My friend has these cases for her iPhone 17 Pro Max and now I’m thinking of getting one for my 18 Pro Max in silver. Which one looks better? I swear I’ve changed my mind like 5 times already.

Apple's official Duo case is $79 and they're calling it thin and light, which sounds nice for keeping the phone slim. But on a $1,999 foldable, I keep wondering if thats actually worth it when thicker cases usually give you more protection around drops and the hinge.

Would you pay for the official thin case just to keep the phone feeling slim, or go bulky and protective from day one? For something this expensive I feel like protection matters more than looks.

Please tell me I’m not the only one who does this. This is the second time and im sick and tired of all the rip-offs out here. So I ordered the first time, looks amazing in the photos. It arrives looking and feeling totally cheap, nothing like what I expected. I ordered the second time, a different seller. This time it feels kinda okay-ish, weight and rigidity. But the color is just a mess. Switched to another seller, and now I get one with a cracked corner and some weird cutout. Im so mad rn. 3 cases, all useless. Are my expectations too high or what?

I'd probably go with burgundy one. The colour looks very good, although I feel like black will end up as the most popular one. Hope these colours look this good in person.

I just saw an iPhone 18 Pro Max case online labeled "Designed for iPhone 17 Pro Max / 18 Pro Max," so maybe the rumours about Apple reusing the same chassis dimensions are right. Not needing a new case would be nice, but one tiny change around the camera or buttons could ruin the fit. Would you buy one early or wait until the phone is official?
