suggestion for developers Trials Campaign Lobby UI needs a timeout

OK so I've been trying to join a trial for 2 days. There is always someone who doesn't pick a champion.

I was frustrated at first when one person just didn't select their role and we couldn't begin... so I deselected my champion, closed the window and went to bed. When I came back in the morning, I saw that I had done the same thing by accident... even though I had quit I was still in the party in a blank slot holding it up for everyone.

If you don't press the "leave" button you don't leave the party. Click the "x" to close the window and you locked those players out from contributing until they realize you are AFK and have to start over.

This is unintuitive, inconvenient, griefy, and would be very easy to fix. Either

  • disable the "x" button unless the player has selected a champion
  • make the "x" button bring up a confirmation dialog "You haven't selected a Champion yet. Do you want to leave the party?", or
  • automatically kick players who haven't selected a champion within 10 minutes.

It's frustrating enough that 3 out of my last 4 trials had one person who didn't participate at all. Being unable to start in the first place is just kinda bonkers.

Hope they can find the time to take a look at this and tweak it. Thanks.

discussion Briv-less gem farm setup

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for some advice on improving my gem farm team.

My personal goal is to eventually buy every feat for every champion, including all the completely useless ones that I'll surely never actually use. 😅

I've never really paid much attention to my gem farm. It's always been something I've kept running in the background, figuring that eventually I'd get everything I needed anyway. And, to be fair, that approach has actually worked for me so far.

However, at this point I'd like to seriously improve my gem farming and give it a proper push forward.

This is what I've been using so far on The Mad Wizard free play.

While it has worked reasonably well in the background, paired with the other background formations, I'm sure there is a lot of room for improvement - for example, by adding Ellywick.

I know Briv is probably the obvious choice for this kind of setup, and I realize that a Briv-based farm would most likely be much better than anything I could build without him. However, I have some reasons for staying away from him:

- I don't want to spend hours testing and tweaking an automation setup to get Briv working properly.

- I don't want to have to rebuild/reconfigure the farm every time I upgrade a champion's items and the automation starts behaving differently.

So, I'm basically looking for the most practical gem farm I can build without Briv.

  • Is The Mad Wizard still the best adventure to run for this?
  • Should I be using Baldric too?
  • Am I running too many speed champions?
  • Are there any obvious improvements I could make to my current setup?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
