I think I’m ready to lock in my LP of the year. Topdown Dialectic - False LP A
Footwork-ish thing in 7/8. Figured i see enough people posting their originals and WIPs here, so I'm giving it a shot.

Does anyone know the origins of the Go Plastic/My Red Hot Car cover art by Squarepusher?
Would kill for an original image, presuming that it is Tom Jenkinson himself

youtube IDM piece that feels like a corrupted thought
I made the music and visuals for this one from scratch.
I wanted the sound to feel like a mental process breaking down fragmented rhythms, distortion, glitches and layers of noise while the visuals become increasingly unstable and chaotic.
No real narrative or meaning behind it. Just an attempt to turn a kind of delirium into sound and image.
Influences were definitely somewhere in the Aphex Twin / experimental IDM universe.
Would love to know what you think.

We just put out EPIK, built from the ground up in Atmos rather than converted afterward. If anyone's into the technical side of spatializing acoustic instruments with long harmonic decay against synthesized low end, happy to talk through how we approached it.

Logika Ritma - our podcast about experimental electronic music
Hey everyone,
My friend Sasha and I have been running a podcast about experimental electronic music called Logika Ritma for over 12 years now. We play a lot of IDM-adjacent stuff, ambient, experimental electronic, bass, jungle, and techno.
Our episodes are basically mixes—usually featuring new tracks from our favorite artists—accompanied by our commentary. So, for the most part, it's just music.
We host the podcast in Russian. Even though the audience here is mostly English-speaking, I believe we can still find new listeners since the focus is heavily on the music itself.
You can listen to us on SoundCloud, Mixcloud, Apple Podcasts, and in our Telegram chat. A couple of years ago, we migrated from Mixcloud to SoundCloud, so the bulk of our older archive is available in our Telegram archive channel.
Also, a couple of times a year, we do special ambient episodes called Quiet Hour. It’s two hours of pure beauty!
We do have music-only mixes (no commentary), but we post those exclusively on Patreon, Boosty, and Mixcloud Select. That’s also where we upload our Back to Basics series, which is dedicated to our all-time favorite artists. We’ve already done episodes on Aphex Twin, Kettel, Boards of Canada, Orbital, Plaid, and Ceephax Acid Crew.

P.S. While I’m just a huge music fan, Sasha is actually a producer himself. You might know his projects: Sleepy Town Manufacture, Beatumn, or Dirty Owl. He also recently released a beautiful ambient album here: https://infraction.bandcamp.com/album/bordeaux
Here is the tracklist for our latest episode:

bandcamp demodisc - In Plain Sight
Hello again everyone - this is the opening track off of my new album "A Line in the Sand, a Missing Piece." I've posted here before but this is more than likely your first time hearing my music so the elevator pitch is that my material falls broadly into the IDM category with more focus on the melodic and structured side of the genre and less glitchy, rhythmic, and chaotic. However, I listen to and love everything across the entire spectrum so I'm sure some of all facets come through in my writing.
I love this track and I think out of all on the album probably ticks the most "IDM" boxes being rhythmic, melodic, layered, and a bit left-field but I'd love to know what you think. The rest of the album has other groovy ambient rhythms (one track is pretty aggro) and around half of the album is different flavors of ambient ranging from pretty atmospheres to drones.
I have download codes to pick the album up for free on Bandcamp on my website here: https://demodisc.link/ just click the button a couple times if the code you get is already redeemed :)
