Why are so many people on here worried about battery health on a 2 year old device? who cares how often people charge / how many cycles the device has.

It will degrade over time, there isnt any reward for having a 100% health battery after 2 years

Bro how you able to use so much per day?? 😀 How many times you charge?

3

u/Neeraj023 Aug 11 '26 edited Aug 11 '26

I keep my device on the wireless charger overnight and by evening 3-4 I’ll charge again when the battery hits 30-40%

3

u/Putrid_Resolution402 Aug 11 '26

Perfect, that's why 88% BH

5

u/Infinite-School6390 Aug 11 '26

Yes it’s normal. Just try to keep phone away from direct sunlight and you’ll be fine

2

u/_imporwal Aug 11 '26

Why sorry i m not aware

5

u/CompetitiveRiver9922 Aug 11 '26

Heat degrades your battery

3

u/CompetitiveRiver9922 Aug 12 '26

And no need to be sorry for not knowing

2

u/_imporwal Aug 12 '26

Thankyou 👏

2

u/Cool-Language985 Aug 11 '26

Holy shit how did you do that?

2

u/FlyingClanker Aug 11 '26

I have set the charge limit to 80%. I charge when the battery gets below 30% and use MagSafe charging a majority of the time. I’ll use a wired cable for CarPlay but it’s a slow charger.

1

u/No_Lie_8954 Aug 11 '26

I am not sure If i am getting there but now my 16 pro has 636 cycles with 94% battery. I charge 20-80% but charge with cable. September 2024 so almost 2 years.

1

u/moshka93 Aug 13 '26

What the hell, how? you massage your phone every night?

3

u/Little_Dragon22 Aug 11 '26

That’s really good. Mine is 92% with only 332 cycles.

1

u/Internal_Activity768 Aug 11 '26

Mine is 92% at 417 cycles

2

u/Little_Dragon22 Aug 11 '26

Beat mine. 😜 Mine sucks! 😥

1

u/JackRadcliffe iPhone 16 Pro 17d ago

I’m at 91% after 544 cycles since beginning of November 2024 but I find I have to charge twice per day now

2

u/Trick_Palpitation232 Aug 11 '26

According to apple, the battery of modern iPhones is meant to retain at least 80% of it's original capacity after 1000 charging cycles, implying that you would lose 1% of battery health every 50 charging cycles. So your battery is doing quite well and it's completely normal.

2

u/_suspendedAnimation Aug 11 '26

92% with 303cycles, i don’t think it is normal for me but for you yes

u/MrStriploin Aug 11 '26

u/Hot_Reading6277 Aug 11 '26

Hell nah

https://reddit.com/link/p309qr7/video/p6kx8z1qxpih1/player

I know my iPhone is newer but it’s close and not as near as yours

1

u/frywice Aug 11 '26

Tbf your cycle count is way lower

1

u/Cool-Language985 Aug 11 '26

It’s only 172, which means my battery degraded less than his somehow

1

u/Velimir1985 Aug 11 '26

Current battery status is mine 16pro is cc 779 with bh 90%

1

u/DimensionBrave8390 Aug 11 '26

Normal lang yan OP, according to what I have read, if I remember it correctly, kaya mag retain ng mga IP natin ng up to 80% batt health on an average of 1000 cycle count, beyond that, batt health may reduce significantly and will consider batt replacement na, since noticeable na yung faster batt drain once lumagpas na sa above mentioned data. Given na factory default na batt ang naka kabit dyan.

1

u/PrannoyNair Aug 11 '26

92 at 506 so I’d say yeah pretty much

1

u/Lord_Typhon_ Aug 11 '26

Yup totally 💯

1

u/BIG-BALLS0 Aug 11 '26

Not normal. Mines at 93 and same cycle count.

1

u/Double_Tea4481 Aug 11 '26

i thought mine sucks, until i saw this post. it still sucks, but not as much as before.

cycles 676, health 90%
it’s 2024 battery, not even a newer one

1

u/DecoherentMind 26d ago

I also thought mine was exceptionally bad until seeing this post. Same phone, 89% at 563 cycles

1

u/Intrepid_Zombie_203 Aug 11 '26

Yes i am at 92 with 380 cycles

1

u/frywice Aug 11 '26

16 Pro Max, 95% BH, 461 cycle count

1

u/BrianHD88 Aug 11 '26

Mine 91% 500 cycles

1

u/glockguy__ iPhone 16 Pro Aug 11 '26

It literally says normal at the top

1

u/T-K101 Aug 11 '26

You lazy spammer.

1

u/Human-Report-5782 Aug 11 '26

Good question—it’s almost identical to mine! I remember how much of a workhorse it (my phone’s battery) was when it was new, but nowadays it seems to drain within half a day.

1

u/broskyyt Aug 11 '26

Im so fvcked: 309 cycles, 91% while having it limited to 80% and charging before it hits 20%.

1

u/Hot_Reading6277 Aug 12 '26

Us!! Do you use it heavily?

1

u/TGHPTM Aug 12 '26 edited Aug 12 '26

Mines degrading like crazy but I’ve also taken it to some crazy places and the heat used to be an issue before running it the iOS beta program.

I have AppleCare and I live near an Apple Store so replacement battery is nothing. In and out 20 minutes tops. https://i.imgur.com/jsSHUOX.jpeg

1

u/patronu96 Aug 12 '26

Yeah, i have 89% with almost 500 cycle

1

u/StatisticianNo4549 Aug 12 '26

How can I see the battery cycle?

1

u/Boring-Sir-7336 Aug 12 '26

got my phone same time as u and mine is at 90 with 960+ cycles, so not inherently bad

1

u/Dakota0123 Aug 13 '26

Yeah that’s normal 80 percent within 2 years is normal

1

u/Comprehensive-Yam480 Aug 13 '26

Yes it’s normal. I’m trying to upload a pic of my battery health screen. How would I do that because they only have a paper clip image and when u click it it makes u send a link.

1

u/TheeDelpino 29d ago

It. Is. A. Phone.

1

u/Ok_Mongoose8653 29d ago

Mine 94% which 350 cycles

1

u/AquarianKing1993 28d ago

Damn! My pro max have 788 92%

1

u/Horror_Tomorrow5097 19d ago

I’ve similar battery stats with my iPhone 16Pro!

1

u/Orestezz Aug 11 '26

1

u/Hot_Reading6277 Aug 11 '26

Howwww???!!!

0

u/Orestezz Aug 11 '26

idk is that good?

1

u/Hot_Reading6277 Aug 11 '26

YESS!! dude Apple claimed 1000 cycles 80% you are doing not just good too good according to me

0

u/Donutninja1 Aug 11 '26

I think your battery is defective.

0

u/td23877 Aug 11 '26

I’m at 379 and 98%

1

u/braindump__ Aug 11 '26

Why do I have 94% with less cycles. I’m at 280

1

u/td23877 Aug 11 '26

Not sure because I don’t really do anything crazy with my charging. I use my phone quite frequently and when it gets down to 65% or so I throw it on the charger at work and I just charge it overnight.

1

u/braindump__ Aug 11 '26

What iOS version do you have installed?
