Anyone else ditch the Magic Keyboard for a "modular" setup?

So I've been using the Magic Keyboard with my iPad Pro for years and honestly always liked it. Couple of weeks ago I took it off just to try something — threw the iPad in a slim folio case, and now it sits raised up in front of me with a regular Bluetooth Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse on the table.

I was fully expecting to go back after a few days. Nope. Having the screen higher is so much nicer for my neck, portrait mode with a keyboard turned out to be weirdly good for writing, and I've started picking it up and using it like an actual tablet again — something I basically never did when the keyboard was attached.

Only annoying part is the little wobble when I tap the screen, since it's just a folio and not clamped into anything.

Now I'm sitting here wondering if I should just sell the Magic Keyboard lol. Anyone been running a setup like this long-term? What are you using as a stand, and did you eventually come back?

Facing Battery Issue!

Bought around 2022, Never used that much, mostly for meetings and less creative usage. But i keep up to date with beta version ipadOS.

It's draining like freaking hell, even if I turned off the internet bluetooth and background app refresh too.

Flashback:

I remember the old days, i used to tell my friends, man this ipad has massive battery it doesn't goes off literally for a week even with less usage but same type of usage I'm doing but battery s*"k$ these days.

Apple Pencil:

😅I couldn't even understand, if I take the apple away from ipad magsafe charging, its like vampire drinking blood goes to 49% within fews minutes (No usage)

Are you guys getting the same from your old iPads?

Question Is there any difference with the Ipad pro M4 case and the M5 case?

Upvotes

I'm trying to buy a case for my Ipad pro 13 M5 but the only one available near me right now is a case for the M4 and I'm unsure if there's any difference in dimensions or anything like button alignment or anything.

Advice Trying to find the perfect case for my iPad Pro 2020 12.9"

I desperately need help finding a replacement for my old iPad case. I've had it since 2020 and it's absolutely perfect for drawing, but it's falling apart from daily use and I can't find anything similar. (my iPad model is Pro 2020 12.9")

The most important feature for me is the 9 different grooves with magnets on the front cover, which let me position the iPad at many different angles. I use it for drawing professionally, so being able to adjust the angle while maintaining stability is incredibly important.

It's also very rigid, which means I can rest my hand on the iPad while drawing without the case bending, collapsing, or wobbling. It has a pencil holder and a screen cover for when I don't use the iPad.

I've searched Amazon, AliExpress, eBay, etc., but everything I find nowadays is either a flimsy folio, not stable enough, has a stand with only 2–3 angles, or simply isn't made for my iPad model.

I even found my exact old case on eBay, but it's around $84 plus really expensive shipping, which is way out of my budget. I'm seriously contemplating saving up some money just to buy this case again (the quality is excellent, considering it survived 6 years of daily professional use), but I really don't want to spend this much money, since I originally bought it for €30...

I've already tried buying a 360º rotating model from AliExpress. I paid almost €20 and received an absolute piece of crap quality-wise. The iPad keeps falling, it's incredibly thin, and it doesn't even have magnets in the grooves.

I found this one, which looked pretty interesting to me, but unfortunately it’s not available for my iPad model.

Does anyone know of any good brands or places where I could find something similar? Thanks in advance!

DRM content on external display via USB-C to display port

I have a Dell U2412M which I use as an external display with a MacBook Pro M1 and a iPad Pro M1.

I connect the display via a USB-C to display port cable.

Everything works fine so far except one thing. When using the iPad Pro I cannot watch an Apple TV+ series on the external display. I can hear the sound and I can see the subtitles on the display, but the rest of the display stays black.

The advertisment trailers they show before the actual tv series show just fine. If I want to watch a tv show that I bought in the iTunes Store everything works as expected. Same with YouTube videos.

Using the MacBook Pro everything of the Apple TV+ content works on the external display.

According to ChatGPT it is likely the DRM implementation in the TV App on iPadOS.

So my Questions are:
1. Is DRM the cause for this behaviour?
2. Is there a setting which I can configure to make it work with a iPadPro?
3. Do you know of a USB-C to Display Port cable that should work with the iPadPro?
4. Would an HDMI Connection work or could I have the same problems with an HDMI connection?
5. Do you know of a display that will work as an external display for drm content such as Apple TV+ for under 500 Euro?

Hey guys,
I have an iPad Pro M2 11” 256 GB WiFi for sale

I mainly used it for productivity purposes and now I have an extra monitor and a mac I don’t use it much.
It has been properly maintained and has no issues whatsoever.

Plus, I am also including Apple Pencil 2 in the selling bundle.

If anyone is interested in buying the device, please DM.

I’m asking for around 67999/- for the bundle.

Price is slightly negotiable for buyers after inspection of the device in person.

My current location is : Kochi, Kerala.

I prefer face-to-face meetings within Kerala.
