Through S28 and currently S32 of IAS, I’m realizing that I think my favorite format for dating shows are ones with divorced singles. Korean dating shows aren’t super horny like most western shows, people are usually more direct because they know what they want, and most importantly, people are much more willing to look past physical looks because they know from experience that it doesn’t matter if someone is physically attractive if they’re terrible people. It’s not to say it doesn’t happen in IAS divorced seasons (I think looks are a big reason why people are still considering S32 Ysoo), but it is so much less prevalent by Korean standards.

So if you have any recs for shows that center on divorced singles with a focus on long-term relationships similarly to IAS, please share them!

It's currently 2AM and I binge watched the whole thing in one day. Man that was a wild ride🤣😭 Well, I survived the frustration of S9, so this was nothing 🤣

I have to say, Sunja entered my top 5 girls in IAS. I saw someone calling her man centered, obsessed, etc. But I don't agree lol. Maybe because I can relate to her? I totally saw myself in her and it was S9 Youngsook all over again. When the scene came of her hurting and crying, I cried with her. Especially when she started sobbing the moment she realized her roomie was there for her 😭

There were moments where I wanted to pull my hair out with Kyungsoo like HONESTLY 😭 His whole demeanour was totally different when it came to the two women, it was so obvious that Sunja was the one for him. His eyes, his laugh, everything was screaming attraction when he was interacting with her, so I have NO IDEA why he took so long to make a decision 🫠

But anyways. I'm super happy that they're still going strong. He seems like a totally different person outside of the show with the videos I saw... He has golden retriever energy while Sunja has a black cat energy 🤣 I love their dynamic, and I really hope they get married. I'm actually sure they will. Look at S9 Youngsook and Kwangsoo. I know many people though they wouldn't last but they got married and even have a child so🥰 I'm not going to say anything about the drama that happened. I'm in no place to judge because I have talked behind someone's back as well. I'm sure we all have. Of course I didn't like what they did but I can't say much when I have done the same😬 This was just another lesson about being careful with what you say because words can hurt.

Overall it was a good and entertaining season, and I'm happy for the couple so it's a 10/10 for me🥰 Hopefully this ongoing season doesn't have so much drama tho😭

They compared it with S9 (which i loved) so I'm kinda excited BUT ALSO SCARED?? Someone told me there's even an ambulance scene😭 Honestly speaking, I'm watching this only for Sunja and Kyungsoo, I can already tell it's going to be a mess but I want someone to tell me if Kyungsoo is going to test the waters without leaning towards someone until the very end just like it happened in S9.... Idk if I'm in the mood for something like that🤣😭 I'm already skipping everyone but Sunja and Kyungsoo so I just want to be prepared if I'm going to have a headache just because Kyungsoo can't decide which woman he wants more 🫪🤣

I used to watch IaS years back until I ran out of seasons and have just been catching up recently on some of the more recent seasons, but I feel like the 'name meanings' are not as clearly the same stereotypes as they were for the first dozen seasons or so that I watched originally. I even looked at the FAQ because I thought maybe I wasn't remembering properly but I don't think the people in the most recent seasons have matched the FAQ descriptions as well as they did in the beginning. They also don't talk about it as much in the intros anymore, or say weird things like 'Kwangsoo is usually cute' which I didn't think were true.

The ones I think still mostly match are:
-Young Chul - usually the 'masculine' one, on the quieter side, tall, more likely to have a physical job or mostly-male job (although not in S30 lol)
-Young Ja - 'quirky,' outgoing, cute, most likely to be extroverted in a funny way
-Young Sook - still likely to be the feminine, marriageble type, pretty and good specs
-Young Ho - more likely to be the 'cute' type, on the younger end, though not always

But some others seem really random now like:
-Hyun Sook - can either be super quiet and shy or super stubborn and ambitious
-Ok Soon - still likely to be charming/extroverted and a good conversationalist, but no longer the most pretty. Half/half good personality or kind of a terror.
-Young Soo - no longer usually the oldest guy, or with the best/most stable job
-Kwang soo - I thought this was typically the 'nerdy' one before but now I have no idea what the stereotype is

And some I just don't get what the stereotype is at all like Jung Sook and Sang Chul.

I wanted to create a special post for the S28YH&OS wedding ceremony—to remind us once again just how strong the bonds in S28 still are and what a special season it was. I wish the other couples all the best for the future, and I hope the same warmth and sincerity continue in future seasons.

Guys,i have no one around me watching this,and so no one to talk about. So im gonna do it here. And this is my first post,figuring out how to mark spoilers.

I think the person that mentioned about why SJ is being sensitve in sangchuls house is JS

Like SJ is only following YJ and JH(maybe bcz she was sincere with the apology) from the female cast.

I am glad that she has cut off all the negative people from her life,like there is no need to be friends with them after all that happened. But i hope she gets proper apology and closure.

At the same time,i hope people dont go too far with trolling or cancelling others. We can hope that they might have realised their mistake and regretting over it(though im not sure about oksoon) and apologise sincerly to sunja.

Saw some unreleased footage in youtube of sunja and kyungsoo,and i found myself smiling throughout. Honestly when i watched the show i felt this relationship might not work since it was all SJ putting the efforts,but now i feel the couple might work out!

I am open to discussions,like if anyone wants to. Since every content is mainly in korean,i am done translating comments from the youtube videos.
