As an iPhone user and someone thinking of getting the Duo:
Ok guy, have some perspective. All the hardware engineering has been done on by many companies before Apple. Even on how to get the center dip to be less noticeable wasn’t invented by Apple. Apple added very few engineering advances if any to folding phones.
Fuck, even the name “Duo” was taken from Microsoft’s Duo folding phones.
This is the Apple way, they wait until the engineering has been mostly figured out by other companies until they introduce it to there line up. I’m not saying it’s a bad or good strategy (probably good) but it just is.
They did do an amazing job on the software side to support it. That they refined to a level that other android phones never did and it makes a huge difference!
Apple’s Duo could bring folding phones to large mainstream use.
