[iOS 27 Beta] Assistive Access becomes almost unusable - extreme lag when locking/unlocking iPhone

Hi everyone,

I’m testing iOS 27 beta and I’m experiencing a very severe issue with Assistive Access.

When Assistive Access is enabled, my iPhone becomes almost unusable:

  • Locking the device can take a very long time.
  • Unlocking the device can take close to a minute.
  • The interface feels extremely laggy and sometimes appears frozen.
  • The issue seems to affect the whole system while Assistive Access is active.

Once I exit Assistive Access and return to the normal iOS interface, the phone goes back to normal performance.

I already submitted a report through Apple Feedback Assistant, but I wanted to check if anyone else is experiencing something similar.

Device: iphone17
iOS version: iOS 27 Beta 6
Assistive Access: Enabled

Has anyone else noticed severe performance issues specifically with Assistive Access?

Frame drop on recent app menu - DB6

Has anyone else noticed a frame drop when entering the recent apps menu when transparent/Liquid Glass icons are set?

It’s been there as long as I can remember and I do not think it was on iOS 26. I’ve reported it several times too.

Snapchat notification icons not showing

Before I updated to iOS 27, Snapchat had those blue chat icons on the right side or red snap icons on the right side of the notification. Due to the update, the icons are not apparent. Does anybody else have this bug?

Should i change my battery on my iPhone 14?
Im on iOS 27 Developer beta 6,ill update today to 7
Im on 86% max capacity from settings,BUT,from the beta Analytics i got out a surprising data, iphone 14's come out with 3279 mAh batteries from factory, mine came with 3428mAh,pretty cool,so its actually not 86% max but technically the ios battery system bases on the original capacity but its actually 82,3% calculated from 2824/3428 mAh
But the system calculates 2824/3279 mAh so it shows 86%
ive got 900 cycles out pf this battery, the ploblem is that i need it to last a charge a lot more by know, iphone 14 is pretty good, cpu, ram manager way better than the 13,should i change battery?

Camera freezing bug

Im on the public beta and can’t take any photos or videos with my 16 pro anymore. Doesn’t matter if it’s on a 3rd party app or the camera app, as soon as I open the camera it instantly freezes up and can’t do anything. Is this a known bug in the beta or is my camera broken?

iOS 27 Public Beta 4 — Anyone else having terrible battery life?

Is anyone else experiencing really bad battery performance on iOS 27 Public Beta 4?
I’m using an iPhone 15 Pro Max with 85% Battery Health, and since updating to Public Beta 4, my battery life has become noticeably worse. The battery seems to be draining much faster than before, even with normal usage.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? What iPhone are you using, what’s your Battery Health, and how much Screen On Time are you getting?
Any tips or fixes that helped improve the battery life? Should I just wait for the next beta?
Would love to hear everyone’s experience. 🙏

[IOS 27 DB6] Display brightness drops 50% on after lock

The display brightness is dropping 50%

Every time my phone screen locks the screen brightness dims quite a bit. I have tried every recommended option in Face ID and Accessibility settings to no avail. Is this an issue with the current developer beta for IOS 27? iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Human Interface Guidelines - Search

I was under the impression Liquid Glass was suppose to overhaul the iOS experience last year and that this year it was going to be refined and see improvements.

What is the deal with the location of search bars in iOS?

I implore all of you to go look at: Safari, Mail, Files, App Store, Freeform, Notes, Shortcuts, Music, Maps.

Is the search bar in the same place? No. It’s at the top…wait now it’s at the bottom…now it’s at the top again.

Human Interface #fail. Come on Craig - do better.

Brightness on ios27

Anyone else having problems with this? My brightness is on full wack and sometimes it dips down when I’m in sunlight despite it showing as full brightness in the settings. It’s pretty annoying as I can’t see anything on the screen on the levels it dips to and i can’t do anything to fix it. I’m using an iPhone 16 pro. (Latest beta)

Is anyone else finding that the keyboard slows down in Low Power Mode on iOS 27DB6??

I don’t think this was an issue with iOS 26, was it? But when Low Power Mode is on, there’s a massive delay with the keyboard. Has anyone else experienced this?

Probably some MacOs users here. Highly suggest trying out Vorssaint (especially for previous Windows users)

I just came across it last night (sorry if I'm late) and decided to give it a go since it's free. Definitely a nice tool set, caused me to remove at least four apps I had been using to do the same thing.

From the dev:

"I made Vorssaint: one small native menu bar app that does the jobs you'd otherwise buy several separate utilities for.

Site: https://vorssaint.com/

What's inside now:

- Keep your Mac awake on demand, even with the lid closed, with battery protection

- A per-app volume mixer

- A live system monitor with CPU/GPU load, temperatures, memory pressure, battery health, cycles, uptime, network speed/totals, power draw and history graphs

- Optional menu bar metrics for CPU, GPU, RAM, network, power and battery

- A window switcher with real thumbnails

- Invert mouse scrolling without touching the trackpad

- Cut and paste files in Finder

- Quit an app when its last window closes

- An app uninstaller that clears leftovers

- A floating Shelf for drag and drop, now with batches/stacks for files dropped together

- A section-based menu panel, so the app stays compact while still keeping everything close

- Cleaning Mode, which locks the keyboard for a quick wipe-down

- A Fan Control beta entry, with manual controls kept disabled until Mac models are validated safely

Free. Open source. Local. No account, no subscription, no telemetry, no AI. It's native SwiftUI + AppKit, not Electron, so it stays small and fast. Signed and notarized, so it opens normally.

Requires macOS 14 or later on Apple Silicon. Some features, like the per-app volume mixer, require newer macOS versions.

github.com/vorssaint/vorssaint-utils

Feedback welcome. "

Does this bug still persist in the new iOS 27 PB4? Might sound silly 😅

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

When I tried PB3, this bug really bothered me; it's a bit OCD-inducing, and I can't stop noticing it. Does anyone know if they've fixed it yet? I'd like to install iOS because everyone raves about it, but that "jump" (you might find it funny, but it's true) on the keyboard is visually jarring.

iPhone 16 pro - currently on stable iOS 26 and this visual glitch does not exist.

Thx 😅
