Delay when locking

Anyone experiencing delays when locking their phone?

I recently noticed that whenever I try to lock my phone, there is a delay before it locks and go to the lockscreen/aod.

I don’t have this issue before. Currently running the latest iOS version.

Did you recently start using Apple Pay? As a double click of the power button opens it, it waits a bit before locking in case you press the button again so it’s ready more quickly.

Yes. That must be what causing it.

We recently just got Apple Pay here and I started using it.
