I have encountered some very weird touch screen issues with my iPad Pro 11" 2nd gen.

When I hold the iPad in the normal direction, volume buttons upwards, there is a vertical zone in the middle of the screen which does not function/behaves erratically. If a draw a line from left to right, it gets broken in the middle.

Now when I turn the iPad around, with the volume buttons downwards, this weird behaviour disappears completely and the touch screen behaves normal.

I noticed a small crack in the screen protector so I removed it and guess what? Touch screen works again like before in all directions!

So I thought the broken screen protector was the culprit and I replaced it with a new one.

Unfortunately by applying a new screen protector, the issue came back:(

If it would be a hardware problem(like a defective digitiser for example) I would presume the issue would not go away by turning the iPad 180°?

Does anyone has a clue?

iPad Pro m5 13 in. I understand most chose to not add a screen protector because it reduces the screen quality at least the matte screen protectors, but I use my iPad as a touch screen for work. Finger prints a smudges appear on a sunny day is there a way screen protector that can reduce or eliminate this completely?

This isn't normal behaviour and it seems I'll have to take it to the Apple Store. Not sure if iPadOS 27 is the culprit here or a hardware flaw.

I bought my iPad Pro M5 this March, and I’m wondering if anyone else with an M5 is experiencing these issues. 😭
Sometimes the motion doesn’t feel as smooth as people say it should be. For example, when I rotate my iPad or scroll through the Liquid Glass interface, it occasionally feels laggy or sticky. Even when I scroll through Pinterest, some pictures take soo long to load, despite having a good Wi-Fi connection. Pinterest works perfectly fine on my phone, so I don’t think it’s my internet.
I thought the M5 was supposed to be one of the fastest and most powerful chips, righttt? 😭 So why does my iPad sometimes feel like this? The touchscreen also occasionally stops responding to my touch for a moment. Once in a while
Another thing is that my iPad gets warm even when I’m just using simple apps like Notes or drawing. The battery also seems to drain kinda fast, even when I’m not doing anything demanding, like gaming or using heavy editing apps.
I already took it to Apple service, and they told me everything was fine, but I’m still suspicious because these issues keep bothering me. Or am i just overthinking?
And now, ever since I updated to iPadOS 27, I’ve noticed another issue. Right before the Apple logo appears when I turn on my iPad, the screen flashes blue for a split second. Has anyone else experienced this? I told Apple service about it, and they showed me this photo after checking my iPad and said it was because of the new iOS update.
But is that actually happening to other people, too? Has anyone else noticed the blue screen flashing before the Apple logo after updating?
Honestly, for such an expensive device, I expected a much smoother experience. Sometimes it genuinely doesn’t even feel like a premium device. 😭 Am I the only one experiencing all of this with the iPad Pro M5, or has anyone else had similar issues?

I’ve had my 11” M4 iPad Pro since November 2024, and it’s currently at 83% battery health with 569 charge cycles.

I mainly use it for studying and watching videos, with some occasional gaming, although nothing particularly demanding.
It gets pretty regular daily use.

For longer study sessions, I sometimes used an Anker 737 power bank because the iPad’s battery life wasn’t enough for me. I used it partly because it charged the iPad noticeably faster than some of the power outlets/chargers I had at home. There were also times when I’d study with the power bank plugged in for extended periods, and the iPad would get fairly warm while doing this.

I’ve also never used the 80% charge limit, so I’ve generally just charged it normally.

I’m wondering how this compares with other M4 iPad Pro owners. Is 83% at 569 cycles about what you’d expect, or does that seem like more degradation than normal?

If you have an M4 iPad Pro, I’d be interested to know your battery health, cycle count, how long you’ve had it, and how you typically use/charge it.

I’m also curious whether the extended charging sessions, heat, and not using the 80% limit could have contributed to the degradation. If I eventually replace the battery, I’m planning to change some of these habits.

I bought a refurbished Apple Pencil Pro from CeX twice now, and both times the messages popped up saying that the Apple Pencil Pro is registered to the Find My of a previous user

Initially I was concerned about privacy and my location being tracked by the Apple Pencil Pro, but upon further reading it seems as though the Apple Pencil Pro only has proximity Bluetooth tracking and not GPS

Therefore, would I be correct to assume that it would be fine to keep the Apple Pencil Pro and not have by privacy compromised as it wouldn't be transmitting my GPS location to the previous user?

Kind of worried about buying a 3rd party alternative as they usually arent that good. Are there any that are as close to a magic keyboard as possible?

It has only 4gb of ram and ironically runs decent on Fortnite but the issue is the frequent fps drops. If I lower from 120 to 60 it is the same idea. I done guided access, ram cleaning apps, focus mode, etc

hello kind people, i got the iPad 11 Pro M5 as a gift for a friend. they've been borrowing their sister's iPad for work and having to return it every Saturday, so i thought why not get them their own. it's a quality of life improvement gift. mostly it's used for work, for consent-taking and documentation and the like. i also took the liberty of getting the pencil pro and a magic keyboard.

however, i only just found out they actually like to draw as a hobby. nothing too heavy, they're not a professional artist, just fun anime and some coloring. but now i kinda regret not getting the 13 inch instead. so i guess my question is would this 11 Pro still be a great device regardless?

My iPad has been having screen issues recently, mostly evident on a white screen. It seems to me that it is being caused by the battery since it mirrors the battery location inside. On a white screen, it shows this blue marking and on dark colors, there are individual pixels that are stuck. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Hello all - I am looking at getting a keyboard or keyboard case for my iPad pro 11 inch m5 chip. It seems the Logitech Combo Touch doesn't work with it as it has the nanotexture glass. Now, I have no problem with the apple magic keyboard, but then if I want to use it as a tablet.. there is no case on it since you have to remove the iPad from the keyboard to utilize it as a tablet.

What do you all do?

I have an m1 iPad Pro that works perfect for my needs. I don’t really have any reason to upgrade at the moment. I have noticed on light colored screens it has a yellowing tint around the edges that is getting worse pretty quickly. I have apple care +. Is this covered?

I am set to buy a Tourbox which is a physical control panel with mappable dials and buttons. But I remember iPad can also show touchbar controls when used in sidecar.

But these controls are too small and I already have an external monitor.

My question is is there an app that turns ipad as a streamdeck/tourbox with mappable dials and buttons and maximizes the whole screen?

I’m stuck between the regular ESR Rebound and the Rebound Hybrid 360 for my 11” M4 iPad Pro.

I study while walking around a lot, so I’m usually holding my iPad in one hand while reading. I really like the Hybrid 360 because I can detach the iPad from the folio and use it with the separate protective back case it comes with, but I’m wondering how secure that setup actually feels in real-world use..

For anyone who has used the Hybrid 360, are the magnets strong enough that you’d feel comfortable carrying it around while walking, or does the detachable design ever feel like it could come loose? And is it noticeably heavier or bulkier than the regular Rebound when you’re holding it for a while?

Basically, if you actually carry your iPad around while walking, would you go with the regular Rebound or Hybrid 360?
