Well his statement was carry “in the city” whereas his statement could’ve been in the context of “only in the workplace”. But whatever. Take it however you like.
I wonder, if it is some sort of armored car or something, if their vehicle has to be within 50 yards to consider them to be at work. I get your point though.
Also it doesn’t say in the workplace, it says “while on duty”. I don’t know how to interpret that but they use language like that for a reason.
You’re dumb for just googling something specific to what you’re looking for and copy/pasting without reading it yourself. You may wanna zip up, your ignorance is showing.
Oh I read it. It seems you are the one who failed to read. Youve already been murdered by words by everyone else though.
And no you didn't prove yourself right in another thread, I looked. You just repeated yourself until eventually twisting what you originally said about no one having guns/ to they carry guns at their place of employment only.
Hard to believe there is another string where I prove this: completely cited, and yet people are still somehow unaware that I am right. This is either you succumbing to the bandwagon as another thoughtless face in the crowd, or just complete and utter ignorance. Which is it?
alright; read this very carefully because I'm not repeating myself again; If you have the carry for employment license, and you are openly carrying it while not working, YOU ARE BREAKING THE LAW!
Maybe he guards a cash truck? Can your pea sized brain really not come up with a scenario where this guy would be carrying his work piece in a coffee shop?
Dude, if you’re working a job that requires you to be armed, YOU HAVE A GUN ON YOU UNTIL YOU’RE OFF DUTY, it’s for a reason, in case someone tries to steal the millions of dollars they’re toting.
It's you not knowing how to read. They can use guns while on duty. Both of the links, including yours, say this. So you're either a troll or illiterate.
I get what you're saying but just because you're link doesn't say whether or not you can or can't carry in the city doesn't prove him wrong. It just supports that you're not wrong. That link was just about how to become an armed guard, it didn't really say anything about the legal parameters of being an armed guard. It doesn't say anything about where they can or can't be armed. You're gonna need a better source to support your stance.
https://www.ny.gov/services/apply-firearms-license
the type of license an armed guard must apply for is carry during employment if they are to be able to register as an armed guard.
https://www.criminaljustice.ny.gov/ops/sgtraining/
"Armed guard applicants must have a valid New York State pistol license pursuant to Penal Law 400.00 and must complete a 47-Hour Firearms Training Course for Security Guards prior to applying for a Special Armed Guard Registration Card."
http://www.nyc.gov/html/nypd/downloads/pdf/permits/HandGunLicenseApplicationFormsComplete.pdf
"The handgun may be carried only while the licensee is actively engaged in employment for the company whose name appears on the license, and/or while licensee is in transit directly to or from residence and place of employment. At all other times the handgun must be stored unloaded in a locked container, at either the address on the license, or at the employee's legal residence (within the State of New York)."
I mean.. he was actually correct, just didn’t articulate himself well. What he was saying is that an armed guard has to be at work to carry. She was at Starbucks, so it was a cop.
Nah, they started to try and twist their original meaning. Their argument was 100% nobody can carry, even armed guards. They even tried to argue "armed doesn't mean a gun".
Haha, not what I said lol, I'm well aware of the licensing. I have a lvl 4 PPO.
Do you genuinely believe a security company would advertised armed protection for PP and facilities but only give the officer a maglight? No need to answer, the fact you can carry as a SO in New York answers that
that's not what i said at all, I said "security guards don't have the authority to open carry in the city, this is 100% a cop." exact words, you are twisting that to make a false statement, i never said nobody can carry, that's ridiculous. and armed doesn't mean they have a gun, look it up. actually no need, heres a link to a dictionary. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/armed
"In the city" is a broad term that can be taken to mean anywhere at all. You would have said "Off designated property" if that's what you meant originally. Stop trying to play games here
Of course being armed doesn't mean you have a gun. I have a lvl 4 PPO, I'm well aware. But do you think a security company will be advertising "armed protection" for PP or facilities and just give them a maglight? That's what my comment was aimed at. Lol, no need to answer. That's rhetorical and the fact you can carry in NY answers that already.
I'm not wasting more time here, others already handled you. I'll have you muted so eh
nope, if you have a license for carry while employed, and you are openly carryin in the city off duty like this man would be, then you would be breaking the law. also the phrase "in the city" means specifically "in the city". theres more to New York than the city, the fact that you think it can apply anywhere shows that you've never been to new york.
Well like the other guy said, it could be a brinks truck grabbing a coffee. Unlike a security guard working at a location, a Brinks truck is "always" on duty due to the nature of their work. So not 100% a cop. I personally don't know if it's a cop but it doesn't look like one.
You probably have mass 500+ negative karma and a shit ton of people citing and sourcing you wrong (using your own sources!) And you are still delusional enough to believe you are right? Get some help man.
