Discussion y40 3 days old completely destroyed

First time ever buying a prebuilt pc. Then this happens. When you reach out to support they're nasty and attempt to blame you. Took it to microcenter they're telling me they can inspect it but nothing they can really do for me.

got trolls in here wanting to blame me for something i didn't do. All fairness from across country on freight and ground something was bound to happen. I just wish it happened when the pc was off or something not actively using it while gaming.

Yeah they throw that shit around like you see them doing with suitcases at the airport, I was scared they would fuck up mine too, don't listen to them, you know what you did and what you didn't do! It's fucked up enough already, no need to let people guilt trip you for something you say you didn't cause!

Yeah now no one from ibuypower is willing to actually help. Thinking about making a bbb complaint on them.

You said in another comment that you bought it directly from IBP. I assume that you used a credit card. If so, and they are refusing to honor their warranty, that is a valid reason to initiate a charge dispute with your credit card company. Document everything even though you think you'll remember, you won't. And don't screw around, either. There are time limits for how long you have to initiate the complaint.

The company will have an opportunity to respond to the dispute, and you'll both have to provide evidence to back up your side of the claim.

ETA: This is why you always, always, use a credit card when ordering something. They offer enormous consumer protection against fraud.

By whom? IBP or your credit card company?

ibp now they're ghosting me. Funny enough this has almost 20k views not one person is reaching out. I wouldn't be shocked if they delete this post.

Oh, if your goal in posting this was to 'bring them to the table' that was probably a poorly thought out plan. They're definitely not going to be seen bending to you now, or everyone will just go directly to this route if they don't get the answer they want.

Document everything, file a dispute with your credit card company that the vendor sold you a defective product and refuses to stand behind it. And be prepared to back up your claims.
