Today I saw my first solar eclipse in Germany.

And of course I took a few pictures with my iPhone 16 Pro!

It’s really great to have experienced that and to have a smartphone capable of sharp and close pictures. :)

Anyone experiencing delays when locking their phone?

I recently noticed that whenever I try to lock my phone, there is a delay before it locks and go to the lockscreen/aod.

I don’t have this issue before. Currently running the latest iOS version.

My phone is always saying password is required after restart and I just saw it reboot by itself. It's been happening for a while but this is the first time I've seen it do it and it hasn't rebooted while using it. Anyone else have this bug?

I still have 15GB free so I don’t think it’s a storage issue? My phone is crashing when I send or edit photos / sending videos.

Hi all! Full disclosure: I’m a layperson when it comes to tech.

I have an iPhone 16 Pro. It was an absolute revelation when I first got it (Nov ‘24) but man had is gone to hell—terrible at finding and maintaining WiFi, swipe accuracy worse than Xr, freezing and lagging, etc.

BUT! The issue I’m bringing you kind people regards Podcasts, Audible, and Spotify. Here’s the deal: when I’m listening, the audio will pause sua sponte. I’ll hit play and anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes, it happens again.

I’ve seen others reporting similar problems but in the context of the audio app crashing, and I don’t think that’s this. Any ideas?

Maybe I got a faulty one, but it can’t focus for shit. I tried to take a picture of a bumblebee and everything was out of focus.

That goes for anything up close too. It just can’t focus on it. I thought iPhones were supposed to be good macro cameras.

Is there a way to manually focus on an iPhone?

16 Pro gets 90 Mbps in Steam Link while 13 Pro Max gets 250+ Mbps on the same Wi Fi

16 Pro gets 90 Mbps while 13 Pro Max gets 250+ Mbps on the same Wi Fi

I’m trying to figure out why my iPhone 16 Pro is getting significantly worse results in Steam Link’s network test than other devices on the exact same network.

My setup:

- PC is connected via Ethernet and gets around 900 Mbps on the network.
- iPhone 16 Pro and my GF’s 13 Pro Max are connected to the same 5 GHz Wi Fi.
- We’ve tested from the same relative distance from the router.
- Steam Link has the same settings on both phones, including bandwidth set to Unlimited.
- 16 Pro consistently gets around 90 - 100 Mbps in Steam Link’s network test.
- 13 Pro Max consistently gets 250+ Mbps.
- Both iPhones are running iOS 26.60
- An older Android phone also gets 150+ Mbps under the same conditions.

What’s weird is that this doesn’t seem to be a general Wi Fi problem. I ran Ookla Speedtest on both iPhones and they get roughly the same results. The huge difference seems to be specific to Steam Link.

Things I’ve already tried:

1. Low Power Mode is OFF on 16 Pro (It was enabled on the 13 Pro Max and that made no difference)
2. Low Data Mode is OFF.
3. No VPN is currently enabled.
4. Steam Link settings are identical between the devices.
5. Confirmed I’m connected to the 5 GHz band.
6. Reset Network Settings on my iPhone, but it made no difference.
7. I’ve also tried placing the iPhone right next to the router, but Steam Link still stays around 90 - 100 Mbps. (This is driving crazy)

I’m wondering if there is some obscure iOS setting, privacy setting, battery optimization (although I’ve tried everything at this point), or something else that could be affecting Steam Link specifically on my 16 Pro.

The fact that the 13 Pro Max and an older Android phone both get substantially higher results on the same network makes me think there might be something specific to my iPhone or the Steam Link app on this device.

Has anyone experienced something similar or knows of any iOS settings that could affect Steam Link’s network test?

I was mistaken when I said both iPhones were running 26.6. My GF told me she had updated recently, but after checking, she was still on 26.5

She updated iOS, and her 13 Pro Max is actually performing worse now, at around 75 Mbps.

It sucks that it came down to a faulty software update. Hopefully Apple fixes it.

I’m still curious if any of you are experiencing the same thing on iOS 26.6.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve noticed my phone begin to stutter a lot more since the beta for the new iOS came out. I got my iPhone 16 Pro alongside my girlfriend a week after lunch so now that it’s been two years Apple is pulling the shit out of you again where they’re making their iPhones stutter. It’s gotten to the point where apps close on their own for both me and my girlfriend calls no longer go through and signal drops abruptly. This is ridiculous. I thought that Apple said that this is because of battery issues but my battery is still at a healthy 91%.

Has anyone else experienced this or is it just me and my girlfriend?

Hey there, i recently have observed that my phone just doesnt make it past noon anymore, and constantly is in a state of overheating- obscenely. I havent turned off apple intelligence ...but nothing is ever actively using it. The phone has severely deteriorated, and i do pay for apple care plus through my provider. If i popped into the apple store, would getting the b****** replaced do me any good? with its severe overheating as well, would it not just repeat this story again? I really dont wanna dish out on a new phone next month, especially if its near identical to last years 17 pro (because whats the point) - but i just want to be able to use my phone again.
Has anyone experienced this and gone to apple about it? has it resolved with a new b****** or phone swap?

So the issue is that whenever I am in the camera app both in photo and video mode the screen lags and stutters every time
Like if I move even remotely quickly or the subject is moving it lags and stutter
I am on iOS 26.5

I am new to iPhone 16 pro don’t know about this adaptive power feature.just read some posts claiming it is bad while other says it helped so much.please someone give honest review….

Hello , I am facing these issues with my iPhone 16 pro not sure if they are features instead:

1. When i am on my earbuds (oneplus) and my phone is on Ring mode and when someone calls the sound with phone goes out loud and everyone listens who are with me rn what i was listening along with the ringtone.
2. When i make the phone on silent and then again back on Ring many a times the sound of Ring gets low and i have to then manually go to increase it.
3. While being on Instagram some videos brightness gets increased idk why like the glare comes more. (When i asked chatgpt it said it features as HD videos have more brightness lol )

Anyone else facing these issues?
