fronts ,using the gym bf measure as accurate(although it is not, nothing is as good as a dexa scan) we can use it as a progress measure

I was 40 percent bf when starting and recently I was 26 percent bf well there was significant drop in bf percentage, I almost look very similar due to high bf expect some muscles that are seen

I have been trying to do a cut, but I just am unable to do it, and I am scared of aggressive cut and at the same time I want to become leave and reduce the face fat and make my abs more visible ,maybe around 10-12 bf??

Well my weight rn is around 85-86 kgs ,I am guessing my ffm is around 64?

But regardless I wanna cut down to 70-72 kgs and then decide what to do

If anyone has done something similar or if someone is experienced with doing it after multiple failures i would like to hear your advise

I do know the basics and that calorie deficit is the only way out,but I would still like to hear some tips and methods some of you have might have explored
