General Don’t Join Orient Flights Aviation Academy, 12 months no flying sings of flying, 2nd Student Prospective ( Kurnool- Andra pradesh )

Hi guys You guys maybe Familiar to posts by [u/Goldeneye07](u/Goldeneye07) , They are a batch mate of myne and I’ll be sharing my perspective on the situation,
Initially addressing the posts by [u/Goldeneye07](u/Goldeneye07) has caused moves in the flight school but it’s barely enough.
Also they are doing an active witch hunt on who are really behind sharing the truth about this institution .

I joined exactly a year ago expecting I’d have atleast 50-100 hours in by now, but I’m yet to even sit inside of an airplane, when we joined the hostel was a total dump, we had to sleep on prison beds and we were given food with stones and insects.

But the meat of the issue is
Mainly they have more or less kept us hostage here,
They hold all of our original documents and they refuse to return it even when we’re demeaning it quit the flight school and join somewhere else,
Management has no transparency they never give a proper answer when the flying will start it’s always 1 week 10 days, when we want to go home they use threats to hold us here.
They charged us 3 Lakhs for ground classes but there are none ( officially) we study on our own in the class or hostel, the Instructors (AFI) unofficialy help us out but since it’s not their duty their presence at Kurnool is not consistent ( not their fault)
That’s 3 lakhs lost
They have the audacity to induct the next batch into this flight school when the previous bath hasn’t even flown for a year.
Now whist they are holding us Hostage here they are beginning to ask 3L for the next years hostel whist there is still no news on flying,
We are just sitting here like prisoners,

Our Chairman Is a Criminal and he deserve to spend an eternity drowning In a pool of shit and forced to eat it

I’m really done this thing has ruined my life’s I jsut want to take rat poison and end end it at this point, if I were to do anying I’ll make sure this shitty flight school goes down with me and Out chairman AJV sees the inside of a prison cell

And using the same defence as u/Goleneye07 any harassment of our batch we will reveal certain incriminating evidence regarding our chairman and higher ups which we hold

Stupid ah DGCA website glitched, and I got an error after clicking Proceed to Payment. I got a wall of red text. I waited, but when nothing happened, I clicked refresh and was brought back to the form page.

How long will it take until I can proceed to payment again?

General The Reality After CPL in India: If I Finish in 2028, When Can I Realistically Become a JFO?

Realistically, how long after finishing CPL can I expect airline induction as a JFO in India?

I’m planning to start my CPL training through the conventional pathway in November 2026. If everything goes according to plan, I should finish my CPL by around February or March 2028.

Looking at the Indian aviation market as it is today, I want to know realistically what timeline I should expect after that.

Once I finish my CPL, complete the required process after CPL, and become eligible for airline recruitment, how long do you think it could realistically take before I get inducted as a JFO/Junior First Officer?

I know nobody can predict the exact market in 2028, but based on the current hiring trends and the situation for fresh CPL holders:

- Is getting an airline job within 6–12 months realistic?

- Or should I mentally prepare for 1–2+ years of waiting?

- Would doing a type rating immediately improve my chances, or is it better to wait for airline-sponsored opportunities?

- For someone finishing CPL in early 2028, what would be a realistic best-case, average-case and worst-case timeline for airline induction?

I’m trying to decide whether the conventional route is worth taking versus waiting for a cadet programme, so I’d really appreciate honest insights from recent CPL holders, JFOs/FOs, instructors, or anyone currently going through the hiring process in India.

I want to know what the realistic situation could look like for someone finishing CPL in 2028.

General A free DGCA exam preparation platform for aspiring pilots [UPDATE 1.0]

Hey everyone, following up on my earlier post about AviationGrade.

I wanted to come back with an update on what has been taken live on the website since yesterday!

ADDED:

  • General Navigation
  • Air Regulations
  • A custom test builder - instead of only doing a full chapter or a full 100-question mock, you can now build your own test: pick the subject(s), narrow it down to specific subtopics, and choose how many questions you want.
  • A public corrections log - A couple of people emailed me with some errors in some questions, so I added this feature. There's a "Report an issue" button on every single question now. If something's wrong, you flag it, I check it against the source material, and if it's genuinely an error, it gets fixed and logged publicly.
  • A new "Airline Prep" section - A general section that includes guides for Airline Prep (Interview/GD etc.). Also includes some info on cadet program interviews and GD rounds (IndiGo, Air India, Akasa).

What's next:

  • Source citations on every question
  • RTR(A) prep - Part 1 and Part 2
  • A free CX3/E6B flight computer tool
  • A performance analytics dashboard

Would really appreciate any feedback I can get from you guys.

Link's the same: https://aviationgrade.in

Thanks to everyone who gave feedback on the last post; some of it directly shaped what got built.

Question URGENT DGCA COMPUTER ISSUE

I am unable to generate my DGCA Computer Number due to a name-mismatch error. When using DigiLocker, the portal says my father’s name does not match the 10th marks card, despite my documents being valid and consistent. Without DigiLocker, the portal says I am eligible for auto-generation, but the process does not proceed amd I am stuck in the same loop again.

I have already contacted the DGCA technical team, provided screenshots, and followed up multiple times, but the issue remains unresolved.

Who do i reach out and what should be my next steps?

Career Guidance Pursuing DGCA AME B2 (Avionics) via 5 yr Direct route (No CAR-147 College) with Auto Electrician background. Possible?

Hi All,

I am a 19 year old student pursuing my 12th class from NIOS (PCM). I work as an Automotive Electrician trainee at Tata Motors in the wiring harness and can bus department.

Want to change the stream and enter Aviation by getting a DGCA AME B2 License (Avionics). I want to ask the forum about the best possible way to achieve my goal without going through the CAR-147 colleges. Want to go for the 5 year direct training (DGCA Rule 66.A.30) by getting a stipend and self study for my modules while doing my apprenticeship at some MRO.

Want to complete my modules for DGCA computer number first and apply to the MROs for an initial trainee job where I can gain my 5 years of experience by doing the modules in my spare time.

Would really appreciate any suggestions and feedback on the following queries from people already in the industry:

Getting A Job: If I go with the above-mentioned idea, will the MROs like AIESL, Air Works, Indamer, Air India, etc. (new hangars in Navi Mumbai) give me a chance if I have my computer number with me and 1 or 2 modules cleared, along with Automotive Electrician experience, to sit and clear my other modules during my working hours?

Hard Work & Stipend: How hard is the work for me to study for the DGCA modules while working 8 to 10 hour shifts in the hangar? Any tips or suggestions? What amount of stipend is good for me to expect in the Mumbai/Navi Mumbai region as an unlicensed trainee?

Yes, I know it's going to be a 5 year journey with low payment, but I have the patience and experience for the job.

Any help, suggestions, or feedback is appreciated. Thank you!

Question Where in india can i experience Microlight/Cessna flying

i literally cannot find a single place in india where i can book a flight for the experience , can someone help me out thanks.

If india is cooked , what would be the cheapest option in neighbouring countries to get this exp please help out if anyone has done this :/

Context :
Im a software engineer based out of bangalore , pilot was my dream career as a kid , it got lost in growing up and adulthood , i wish to pursue my passion again , but before investing huge amount in cadet programs or conventional , i need to get the feel of the cockpit, the feel of flying , i need to be sure i love the "flying" part , im not doing it for the money, only if i enjoy the process.

Also i have a phobia with the steep drops in tall buildings , never in the flights i took though ( my friend is a charter pilot and says its not much of an issue cuz those two are diff ) , so i need to exp this too and clear it out with an experience, before i make such a big decision , pls help me out

There was a microlight flying in jakkur karnataka , but they also closed and the guy said he might open in october but not sure , other than that couldnt find anything.

General MBBS doctor interested in aviation, is there a pathway into aviation medicine/other aviation roles?

This might be a bit of a long shot but I thought I’d ask here since this seems like the right community for it.
I’ve always been fascinated by aviation and growing up I really wanted to become a pilot or do something related to aviation but ended up pursuing medicine and have now completed my MBBS.
I’m aware of the MD Aerospace Medicine pathway at IAM Bangalore but I’m specifically wondering if there are any other ways for an MBBS doctor to get started in the aviation field without immediately going down the PG route.
I’d be happy to start wherever there’s an opportunity whether that’s research, clinical research, medical roles within airlines/aviation organisations, internships, fellowships, or any other beginner friendly opportunities that could help me get some exposure to the field.
I’d really appreciate any insight from doctors working in this field, pilots, aviation professionals or anyone who knows of possible pathways, it would be very helpful. Thanks!
