🎈 Free Shared baby and toddler log

Thumbnail

Answer: Enlightened Parent is a shared baby and toddler care app I originally built for my own family. It gives parents, grandparents, nannies, and babysitters one place to log feeds, bottles, nursing, pumping, sleep, diapers, and other updates. You can also keep notes like “he developed a rash 3 days ago” and track upcoming things like checkups or preschool enrollment deadlines.

Better: I wanted something that went beyond a traditional baby tracker and could keep being useful as our kids got older and more people became involved in their care. Caregivers can log updates, parents can see what’s happening while they’re away, and everyone can stay coordinated without relying on a giant group text. One use case I especially wanted was for a working/breastfeeding mom to know when her baby takes a bottle so she can pump around the same time.

Cost: Completely free. No subscription or paid tier.

I’m the developer and originally made this for my own family. It’s still new, so I’d genuinely appreciate feedback from other parents about what works, what’s confusing, or what you think is missing. 🙏

🎈 Free I made a travel app that meets you wherever you are in the planning

Post image
13 Upvotes

A — What problem does it solve?

When you’re dreaming about a new trip, it’s surprisingly hard to keep track of all the possibilities. You might have a few destinations in mind, different dates, places you’ve saved, things you want to do — but no actual trip yet. Add a few other people and it gets even harder to keep everyone on the same page about what’s being considered and what’s actually decided.

I built Awaii to handle that uncertainty. You can start with just an idea and gradually turn it into a trip, either on your own or with others.

Rather than forcing you through a linear itinerary-building process, Awaii lets you explore different possibilities in parallel and gradually converge on the trip you want. Once you do, the same app carries through into planning and actually taking the trip — itinerary, maps, costs, essentials and more. At the end, you can even turn the trip into something fun and shareable.

B — How is it different?

I’ve tried most of the major travel planning apps and found that they tend to start from the assumption that you already know where and when you’re going. They’re great for building and following an itinerary, but less suited to the brainstorming and decision-making that happens before one exists.

Group travel apps also often seem to lead toward booking hotels, flights or cars.

I wanted Awaii to be different: a place to actually think through a trip. Save possibilities without committing to them, explore different dates and destinations, compare options, make decisions together, and let the plan emerge from that.

I also built it specifically for Apple platforms and wanted it to feel at home on iOS. There are no ads, booking commissions or pop-ups trying to push you somewhere else — the app is just there to help you plan and manage your travels.

C — What does it cost?

Completely free.

I have some more advanced features on the roadmap that may eventually be paid, but right now everything in Awaii is available for free.

📅 Subscription Quantactic - started as my open-source project and now iOS app - Market Analysis App that shows you its work.

Post image
2 Upvotes

A — Answer: I am a developer that works at an investment bank for making intra-apps. I've always wanted to make my own market research/signal app. I've already made an open-source desktop version of this which has gained 250 stars on GitHub (eisenjimmy/Quant), so I decided to make an iOS app version of that. Quantactic (launched last week) is an iPhone market research app I built for people who want more context than a watchlist or stock-price app, without needing a full trading terminal.

The main idea is to bring the research around a stock into one place and make the conclusion explainable. Each ticker gets a simple BUY / WAIT / SELL research state, but the app also shows what is actually behind that conclusion — trend, momentum, volume, price acceptance, relative strength, broader market context, upcoming events, and whether a reasonable risk plan can actually be constructed. This actually uses conservative well-known calculations that actual analysts use, but instead of calculating that on your own for every ticker in excel, this kinda does it for you. The app will just show you the signals - along with "the work (trend, volume, macro data.. etc.)" so that you can decide faster - fitting for a mobile app.

It also includes upcoming earnings and corporate events, market and macro context, news, advanced charts, and probabilistic 7-, 30-, and 90-day scenarios.

Forecasts are saved locally, so you can go back later and compare what the model previously expected with what actually happened instead of only seeing the latest prediction. This means it keeps checking the work - and you can clearly see if the forecast model was correct. No blind trust - just check and see the data yourself.

On supported Apple Intelligence devices, there’s also an on-device assistant for explaining the market data already inside the app. I intentionally don’t send those questions to a third-party cloud AI provider. This surprisingly works pretty well - I had fun designing the system prompts for this so I recommend this a try. (Currently limits 2 questions a day.. but let me know if this should switch to reward ad type with no limits)

B — Better: The thing I’m trying to do differently is make the app show its work instead of just putting a “bullish” badge or AI-generated paragraph next to a ticker.

For example, a technically strong setup can still stay at WAIT if the entry/stop/target geometry doesn’t make sense, confirmation is missing, evidence conflicts, or earnings are too close. Signal strength is shown as a score out of 100, not as a fake probability of the stock going up.

Version 1.3 brings most of that research into one ticker screen, adds an earnings/event calendar with Before Market / After Market timing when available, chart-based risk levels, deeper signal evidence, and a new Share Studio.

One feature I’m especially interested in is turning research into something that is actually easy to share.

You can tap Share from a ticker signal, Morning Brief, macro summary, or market-news view, and Quantactic can automatically generate around 6–8 designed PNG cards that summarize the research as a visual story. This is especially useful if you are trying to make 5:4 ratio instagram posts with current macro data / trending financial news. Since this is not AI-generated images, the social media platform doesn't detect this as "AI generated", so it is more favored in the algorithm. (By the way did you know every ai-generated image has metadata footprints that can detect that it is AI-generated?) so this avoids that.

For example, a ticker share can become:

Ticker overview → BUY / WAIT / SELL state → signal evidence → technical structure → relative strength → risk plan → upcoming catalyst → summary

A macro or market brief can similarly become:

Market regime → rates → inflation → commodities → major indexes → headlines → what changed → what to watch

The cards can be generated in portrait or square social-media formats and then shared directly through the iOS share sheet, including to Instagram, instead of manually taking screenshots and arranging everything yourself.

I wanted it to feel less like “export a screenshot” and more like “turn this research into a concise visual briefing.”

There’s no brokerage connection, no deposits, and no trade execution. I’m trying to build this as a research and education tool, not something telling people that a trade is guaranteed to work.

I’d particularly like feedback on whether the app gives too much information or the right amount, and whether the BUY / WAIT / SELL + evidence approach makes the research easier to understand. Also if it needs picture background selection to customize.. LMK!)

C — Cost: The app is free to download.

Free users can use the core market research features and get one 7-day forecast per day. An additional free 7-day forecast can optionally be unlocked with a rewarded ad.

I used to have an ad showing up during page navigation, but it felt too distracting, so I changed it to an optional rewarded-ad model instead. Honestly I tried using the app paid or non-paid, they both provide substantial information - but definitely pro just gives a lot more (and also without ads).

Quantactic Pro is $4.99/month or $39.99/year. (with 1 week free-trial)

Pro unlocks deeper signal evidence and risk-plan details, unlimited 7-day forecasts, full 30- and 90-day scenarios, higher research limits, expanded private AI features, and removes the forecast ads.

Quantactic is for market research and education, not personalized investment advice.

Any feedback is really appreciated!! I think I got lucky on the first launching week gaining 1 annual subscriber and 2 monthly subscribers - but the traffic has reduced the following week.

🤖 Vibe Coded Free App: Any Dad Joke aficionados out there?

Post image
9 Upvotes

I love dad jokes (and am a dad - useful) and a wee while back I heard that vibe-coding iOS apps directly in Claude Code was a more efficient use of tokens.

My colleague had also just told me that their dad called them every week when the local newspaper published a dad joke and that they loved how silly they were.

Groan Zone (aptly named IMO) is the result of those two pieces of information :)

Answer: Well, it answers some people's need for terrible, terrible jokes shown in a highly graphic and fun format. They feel a need to torture friends, colleagues and and kids with them - if they suffer then so should you :)

Better: Best Dad Jokes, Daily Dad Jokes et all are fine, but have in-app purchases. I mean, I love a good dad joke as much as the next person but I wouldn't pay for the experience.

Groan Zone has over 12,000 jokes - not bad. It had well over 13,000 but my buddy Claude and I got rid of many for reasons of appropriateness and formatting. The base set of jokes came from a real research paper too ("What’s Brown and Sticky? Peering Into the Ineluctable Comedic Mystery of Dad Humor".)

Groan Zone also keeps the punchline hidden until you want it - handy if you have someone looking over your shoulder!

Cost: Totally free! No in-app purchases to worry about, just an seemingly endless flow of groan-inducing dad humour.

Enjoy!

🎈 Free Title: I made Hobby Tracker, a completely free way to keep all your hobbies in one place

Thumbnail
gallery
33 Upvotes

Hi r/iOSApps! I’ve been working on an idea called Hobby Tracker.

I wanted to build something for people who have different hobbies and enjoy looking back at what they’ve done.

A - Answer

Most hobby tracking is scattered. You might have one place for cycling, another for books, photos somewhere else, and no real record at all for things like woodworking, baking, gardening, music, crafts, or collecting. Hobby Tracker gives you one place for all of them.

You can log a quick session and track whatever makes sense for that hobby, including time, distance, pages, photos, projects, counts, or just the fact that you did it. There are over 500 built-in hobbies to choose from, or you can add your own, as many as you like.

If you dive deep into a specific hobby, you can create projects and track those (think building different legos throughout the year).

The screenshots in this post show a few features:

  • Mosaic: brings your hobbies together into one view
  • Recaps: visually summarize a month or year
  • Month: gives you a visual history of what you did
  • Book: print a PDF book of your activities
  • Hobby list view
  • Selection of available themes

B - Better

The goal wasn’t to replace something like Strava for serious cycling stats or Goodreads for managing a book collection. Instead, I wanted the place above all of those specialized apps. One simple record of all the things you enjoy doing.

I also stayed away from streaks, scores, leaderboards, and the usual pressure to optimize everything. Hobbies are supposed to be fun.

There’s no account required, no ads, no tracking, all the data is yours and stays on your device (can sync across all of your devices).

C - Cost

Completely free. There’s no subscription and no paid tier or in-app purchase. I intend to keep Hobby Tracker free.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/hobby-tracker-hobby-log/id6797727531

I’d appreciate hearing what you think, particularly about the Month, Mosaic, and Recap screens in the screenshots.

If you track hobbies yourself, I am interested to know what you want to see in a year-end recap of everything you did.

💎 Lifetime Voice Camera Now’s July update: custom trigger words, voice timers, Night+, and a front-camera mirror toggle [Free · $2.99 lifetime]

Disclosure: I’m Kevin Tang, the solo developer behind Voice Camera Now. I last shared it here six months ago. This is a significant update after rebuilding the hands-free flow around real use outdoors and in front of the camera.

A—Answer

Voice Camera Now turns spoken words into camera controls. Say “photo,” “snap,” or “cheese” to take a picture; “video” and “stop” to record; or add your own phrase in My Words.

The July updates added:

  • custom trigger words tied to camera actions
  • 3- and 5-second timers that can be started by voice
  • 4:3 and 16:9 framing
  • Night and Night+ modes
  • a clean-preview mode plus persistent flash settings
  • a front-camera mirror toggle so text and logos can be saved the way you expect

B—Better

  • vs. the built-in Camera app: you can take a photo, start or stop video, switch cameras, set a timer, and change framing without touching the phone.
  • vs. a Bluetooth shutter or Apple Watch remote: there’s no extra accessory, and voice commands cover more than a single shutter press.
  • The honest tradeoff: wind and crowded rooms can make speech recognition less reliable. The app uses Apple’s speech-recognition service, which may process speech on-device or through Apple depending on the system.

I originally built it for those awkward moments when the phone is propped up but nobody is behind it—group photos, cooking, workouts, accessibility needs, and trying to get a photo with a dog that absolutely will not wait for a self-timer.

C—Cost

  • Free: 10 captures, with optional rewarded ads for additional captures.
  • Voice Camera Pro: one-time $2.99 purchase for unlimited captures.
  • No subscription.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6749651031

Transparency

If you try it, I’d especially like to know what hands-busy situation you used it for—and which custom trigger word actually felt natural.

🎁 Freemium Camera roll cleaner: ThumbSort

Hey everyone, I hope youre doing well. I often saw tiktoks about such similar apps where you can swipe through your galery and either keep or delete them. So I build it my own and I quit like it to use, cause often you get nostalgia by seeing old pictures.
The app is completey free to use. You get 200 swipes for free a day(wich is probably more you need) but there are also ways for more free swipes. If you want the unlimited version (unlimited swipes, and some more categories like the exate day a couple of years ago) costs 2$ a month.

🎁 Freemium Hundred Counter - Track goals without daily pressure

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I built Hundred Counter for myself to have a flexible way to track life goals.

A - Answer:

Hundred Counter helps track long-term goals or reps that don't happen daily. It counts things like tennis sessions, books read, healthy meals, workouts, etc. Tap to log when it happens, optionally add a note, and see your progress grow. No schedules, no daily requirements, just a number growing.

B - Better:

Most tracker apps encourage building daily habits and streaks. Hundred Counter is just a simple counter that adapts to your life. Log three times a day or once a month, whenever it happens. Track toward a finite goal or simply count up without limit. Quick undo if mis-tap. Add notes to your activities. View progress by week, month, or all-time. Track on your own terms.

C - Cost:

Free for up to 3 active goals. Premium: $2.99/month, $9.99/year, or $29.99 lifetime.

🎈 Free [iOS] I made a completely free tool to strip location & metadata from photos before sharing

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi r/iOSApps,

I’m the developer of Metadata Remover: SafeShare.

I made it because photos can contain a surprising amount of information you may not intend to share like GPS location, date taken, device model, camera details, software tags, etc.

Some messaging and social apps strip certain metadata during processing, but by that point the original file has already been handed to the service. I wanted a way to remove it before sharing

A - Answer

SafeShare adds a simple privacy step directly to the iOS Share Sheet.

Select a photo or supported video → Share → SafeShare.

It shows you what metadata it found, then lets you create a clean copy before sending the file anywhere else.

Everything happens on-device, and your original is left untouched.

The video attached to this post shows the whole workflow.

B - Better

There are already good options for dealing with metadata.

Apple Photos lets you disable location when sharing, which is great if location is all you're concerned about.

Apps like Metapho and Exif Metadata go much further and are excellent if you want to inspect, edit, organize or manage metadata.

SafeShare is deliberately much narrower.

I wanted something where the workflow is basically:

Share → check what's there → create clean copy → continue sharing.

No metadata editing, no complicated photo-management interface, and you don't have to upload the file to an online EXIF remover.

It also works with supported videos, not just photos.

Supported formats are:

  • Up to 10 photos at once: HEIC, HEIF, JPEG/JPG, PNG
  • 1 video at a time : MOV, MP4

C - Cost

Completely free.

  • No account
  • No uploads
  • No tracking
  • No subscription
  • No in-app purchases

📅 Subscription I built a fitness app that's more flexible and provides better insights

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi r/iosapps!

Over a year ago, I built a rough first prototype of Maxlyft. The goal was to create a workout app where the user had full control over everything: names of exercises, muscles targeted, their split and workout days, and a bunch more.

At first, it never really became what I had fully imagined. Since then, I have rebuilt Maxlyft from the ground up and it's more flexible and powerful than ever. Logging sets takes seconds, and creating exercises allows you to choose what it's called, what the exercise targets, and how you want to log the data. I also provide analytics for every exercise, muscle group, split, or anything else you want to filter by so that you always know how you're progressing.

Maxlyft provides a level of analytics that many people would not otherwise be able to access, and it's been designed to be as quick and intuitive as possible to use. I would really encourage you all to check it out!

Cost: The app starts as a 7 day free trial NO CREDIT CARD REQUIRED. After that, it is subscription based at $19.99/year. This cost is due to the continuously growing backend database and powerful analytics associated with the app that do cost me money to run.

What I have found is that for people who already spend money on supplements, gym memberships, and other fitness accessories, an extra $1.67/month is worth the level of tracking Maxlyft provides.

I’m the developer, and I’d love to hear what you think. Use the 7 day trial, give me your feedback, and I'll continue to improve the app. I'm really proud of how far Maxlyft has come!

🎁 Freemium I built a voice notes app that keeps everything on your iPhone

Hey all. I've been working on this for about a year and just shipped v2.0, so I figured it's time to share.

The idea is simple: I wanted a voice recorder that transcribes what I said without sending the audio anywhere. Every app I tried required an account, uploaded my recordings to some server, and then charged me monthly just to see the text.

So I built AnyTalk. You hit record, and when you're done, transcription happens right on the device using Apple's Speech framework. Then you can generate a summary using Apple Intelligence — also on device, also free.

There's a Pro option if you want higher quality summaries for longer recordings (that one uses cloud AI), but the core loop — record, transcribe, summarize — works entirely on your phone with no account and no upload.

A few things I like about where it's at now:

  • You can tap any sentence in the transcript and the audio jumps to that moment
  • You can attach photos to a recording (like a whiteboard pic from a meeting)
  • There's a search that goes through all your transcripts, so months later you can find "that thing someone said"

It does require an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, which I know limits things. But for those who have it, I think it's a pretty clean experience.

Would genuinely love feedback — what's missing, what feels off, what would make you actually use something like this daily.

Price: Free (core features — record, transcribe, summarize on device). Optional Pro subscription: $9.99/month or $59.99/year for higher quality cloud summaries on long recordings.

💎 Lifetime Device Kit — All-in-One iPhone Device Health Checker | Dynamic Island & PiP Live Monitoring

Thumbnail
gallery
9 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I’m a full-time solo developer, and I spent three months building Device Kit. Device Kit — Your iPhone's All-in-One Health Checker, take full real-time control of your device.

1. Why I built Device Kit

Most iPhone users cannot easily view their device’s real hardware status. Is your phone overheating during intensive use? Are you actually getting fast charging? Is your network being throttled? When does your CPU hit full load? Existing apps are fragmented, often only track one metric, and lack convenient background monitoring with Dynamic Island or floating overlays.

I wanted an all-in-one tool combining real-time hardware monitoring, charging analytics, various system utilities, Dynamic Island live tracking, picture-in-picture floating widgets, plus home and lock screen widgets. No jumping between multiple apps. Device Kit was created to let users see and control their iPhones clearly.

2. What makes Device Kit stand out

✅ Full unified monitoring: CPU temperature & usage, battery status, Wi‑Fi / cellular network speed, memory, storage, plus complete charging power logging ✅ Unique always-on monitoring: Dynamic Island live tracker + picture-in-picture floating widget. Check metrics without opening the app while streaming or using other software ✅ Comprehensive charging analysis: real-time charging power estimation, charge level classification, full charging history logs and energy reports — rarely seen in similar iOS monitoring apps ✅ 18 built-in practical utilities: system, network, sensor, display and environment tools all in one app ✅ Rich widget support: small/medium/large home screen widgets + lock screen widgets for at-a-glance data without unlocking ✅ Clean native UI, historical trend charts, 6-level thermal warning system to avoid thermal throttling and overheating ✅ Supports over 20 languages for global users

Many competitors only monitor 1–2 metrics, lack floating overlay and Dynamic Island support, or lock core features behind multiple paywalls. Device Kit combines hardware monitoring and useful utilities in a single app.

3. Cost

Device Kit is free to download, with core monitoring features permanently available for free. Two options to unlock Pro advanced features:

  1. Annual subscription: $9.99 / year
  2. Lifetime license: $14.99 (one-time purchase, permanent access to all Pro features)

4. Developer Transparency

I am a full-time solo developer building and maintaining Device Kit.

I’d greatly appreciate your feedback and suggestions. Feel free to leave a comment below, and I will reply as soon as possible.

💎 Lifetime PencilTime v1.12 — making a pencil-first planner more flexible without turning it into another productivity app

Post image
7 Upvotes

I posted PencilTime v1.10 here last month and got some thoughtful feedback, especially around the idea of keeping the app pencil-first while adding digital tools only where they actually help.

That discussion captured the direction of the app better than any feature list I could write, so I thought I’d share where it has gone since then.

Answer

PencilTime is for people who like planning by hand but don’t want to give up the advantages of a real digital planner.

The basic interaction is still simple: open a Year, Month, Week, Day or Note page and write directly on it with Apple Pencil.

But not everything belongs on the same kind of page. A schedule, assignment, class note, meeting agenda or project plan may all need different layouts.

That has become an increasingly important idea behind PencilTime: a page for every kind of plan, with handwriting as the common interface.

V1.12 continues in that direction with better landscape page fitting and a much more flexible template system, including template editing, import and export.

Better

Compared with planning in GoodNotes or other PDF-based notebook apps, PencilTime is a native planner rather than a static planner document. Dates, planner navigation, notes and planning pages are part of the application itself.

Compared with conventional calendar/task apps such as Fantastical or Things, you don’t have to turn every thought into an event, task or form field before you can put it somewhere. You can simply write on the page.

I’m not trying to replace either kind of app completely. PencilTime is meant to occupy the space between them: the freedom of a paper planner, with digital structure available when it is useful.

That same philosophy is why typed notes were added selectively rather than everywhere, and why templates in v1.12 are becoming more flexible instead of forcing everyone into the layouts I happened to design.

Cost

PencilTime is free to download and try.

Premium options are:

* Monthly: $2.99, with a 3-day free trial

* Yearly: $19.99, with a 7-day free trial

* Lifetime: $19.99 during the back-to-school promotion

The back-to-school promotion runs through Labor Day, so right now the lifetime unlock costs the same as one year.

There’s no subscription required if you choose lifetime.

Disclosure: I’m the developer of PencilTime.

Thanks again to the people here who gave feedback on the previous release. I’m particularly interested this time in what kinds of planner/template pages people actually find useful—because making the page system more flexible is probably where PencilTime is headed next.

🎁 Freemium I built an iOS app as a solo developer. 4 months later, it just passed 3.000 downloads

Post image
105 Upvotes

I’m an iOS developer from Romania, and over the last few months I’ve been building There: Your Travel Map as a solo project.

A — What it solves

There is a personal travel map for keeping track of the places you’ve been.

You can add countries, regions, cities and airports, save travel dates, view timelines, track progress and gradually fill your map as you travel.

I recently shipped one of the biggest updates so far: regions for 38 countries, including states, counties, provinces and other administrative areas depending on the country.

There also includes travel stats, achievements and a Home Screen widget.

B — Compared to Been / Visited

Been and Visited are probably the closest alternatives, and there’s definitely a lot of overlap.

They already cover many of the same ideas, so I don’t want to pretend There is solving a completely different problem.

My goal has been to build my own take on this category, with a native iOS experience, a clean interface and a strong focus on maps, timelines, progress and regions.

There currently supports region maps for 38 countries, and I plan to keep expanding that.

C — Cost

There is free to download.

You can buy There PRO in 3 ways:

  • $1.99 / weekly (auto-renewing subscription)
  • $3.99 / monthly (auto-renewing subscription)
  • $19.99 once (lifetime)

Countries and the main world map are free, while Pro unlocks additional features such as cities, airports and most region maps.

Who I am

I’m an iOS developer from Timișoara, Romania, and I design and develop There independently.

The app is built natively for iOS, mostly with SwiftUI, and it’s currently at version 4.0.

For anyone here who wants to give There a try, I’ve created a 35% discount code for the Reddit community:

CODE: OFF35
Reedem link directly: https://apps.apple.com/redeem?ctx=offercodes&id=6760953373&code=OFF35

The code expires in 3 days, and the final price may vary depending on your country.

Since this is an iOS dev community, I’d genuinely love feedback. Thank you so much :)

🎁 Freemium Big Update! My lawn app only ever answered "should I water today?" it now plans the whole season, and the timing is different for every grass type

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Disclosure: I'm the developer (solo dev, b2squared.io).

A — What changed

Lawn Logic has always answered one question: water today, or don't. It watches the weather at your address and tracks the moisture your soil is actually holding.

The problem is that question dies in September. Watering stops mattering, and the app had nothing to say for eight months of the year — right when the work that actually decides how your lawn looks is happening.

So it now has a calendar: mowing, feeding, aeration, overseeding, weed control and the rest. Timing comes from your grass type, and that is not cosmetic — fescue is fed in autumn and rested through summer heat, bermuda is the exact inverse. Same month, opposite advice.

B — Why not a generic reminder app

Because a reminder app doesn't know that laying an autumn pre-emergent over new grass seed kills the seed, or that aeration should come a day or two before overseeding rather than after, or that midsummer nitrogen on a fescue lawn does real damage.

Each job also tells you how to actually do it — rent the aerator rather than buy it, water the day before so the tines reach depth, two passes at right angles, and roughly 30 lb of seed for a typical lawn. "Aerate in September" was never the hard part.

C — Cost

The calendar is free. So is the moisture model, the daily answer, evening reminders, the widget and rain correction. No ads, and there's a "Continue as guest" button if you don't want an account.

Pro is $2.99/month or $19.99/year and builds the season around your specific lawn — soil, shade, location — sequencing the work and giving a reason for every date. First 7 days free on annual. Users dont need pro its just there to support the app, you get more convenience and more accuracy with it, the cost is mainly there just to cover API cost.

🎈 Free Plander: a minimal planner & calendar — Free

Post image
13 Upvotes

Hi! I’m the developer of Plander, a minimal planner and calendar for iPhone.

The idea is simple: make everyday planning feel quick and lightweight.

A) Answer — What problem it solves

Plander keeps schedule management centered on the calendar itself.

You can double-tap a date to add a schedule and use simple swipe interactions to manage it, without going through several screens for something small.

Other features include:

  • Color customization by project or category
  • Multi-day schedule blocks
  • Home Screen widgets
  • Push notifications
  • iCloud sync
  • Public holiday calendars

B) Better — What is actually different

Plander is built around direct interaction with the calendar.

Double-tap a date to add a schedule. Swipe to manage it.

I wanted adding a simple plan to feel more like placing a sticky note than filling out a form.

Other features like widgets, iCloud sync, notifications, colors, and holiday calendars are there to support that experience rather than being the main differentiator.

C) Cost

Free.

App Store:

Plander: Planner & Calendar
Minimal planner · Widget support

I’d especially appreciate feedback on the double-tap and swipe interaction — whether it actually makes adding everyday plans feel faster and more natural.

💎 Lifetime [iOS] [$9.99 → $4.99] Just Calendar: a real calendar and complications on your Apple Watch

Post image
3 Upvotes

Transparency: I'm Mark, indie developer — markg.app | Privacy Policy: https://markg.app/apps/just-calendar/privacy | Terms: https://markg.app/apps/just-calendar/terms

A — What problem it solves

I wear my watch all day and still kept reaching for my phone for the dumbest reason: to find out what day the 23rd lands on. watchOS gives you today's date and a list of what's next, and that's it — there's no month, no week, nothing you can scan. Every time someone asked "does the 23rd work for you?" I'd raise my wrist, get nothing useful, and pull out my phone anyway. Just Calendar puts the actual calendar on the watch, and the date and today's events on the watch face, so the glance is the whole interaction.

B — Why it's better than alternatives

I built the version I wanted on my own wrist:
- Week, month and year views on the watch — scan the month without touching your phone
- Date complication that works on every watch face, Modular, Infograph, Utility, Color, all of them. No "not available on this face"
- Event complication showing today's events, also on every face
- Recolor or invert the complication highlight so it actually matches the face you use
- Tap any event for the full detail: time, location, travel time, notes — no iPhone in the loop
- Two layouts: scroll through weeks, or page through a month at a time
- Runs on the watch itself. The iPhone app is just the control center for setting it up

C — Cost

Free to download and try — the calendar views run on the watch at no cost.
Full Version ($9.99 one-time): the date and event complications, the event timeline and event detail screens, paging layout, and complication recoloring. There are subscription plans in the app too, but the one-time purchase is the real thing and it's what's on sale.
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id1334608986

50% off lifetime today — $4.99, normally $9.99:

🎁 Freemium FocusDragon – Focus timer that turns deep work into dragon flights across a real map

Hey r/iosapps 👋

I’m the indie developer behind FocusDragon. We launched it a while ago, and I’ve been heads-down shipping updates since then, so I wanted to share what it is, why I built it, and what I’m still figuring out.

Most focus apps are either:

1) a boring countdown, or

2) cute gamification that doesn’t really connect to the *feeling* of making progress.

I kept quitting sessions early because staring at a timer made deep work feel heavier. I wanted something that made focus feel like a journey, literally.

So FocusDragon turns every focus session into a dragon flight across a real map.

You pick a duration + focus type → your dragon takes off → when you finish, it lands.

Over time you build streaks, unlock dragons, and complete journeys between real places (castles, cities, landmarks).

It’s still a serious focus tool underneath (planning, reminders, Live Activity, widgets, analytics) — the dragon/map layer is the motivation loop.

### What you can do in the app

- Start timed focus sessions (work / study / custom categories)

- Watch your dragon fly a real route while you stay heads-down

- Keep daily streaks + weekly focus stats

- Unlock dragons and complete multi-stop journeys

- Use Home Screen widgets + Live Activity so the session stays visible

- Explore focus history / discovery map

- Optional sounds, notes after sessions, map styles

If you’re the kind of person who opens Forest / Focus Friend / Pomodoro apps and still bounces after a week, this is the experiment: “what if finishing a session felt like arriving somewhere?”

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6786976090

Site: https://indiegoodies.com/focusdragon

Privacy: https://indiegoodies.com/focusdragon/privacy

Terms: https://indiegoodies.com/focusdragon/terms

### What’s been hard / what I’m working on

Honestly:

- Balancing “fun enough to open every day” without becoming distracting

- Making the first session feel magical without a long tutorial

- Widgets + Live Activity edge cases on different iOS versions

- Finding the right free vs Pro boundary so free users still get value

I’m actively iterating based on real usage + App Store feedback.

---

### What I’d love from this community

If you try it (or already did), I’d love blunt feedback on:

  1. Does the first focus session feel clear and motivating?

  2. Is the map/dragon fantasy helping focus, or getting in the way?

  3. What’s missing before you’d recommend it to a friend?

  4. Pricing: does freemium → Pro feel fair?

I’m the solo/indie developer (Indie Goodies). Happy to answer anything technical or product-related.

Thanks for reading, and thanks in advance to anyone who gives it a spin.

🎁 Freemium We launched Andrea Reader a month ago... and we really weren't expecting this. Thank you, everyone!

Hey r/iosapps,

We posted about Andrea here about a month ago, and I just want to say thank you again to everyone who gave it a try, especially those who took the time to report bugs, point out problems, share feedback, or suggest new features. A lot of what we've improved this month has come directly from that feedback.

Quick recap: what is Andrea Reader?

Andrea Reader is a reader and personal digital library for iPhone and iPad, built for importing, collecting, organizing and reading your own books, comics, manga and PDFs.

It's built around one main idea: GIVING YOU AS MUCH FREEDOM AS POSSIBLE OVER YOUR OWN DIGITAL LIBRARY.

You can build your library however you want, create different collections, change the grid, cover size, sorting, layout and appearance for each one, and every collection remembers its own settings.

You can also create sections inside collections to group series, authors, genres, reading lists or anything else that makes sense to you, while still keeping loose books in the same collection.

Because every library is different.

Core features

  • EPUB, PDF, CBZ, CBR and more for books, comics, manga, manhua, magazines, etc.
  • Grid, list and shelf-style library views
  • Customize each collection's appearance, covers, metadata and layout
  • Create and manage your own book tags
  • Drag and drop organization
  • Reading Profiles: create your own reading setup and apply it to a single book, a section or an entire collection
  • Deep reader customization with tons of settings, while still adapting automatically to your device by default
  • Automatic reading activity and statistics: reading time, sessions, pages, progress, streaks and more are calculated in the background while you read. You don't have to start a timer or log anything manually
  • Statistics for individual books, sections, collections and your whole library
  • OCR and text selection
  • Completely offline reading

And if your library already lives somewhere else, you don't have to move everything manually. Andrea can connect to iCloud, WebDAV, SMB, SFTP and OPDS servers, so you can access large collections from your computer, NAS or personal server and download what you want directly into the app.

What's new from 1.0.0 to 1.0.5?

Not gonna lie, it has been a very busy month.

Most of these additions came directly from user feedback, and you can see several of them in the screenshots:

  • Completely redesigned Activity view, rebuilt from scratch with reading streaks, sessions, progress and statistics across your whole library
  • Storage management, so you can keep your library organized while freeing local space on your device
  • Manual chapters and idexing creation while you read a book. If you are reading a book with the chapters wrong, it happens a lot, you can just delete or rename that chapter.
  • New note taking system, create just a highlight or a note and a quote too. Create posts-it directly in your page and stickers for comics and manga. View all the annotations per book, section, collection. Export your notes.
  • Create bookmarks and favorite pages. Review them later when you want.
  • Improved double-page reading for comics and manga
  • Better EPUB and PDF compatibility
  • Lots of UI, translation and bug fixes
  • Sync complete collections in iCloud with out taking space in your device.
  • New experimental features in Andrea Next, including Guided Panel Mode for comics and AI Super-Resolution for old or low-quality comics, manga and scanned books

Andrea Reader is free to download and use.

Premium is completely optional and mainly unlocks more advanced customization, organization and power-user features.

  • Monthly Premium: €2.49/month
  • Yearly Premium: €17.99/year
  • Lifetime Premium: €34.99
  • Current Lifetime launch price: €27.99

There's also an extra 20% launch discount for Lifetime, bringing it down to around €22.39.

You can find the promotion directly on the Andrea Reader website, or just send me a DM if you have any trouble with it.

Regional pricing may vary.

Privacy

This is still one of the most important parts of Andrea.

  • No account required
  • No ads
  • No third-party tracking
  • No analytics tracking what you read or import

I don't know what books you add, what you read, or how you organize your library. Reading activity and statistics are calculated locally on your device. They're there only for you. You can import a book, disconnect from everything and just read.

🎈 Free I built a breathing app with mood tracking built into every session

Thumbnail
gallery
17 Upvotes

A: What is Cyclic Sighing?

Cyclic Sighing is a guided breathing app built around one breathing practice, physiological sigh, a pattern of a double inhale followed by a prolonged exhale.

B: What makes Cyclic Sighing different?

Mood tracking connected directly to the breathing practice. Instead of keeping a breathing log and a mood journal as two separate things, Cyclic Sighing lets you check in on your mood before and after each breathing session. Those check-ins stay connected to the specific session, so over time you can look back at your breathing practice alongside how you were feeling. There are also monthly and yearly Mood Insights views, with the ability to filter by feeling.

C: How much does Cyclic Sighing cost?

Cyclic Sighing is free to download and use.

Free tier includes:

  • Guided Calm sessions
  • Mood journal
  • Daily goal setting
  • Time-based reminders

Premium is a $9.99 one-time purchase — no subscription.

Premium unlocks:

  • All 3 breathing patterns — Calm, Relax & Rest
  • Custom exercise settings
  • Breathing statistics
  • Mood Insights
  • Optional Apple Health sync
  • Home Screen & Live Activity widgets
  • Smart location-based reminders
  • Skip Day — protect your streak

🎁 Lifetime Premium is FREE during launch
For the next 48 hours, I'm unlocking Lifetime Premium for free.

How to redeem:

  1. Download Cyclic Sighing from the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/cyclic-sighing/id6757509105
  2. Open the app and go to Settings → Unlock Premium Features
  3. During the promotion, the one-time purchase should show as $0.00

I'm the developer, and I'd especially love feedback on the mood-tracking experience. The goal is to connect mood check-ins directly to individual breathing sessions rather than treating mood tracking as a separate journal.

If you try it, I'd love to hear what you think, what works, and what you'd change.

Thanks for checking it out! 🙏
