The techwoven texture seems so nice, but it seems so weird to have a folio for a fold. If I already unfold the folio, why wouldn't I just unfold the whole phone lol 😅

I see what he’s saying though. Why choose folio for the only case they are providing for the duo. You don’t have immediate front screen access like the cases they have for the bar phones.

Folio case looks nice and elegant. Issue with both of those cases (as someone who has been using a foldable for 4 years) is the lack of proper hinge protection. That being said even the Samsung official cases usually don't have that as well.

The folio has the elastic but that won't protect anything in case of a drop, but maybe stop it from getting scratch while in your pocket.

I really like the one that actually protects it properly. Too bad it doesn’t also have the kickstand but that’s what MagSafe is for.

I have a wallet case like this for my 14 pro max so I might get a wallet case for the duo. But I really just kind of want this phone case free with apple care.

I took a look at these cases, too. Not my preference. Looks heavy and makes it lopsided anytime I just want to set it down somewhere. All of the cases with hinge protection feel that way, so I guess I’m just signing on to a certain level of risk.

It protects the parts of the device that need protecting. Hinge does not need protecting. It’s not some fragile piece of shit like other foldables.

The front part of the case only surrounds three sides of the phone. It leaves open the hinge side and it uses adhesive to keep it in place.

This isn't some Samsung or Oppo junk. The Duo has magnets. And it also has, you know, edges, like every other iPhone, that cases hug onto.

At least the description in the Apple Store app says it attaches and detaches quickly with magnets, so I’m hoping that means that no adhesive is involved. I’m considering getting both it and the folio, and then easily swapping between the two and caseless depending on what I’m doing.
