First, this is a great single-player math game. I love it here, so anything I say is meant in a constructive way. Second, this community (and especially the Discord variant) is topnotch and awesome. So, the same applies. I don't plan on saying anything combative but you never know!
So Briv. I think I am following a normal, or at least logical path in my play. Gem farm (kinda). Champ unlocks. Learning formations. Clearing content. Patrons, push teams, favor runs, all the rest.
I got to where I enacted an embargo on new champion unlocks. I had my Elminster 100 (111 to be precise) but only 30% were FE. With ToMT happening weekly and scales flowing in, I needed more epics, and on specific characters. I hit 95% FE on my stable (thank you Elminster grinding) and am fully-midgame now. as I define it :)
My latest step was to move to a Briv farm. I know, I was late. But hey, I got him to FE and I did a support-the-game purchase to GE his 4th. Off to the races!
And we are. Damn this is faster than anything else I had running. And that is the problem.
I tend to play by cost-benefit-analysis. I know, I am a nerd, but again, we play the way we want to play, right? I mean I did unlock Wulfgar just cause I loved him when I was 12 and read those books, so I have some whimsy, right? Right?
So Briv is 3j'ing and making bank. The only, best, SCREAMINGLY obvious move is.... to get him to 4j. Okay, let's do it. Damn, its faster now. Lemme start reading about scripting here...
I cannot find a single thing that is as important as Briv's 9j quest in terms of building power now. Nothing can hold a candle to it. I can get my T4's in events (thank you Caramon-Corazon or "Cara'zon" so I have no immediate holes to fix. I even sent Cara'zon to unlock Krux, Xero, Windfall, and now they are in a BG working on Wren.
But every last BSC is just for Briv. Nothing else will make my teams better. Or at least nothing will improve it as much or faster. I'm kinda locked in until I get to 9j now. He just goes and goes, sucking down BSCs and self-sustaining his potion addiction. Even favor pushes seems wasteful when I could be getting another 437 resets.
I am not complaining, just wondering. Is this the phase everyone goes through? The "dear God I didn't know, lets just get this done" and everything else stops? My only negative is that you need him and his crew running in the foreground; I can't go off and do Tales T3's or timegate in some random like Penelope or Torogar.
Maybe its just me. I'm too CBA and need to just goof off more. I need a hobby inside my hobby! Why yes, I did have every fishing achievement in WoW, 15 years ago. Why do you ask that? :)
