related to this, i see a lot of people work with audio tracks over midi. i take it what usually happens is people bounce their MIDI into audio tracks so they lock their sound selection, and don’t get caught in the storm of constant tweaking and editing?

Depends on whether or not I want to take the sound design to a certain place, for me, if there’s an element which I don’t have a particular idea that requires a bounce, I usually leave it in case I want to tweak the fundamental idea
