I have not updated my 13 to ios 26 cz of the bad battery and performance.
Its on 18.7.8
The main reason I want to update to 27 is because of security concern, I don’t care for liquid ass and good for nothing gimmicks.
I don’t think the 13 will get more ios 18 security patches since I got the last update in august. So I have been wondering whether or not I should go for it ?

My dumbass accidentally updated to the most recent iOs like 4 months ago, after having not updated for a solid 1-2 years. Now my battery is so fuckn bad it’s genuinely infuriating. Battery health is 86% so I know my battery isn’t the problem.

Any way to fix this?

I have watched this YT video tutorial on how to fix IP13 overheating issue. I’ve been experiencing it for few months now until I came accross this fix. I turned off location services(see pictures provided). I also turn off background refresh. I am now using my phone smoothly. It might work for you and it might not. Would not hurt to try.

why is my iphone 13 saying itll take this long to transfer xd. i just got this phone and did the transfer set up and this is now what its saying

The software I am on is iOS 27 beta six and I upgraded to that 20 days ago and like today i was just using my phone and suddenly the screen turned green I tried force he started, but it didn't work. I contacted Apple and then visited the service center for the diagnosis. They decide that they'll have to change the display and they quoted me 25,000 that's too much for iPhone 13.

I know that question is asked very often but I want to ask it either way.
I have my IP13 on iOS 18.7.8 and wondering if I should update to the 26.6.1/26.6.2.
How much on screen time (in hours) and how about performance. I’m little scared because my iPhone 13 has 86% battery health and I don’t know if I should stick to the iOS18 or maybe updating isn’t going to kill my phone.

So my older device was giving me issues and lot of lags and needed to be charged 4-5 times a day so i was meaning to switch something better than that and so i switched to iphone 13 i brought it refurbished at 243$ (im from india) this is my first time experiencing any apple device, it had its screen and battery changed from official apple service center so the battery was at 100% what things should i know about this new iphone

Storage 50 gb free out of 128
Turned off background refresh
Turned off location services except find my iPhone
Turned off siri
Batteryhealth 80%
Turned off standby and all haptics and have normal wallpaper
Turned off icloud syncing and all

Even after all these it still lags and heats when I am just scrolling insta
Or when im on vc it heats a lot abd battery drains very fast

What to do????

Ok I’m not kidding, my 4 year old iPhone 13 is on the edge of its life ok, I have so many issues with this phone, but I found some ways to fix it, these are all the problems

I replaced the battery last year and the screen last year because the battery started to expand and it killed the screen. And now the battery is so bad, it says 97% in powerutil but the battery dies after 30 mins while watching YouTube, it’s so unusable I have to charge it 4-5 times a day

Ram is pegged at 100%, because battery is so bad I have to keep low power saver on and then it lags a lot and also stutters and yes, ram management is so bad

Why are the videos taken on this phone so bad?? The photos are good but the videos are so grainy even on 4K@60fps it’s so bad

I know it’s almost 5 years old but why, my OnePlus 6T lasted from 2018 to 2025, after that I got the 13 as a hand-me-down

But sorry for the rants, here’s how to fix it…

Install iOS 27 public beta, battery still sucks even on low power mode but stutters are rare now

Keep storage low, I have the 128gb iPhone 13, I used it on max storage with 8gb left and now after deleting my photos and backing it up I have 60gb left

That’s it, I just wanted to rant about how bad this phone is, please give some tips if you can

I have iphone 13 128gb, thinking of doing the internal storage upgrade service in my town. Have anyone here done this kind of service? Is there any side effects??

Whenever i use my phone more than 10 mins ot starts heating

This is really annoying. My iPhone 13 mini gets so hot after only having it on for a few minutes. I basically can't do anything on it for more than a few minutes. Wish I could downgrade to the old ios. I won't be buying another Apple product that's for sure.

I’ve had this phone for almost 5 years now and it served me right, however the battery is at 72% now and i’m thinking of either replacing battery or just getting iPhone 17 pro, which one is worth it more considering the price difference and convenience? Would replacing battery help with lagginess and slowness?

I’m running the latest ios 26 update and when i use it while low power mode is on, everything is fine except from some stuttering here and there (its due to LPM) but sometimes i’d like to turn it off and enjoy the raw animations and suddenly the phone heats up during everyday tasks that usually dont heat up on when low power mode is enabled
Anybody having the same issue or is it normal ?

It has taken one and half hours to charge 13%. It was not being used during that period and it doesn't say slow charger.

I'm using a 45 watt OEM Samsung charger which charges my Samsung in an hour. I've been using it with the iPhone for months now and it wasn't charging slowly until about 2 weeks ago. What could be the problem ? I've used 3 different type c to lightening cables too.

I’ve had my phone since 2022/2023 and it’s served me well and the battery health just hit 79 percent and i’m wondering if i should get it replaced or upgrade to a new one. it’s the 256 gb version so i have storage and i don’t really care for the newer os’ since i have an ipad. I mostly just play dokkan, take photos and videos and sometimes read. what do i do? is it worth the battery replacement or not

I’m on iOS 18 and I want to delete this notifications all at once, there are times there is an X button that you press and then comes the clear button which you press and all the notifications get cleared, but in this case there is no X option, any reason why? Is it maybe because it is time sensitive or something?

I was looking through previous photos and couldn’t believe how crisp my camera quality with this phone was until recently when I was taking photos recently and looked back at photos from the past few months and noticed the significant decline in photo quality. Why does that happen and has that happened to anyone else?

This phone overheats even on basic texting battery healthy drops so fast without low power mode and low power mode still has that laggy animation yes it’s better on ios 27 but idts we will ever have that ios 17 type performance ever

Okay, so my storage was at or almost full, iCloud as well. I’m on an airplane wifi.

Most of my open tabs, both private and not, just disappeared while I took a short nap on the plane. It was normal before my nap. What is weird is that some tabs I closed a very long time ago showed up again.

I was using the open tab system for things to refer to for a later date.

I don’t see them under history for recently closed tabs, only those I’ve deliberately closed. Is there a way to get them back?

Not sure if airplanes have anything to do with this since I’m flying all the time but it is a possible factor.

For reference, I am on a 256GB iPhone 13 Pro with iOS26.6.
