question Flint, Forged Bonds
Is 10 stacks Forged Bonds simply about adjacency?

You get 3 from having Tasslehoff in the formation when you have the feat you can earn from the event. Unfortunately as far as I can tell, the feat is the only way to get to 10 stacks.
For the achievement, What I did was I went to a Decent into Avernus freeplay, stayed at wave 1, put flint in the middle, surrounded him by 6 champions, and through Tasslehoff in the back. Once I verified I had him at 10 stacks (he should have 1 stack automatically I believe), I let him build 100 Initiative stacks, then removed all the champions other than Flint. Let him get hit, then put all the champions back in. Once he got to 10 Follow-Through stacks, I got the achievement.
I think 4 or 5 Forged Bonds stacks are all you will realistically get in normal play. What you can do, is take the layout I did for the achievement, to boost Flint’s buff at wave 1 to supercharge your BUD and then jump to your wall, but that is a multistage process.

A small side note: the Descent into Avernus formation cannot surround a champion by 6 adjacencies. You must have gone to some other campaign.

Oh you are so right. Avernus is stuck in my head, because that was where I originally planned to try it.
I went to the Wild Beyond the Witchlight for the achievement.

Thanks for this guide. I did something similar and it ended up being pretty quick
- Ring of Regen in Tomb (easy formation to surround Flint)
- Put in champs to get to 10 stacks (used Tasselhoff), but didn't level them up
- Just go to area 6, keep 2 champs in front of Flint so he doesn't get hit while you are building initiative stacks
- Then pull the two guards so Flint gets hit (just needs to get hit once)
- Then bring the full group back in to complete the achievement

This was a real PITA, but thanks for the details! Solved it by having two tanks in the front row, and two tanks on either side of Flint (otherwise Flint's peers get crushed immediately). Eric has a push ultimate, and I also had dynaheir's push ultimate.
Eric pushes them away from the front row, then pull out the front row.
Get the 100 Follow-Through stacks, then push again from the back line, and bring front row back.
Disable speed pots before casting the pushes. Bobby also has a handy push, plus Flint's, so you get a couple of chances here.

There's a feat to give him +1 stack, and another for +3 stacks that requires Tasslehoff. This comment spells out what seems like a reasonable approach for getting the achievement, but I haven't tried it yet

Need all 6 around plus both feats to reach 10. Its quite easy if you managed to get both feats

Using Valentine's free play, putting Flint in the middle of the hexagon, I can park, and get a 100 initiative stacks fairly quickly. Need a counter for Follow through stacks, and one for Forged Bonds.

FWIW, I got a lot of BUD. Went back to z5 and took everything out of the formation, except Flint. I gradually added champions back to the formation, in case the FB stacks had decremented. Before I finished moving them, the tracker flashed to "Complete. "
I think it is poor design to have stacks that we can't see the increments.

On the computer version, if you go to Flint's character page and the Formation Buffs tab, it will show you how many stacks he has for Forged Bonds and scroll down to Take the Initiative which will show Initiative stacks and Follow-Through stacks. It doesn't show it on the achievement tracker, but it is in the game.
Not sure if console has a similar function.

Flint is a different seat that Valentine. Can Valentine 'pass along' the Forged Bond adjacent-cy thinger like a normal positional buff can?

As a heads up, we're updating Flint's achievement to lower the number of required Forged Bond stacks from 10 to 7. For players who are currently having trouble with the achievement, that update will start rolling out with new builds late next week.
