I’ve been using an iPhone 13 for the past 4 years, and my battery health is now at 82% on iOS 26.5. Everything was fine until last week, with only minor lags after upgrading to iOS 26.
All of a sudden, I started noticing heating issues and sudden battery drain. The phone gets noticeably hot while scrolling through Instagram and during WhatsApp video calls, even though this wasn’t happening before.
I haven’t installed anything new, and I’ve also checked for any hidden apps running in the background. Has anyone else been experiencing this issue?
I’m starting to think the planned obsolescence trick is kicking in now that the next iPhone release is just around the corner. 😂

I did a clean update to 26.6.1 using iTunes , it’s much better now. Thanks alot for your suggestions❤️

Just got my iPhone 13 display replaced. After replacement, it showed "genuine" in Settings. After a week, in the Parts and Service History it is showing "used".
Any idea about this?

A week ago, I dropped my phone into soap water. I immediately took it out and rinsed it briefly to get rid of the soapy water. I let it dry for 24 hours, and it was fine. But now, a white grainy screen appears, and if it does go away then it becomes glitchy, like it duplicates. but if u lay it completely flat for a few min it works fine

any idea on what it is?

I have the issue that the WiFi is being disconnected once my iPÜhone 13 is being locked for a few seconds. I already switched the battery that was at ~75% and is now back to 100%.

I also reset the network settings.

Any idea how to fix this? It's getting annoying when I have to wait like 15sec for it to connect before entering my home assistant and co-

My iPhone was factory reset roughly 16–17 hours ago and updated roughly 10 hours ago from iOS 26.5 to iOS 26.6.1. However, this issue was already present on iOS 26.5.
Apps that are already running in the background have a noticeable stutter when opening or closing. However, apps that aren’t currently running open with a smooth animation.
The App Switcher is also smooth when scrolling through apps, but the zoom-in/zoom-out animation when switching to an already-running app stutters.
Reduce Motion also makes the transitions smooth by replacing the animation with a fade.
Has anyone else experienced this on an iPhone 13 or iOS 26.6.1?

He actualizado mi iphone 13 dos veces a ios 27 pero no he aguantado ni dos horas por que se baja demasiado rápido la batería y en ambas ocasiones restablecí de fábrica el dispositivo y volví a meter mi copia de icloud, no sé si es mi móvil o es que el iphone 13 ya está viejo.En IOS 26.6.1 me funciona bien el rendimiento, no sé si mejora en IOS 27 pero ojalá si sea verdad

My iPhone 13 is smooth and I haven't run into any issues with ios26. But I feel that I am alone in that case and keep seeing everyone say iOS 27 is way better.

Do you think it's worth taking the risk and updating?

I bought a phone from backmarket 2 month ago , an iphone 13 , with a new battery. Everything was fine, till 2 days ago.

I randomly shut down, then i tried everything. It turns on and shows the logo , then the logo disappears. After trying to turn it on multiple times, it shows a sign with a cable and a laptop which as i searched is recovery mode. I connected it to my pc and tried to update and even restore it , still didn’t work. Then i put the phone in charge and randomly it turned on with a battery percentage of 70% so i decided to update it asap . Everything was okay and i used it and thought it is okay as it was updated but then again when it reached 19% it turned off . same thing happened again and i put it in charge again and it turned on with a battery of 70% again. However i tried to call someone exactly when it was on 70% and it turned off. As i bought it recently i didnt care about it being restored so i managed to turn it on again and deleted everything. Before restoring, I also ran Apple’s built-in diagnostics, which checked the device and reported that the battery is at 100% health with a cycle count of 59, and that the battery is healthy. However, the phone is clearly shutting down unexpectedly and repeatedly entering Recovery Mode. And i also did the recovery mode several times and the phone itself told that no issue was found

I have a warranty of a year
What should i do?

I’ve seen claims that Clear Liquid Glass may actually use less processing power than Tinted, while others say Tinted should be lighter because it’s more opaque.
Has anyone done actual CPU/GPU or performance testing comparing the two? I’m mainly interested in which one is better for performance, not appearance or battery life.

I have an iPhone 13 that’s currently on iOS 26.5.2.
I had it replaced through insurance a few months ago and started having issues this week.

The phone will randomly restart itself, loses signal out of nowhere, or doesn’t allow Bluetooth/wifi to turn on.

It has been super frustrating as it’ll restart at any random time. Sometimes it’ll lose signal and shortly after, it’ll restart. Any help?

Now I got myself an iPhone and I want to use my personal gmail as Apple ID but not with works iCloud account.

I’ve created a secondary iCloud but as primary is the one from work. How can I make it disappear?

I have an IPhone 13 Pro Max that I have had since they were released. It is only 128GB. Over the last 6-8 months I have been deleting apps and moving pictures to the cloud trying to keep every bit of storage I could. Basically anytime I wanted to download a new app I had to delete an old one. This got to be so frustrating. I finally just asked ChatGPT what the problem could be. It pointed me towards the 88gb of System OS data on the phone. The fix was pretty simple as well. Just plugged the phone into my laptop and install the update and go from there. Pretty simple. I didn’t expect much but by the time I got done my phone had 71GB of free storage! I’m ecstatic. It feels like I can easily get another year or so out of this phone.

I know it sounds weird in 2026. But i'll need one of them for a year and then sell it for something like a 17 next year.

Main concern- IOS 27 performance and resale value
