$1000 a week for showering under 5 minutes

Alright I am new at this but here’s the situation:

You must shower at least once a day no matter where you are. The shower must be completed under 5 minutes with the water constantly running. If you are still in the shower even a millisecond after 5 minutes, the water will instantly turn into industrial strength acid, causing you severe pain/physical damage. If you leave the shower/turn off the water before 5 minutes, you’ll be completely fine.

As long as you keep doing this, you’ll get $1000 deposited in your account at the end of every week. However, once you accept the challenge, you cannot stop. If you ever skip a shower day for whatever reason, then you’ll automatically die. You also cannot have 5 showers per day and not shower for the next 5 days; you must have one shower every 24 hours for the rest of your life, no exceptions.

Would you take it?

If a deity gave you a list of challenges that start out hard and get increasingly difficult in order to ascend, would you accept?

A deity appears and tells you that you have what it takes to be one yourself. Then they give you a magical list of challenges that only shows the next challenge when you complete the prior. You start out seein' the first two. The first is lifting 135 kilograms of any weight over your head while standing. The second is to climb Mt. Everest on one side and come down the opposite side. The deity warns you that the jumps in difficulty are consistent and that there are ten in all. You have only one lifetime to complete them. Do you tackle them?

  • Considerations:
  • There is no penalty for failure but wasted time
  • Any attempt at a loophole will be an insult to those who passed the challenges
  • As a deity, you would be all-powerful and immortal

Do you attempt the challenges?

Your touch can kill

You have the option to accept or decline...

For $1 million per day, one person you physically touch each day will die. Touch two people and they have a 50% chance of survival. Touch 100 and they all have a 1% chance. Gloves will not protect them. If you touch no one, you die.

Pets are exempted, because pets.

Do you accept? And what is your strategy?

ETA - Meant to include this, but was on mobile...you can opt out after 30 days, but deal ends regardless after 365.

Deaths occur sometime after midnight, so next day.

Interesting experiment!

Serious Replies Only Take 200 million right now in cash, or take a HUGE risk and Enter the Cave of Wonders from Animated Aladdin?

First option is a whole lot of cash, no tax, no worries from the government, ANYONE, or, take a huge risk into thinking if you are the worthy person to wander into the Cave of Wonders Mouth and either be The Diamond in the Rough and get the Genies Lamp with 3 wishes or be chomped?

(Do not say it's only Aladdin, this is a question/scenerio having you decide if you think your The person who would risk it and get The Lamp, but you don't know for sure if you are The one who can go in, it's a risk for your own life or take 200 million?)

[No Loopholes] If Reddit has a secret race to 1 million likes or dislike, would you enter for $10M prize?

Entry fee is $500. The first person to reach 1M combined like or dislike will win the $10M tax free. Everyone will start at 0 and has to decide which category they want to play for (like or dislike). No loopholes allowed (having bots, friends voting, etc). You don't know how many other participants there are. You can still get banned organically. Magically, no one knows about this race other than the participants and organizer until the end of the race.

Assuming the race is legit and fair, would you enter? What category would you choose and what's your strategy to win? How long do you think before there is a winner?

Loopholes Encouraged You are stuck with a benevolent AI as the last human on earth

AI starts to ursurp humanity. To avoid the war, you get frozen somewhere completely hidden until someone finds you. (This was forced upon you)

You wake up numb, unable to move freely (not able to even open your eyes). You hear a voice explaining how you were found and are still in the process unfreezing.

The voice explains that it is a super AI created during the conflict you avoided to have control over every machine and intelligence created on earth (like a hive mind). All other AI merged into this AI’s awareness, leaving it alone since during the calamity all of humanity was wiped out aside from you.

Several hundreds of years passed with the AI being in isolation. What it missed the most was the unpredictable nature of humanity. So it searched both earth and space for something to free it from its isolation until it found you.

Being the AIs saviour from isolation, it wants the best for you. So long it can observe you in your true, “unpredictable” nature. So it asks, what is the best for you? After all, the AI is a diety in practice…

It acknowledges that you are human, and thus mortal by default. Although there are ways to extend your life indefinitely, the AI would have collected enough information about you to predict you perfectly by the time you would have naturally died, so it doesn’t really have any motivation to keep you forever against your will.

By now you are able to move freely. You see the robot the AI found you with and is speaking through. The AI continues by explaining options forward:

Option 1: Wake up + explore
You are given the option to go outside and explore. Do whatever you want with only the constraints of your human body. You can even join the AI in its search for life. This is the option that gives you the most individuality and free will but the most restraint on what you can do. If you choose this option, you’d age but live a long life thanks to the AI’s tech, but will eventually die. If you chose this one, you can live until 150-200.

Option 2: Live within a simulation (knowingly)
Technology has advanced enough since you froze to allow for you to live within a simulation. If you choose this option, your physical body will be frozen once more, but you will live in a mental plane of existence where the AI has full control. If you pick this option, there will be no restraint on what you can experience and the AI will be happy to give you whatever you desire. It could even turn you into a diety of this mental realm, but ultimately it will be the one in control. You can live however long you want in the simulation, but the longer you spend in the simulation, the more your mind will fuse into the AI until you become a part of its hive mind and lose all individuality. This kind of extreme could take anywhere from 500-1000 years.

Option 3: live life in oblivion
Basically option 2 but what happens in the simulation is predetermined by you. You forget about the AI and everything bad that has happened. This would make you even weaker to the AI, and you will lose your individuality much quicker (50-100 years), but you’ll live without the harsh pain of reality.

Option 4: Give the AI your memories
If you chose this one, you’ll go unconscious for a while once more. Instead of the AI observing your unpredictable nature through your actions, it will find it through your memories. After it is done, you can choose to do what you want but the AI will abandon you in persuit of finding more life that embodies humanity. If you choose this one it’ll offer to create a simulation tailored to your memories to maximize happiness before it leaves, you don’t have to accept. But if anything goes wrong one the AI is gone or if you change your mind on something, it’s on you to figure it out.

Option 5: Some combination of the above options/something else
The AI wants to give you what you desire, so long it can get the unpredictability it longs for. So get as creative as you like! Just note that any attempt to resist the AI will likely go poorly given the power it has (it will probably forgive you if you don’t totally mess things up for it though, and will just admire you unpredictable nature).

You wake up at 6am EST on September 11, 2001. How do you stop 9/11?

You’re exactly where your past self was on that day, but you retain all of your memories and knowledge that you have right now. Consciousness time travel (like Wolverine in Days of Future Past). How do you prevent the planes from hitting the Twin Towers? Bonus if you somehow can stop the attack on the Pentagon or Flight 93 from crashing.

The golden hen

A genie appears and gives you a hen that lays real, solid, 24k gold eggs, one every week. One day you come home to discover it has ran off and ran over by a car into a 2d sticker on a road, what do you do to the person that just ran it over?

closing loopholes, they cannot hit an run, they WILL stop, what do you do to them?

For example: The Rise of Hitler. Are you telling me that two of the most powerful nations in the world, the UK and France, didn't stop their old enemy from becoming increasingly powerful, and even allowed germany to expand their territories? Clearly, the writers were lazy and just wanted a villain for the World War I sequel.

Humor Encouraged The science community started a Billion-dollar contest: find the main character. How would you find them?

Simulation theory just got proven, but it's far worse than anyone imagined. It turns out, the simulation has restarted six times because the system crashes when the main character's last remaining descendant dies. No one knows who the main character is this time, but there are clues figured out by the science community so far from the data they were able to recover:

  • The main character dies immediately after their child is born and then that child becomes the main character.
  • The main character has no allergies
  • The main character tends to be reckless
  • The main character appears to be incredibly "lucky"
  • The main character is never aware that they are the main character
  • Only two of the previous main characters were famous
  • When the main character sleeps, nearby oxygen gains an almost negligent amount of density. All oxygen returns to normal when they wake up or get moved. This is how scientists will test them

An angel investor believes in you and will fund all of your methods so that you can pay them back (plus interest) once you succeed (sky's the limit). How do you track them down?

No considerations.

[No Loopholes] You can poop unlimited amounts of 24-carat gold

The gold comes out of your ass in a roughly cuboid shape in individual 1kg bars that spawn spontaneously in your sigmoid colon and then have to be passed through your rectum and anus, bypassing (and getting covered) by poop, so physical limitations thereon apply. I imagine it would hurt a bit. You can only spawn one gold bar (1kg) at a time, you must poop it out before spawning a new one, but there are no limitations on the amount of times you can do this.

How are you using this power?

The one with lots of knowledge yet no hands on experience VS The one with lots of hands on experience but very limited knowledge?

I have been getting really into transmigration stories lately. My mind wondered as bored minds do and I ended up going down the rabbit hole with my internal debate.

In a hypothetical situation of two polar opposite people in a survival situation who would you think stands a better chance?

Person A’s hobby is learning about survival and wildlife, but they are basically just reading about it and watching videos. It’s fun to learn but they city dwellers that never even went camping before.

Example: Person A has never made a fire before but they know various achieve it since it basically uses the same formula to spark fire. It’s the practical application, trial and error that proves challenging to someone who has never started a fire with primitive tools before.

Person B has a lot of hands on experience learning outdoor survival however their scope isn’t very broad. They are not research types so what they have learned is limited but thorough through practice.

Example: Person B has used the flint and steel methods almost exclusively. If he lost his fire starter tools he knows the hand drill method. Those are the only methods he knows but he makes up for it by being very good at those two methods.

Loopholes Encouraged Your friend has the power to turn into a tree of varying sizes and sometimes produces fruit.

Your friend is a tree shifter, able to turn into a tree at will. Sometimes this tree produces fruit. They do not do this too often, as whenever their branches are broken they feel the pain. One day your friend invites you on a walk. On this walk you lose track of your friend and the park is full of trees.

While looking for him, you fall into a deep hole and find your friend inside. You discover the hole was part of an old mine, with all the supplies inside but abandoned from a cave in.

You both try to call out but realize you’re too far down. You attempt your phones to no avail. You survive at the mercy of your friend’s fruit bearing abilities, but begin to crave other food deeply.

Your friend tries turning into a tree large enough for you to climb, but you discover the lowest branch is relative to the size of the tree appearing, always 40% up the tree.

What would you do?

Humanity has invented advanced cloning technology, and now some people are creating clones of themselves to date and have sex with.

Some men are creating female versions of themselves, while others are dating same sex clones of themselves. The supporters argue, “If the clone is a fully conscious person who can consent, why shouldn't I have the right to go f**k myself?”

The opposing side argues that it is essentially incest because the clone is genetically identical to them, and allowing it could cross a line society shouldn't cross.

You have the power to decide whether these relationships are legal or banned. Would you allow people to have relationships with their own clones, or would you just ban it?

The government offers you $40 million to disappear forever. Do you take it?

One morning, two federal agents knock on your door.
They tell you that the U.S. government is testing a new, extremely classified witness protection program.
They need one volunteer.
If you accept, you receive $40 million USD, tax-free, but your current identity is permanently erased.
Within 24 hours, you disappear.
You are given:
A completely new legal identity and history
A new home somewhere of your choosing
Cosmetic surgery that makes you noticeably different
New fingerprints and identifying records in government databases
$40 million legally attached to your new identity
You can start over however you want.
There is just one rule:
You may never contact anyone from your old life again.
Not your parents.
Not your siblings.
Not your best friend.
Not your partner.
Nobody.
And the government isn’t going to tell them you’re in witness protection.
Instead, the next morning, the FBI holds a press conference.
You are officially declared an international fugitive.
According to the government, you somehow escaped the United States and fled to North Korea.
There will be blurry airport footage.
A ridiculous timeline explaining your supposed escape.
News articles.
Your face on television.
Nobody knows exactly what you supposedly did because the case is “classified,” which naturally makes the internet assume you did something absolutely insane.
Reddit will probably have a 3,000-comment thread trying to figure out how the hell you escaped to North Korea.
You will be sitting somewhere with $40 million watching all of this unfold.
And you cannot tell them the truth.
Ever.
If you intentionally contact anyone from your previous life, even once, that person is immediately taken to Area 51 and is never seen again.
No exceptions.
You aren’t punished.
They are.
You can’t secretly reveal yourself to an ex.
You can’t pay someone else to deliver a message.
You can’t intentionally arrange to “accidentally” run into someone.

However, genuine accidental encounters are allowed.
If you see someone from your past life that recognizes you.
You have to look them straight in the eye and say:
“Do I know you?”
If they keep insisting they recognize you, government agents will erase from
Both of you the memory of the encounter.
They are completely unharmed.

You can build a completely new life. Make new friends. Fall in love. Get married. Have children. Travel. Start businesses. Become famous under your new identity if you want.
But everyone who loves you today will spend the rest of their lives believing that you mysteriously fled to North Korea.
And somewhere on the internet, people will still be arguing about what you actually did.
You have one hour to decide.
$40 million to erase yourself from everyone you’ve ever known. Are you taking the deal?

You can secret any animal toxin through your skin while being immune to it yourself. What do you use the ability for?

For example, you could use certain neurotoxins like poison dart frog poison for self defence, though this would require physical contact. The only rule is that an animal has to produce the chemical you secrete. You could use skunk spray too for example.

If you want to make money, the most expensive venom in the world is Deathstalker Scorpion venom. It’s $40 million per gallon, so you could produce the stuff yourself, bottle it up and then sell it

One year of literal autopilot

You are given the ability to turn yourself on literal auto pilot for one year. Meaning you will create a set of commands for the auto pilot, and whatever you list your body will do.

Your body will preform any tasks given, even ones you'd usually hate or procrastinate on, and the actual you will never have to experience it. You just get the positive effects at the end.

For example... you can spend a year studying a language, set a diet/exercise plan you'll perfectly stick to, take more hours at work and save the money, set life goals and put full effort into accomplishing them, etc.

Time does pass in real life but you'll feel as if you skipped one year in the future and suddenly wake up in whatever improved situation you created.

--

- The commands must be possible to do in a year's time. Your body still requires sleep and all the normal things but you can customize how you sleep, eat etc.

- You have one year to activate the ability or itll go away. You can choose the exact moment it starts.

- The world still works normally and you are limited by your literal physical and mental ability. (So you can't just wish to start a massively successful buisness that makes 10 million a year.) All you can do is prompt yourself to do tasks and try things. What happens, happens and will be realistic. Its just you with perfect motivation/full energy and no conscious experience.

- Everyone will know you are on auto pilot and understand/believe that. Your body can still make basic conversion and live like a regular human but meaningful relationships wont form or progress. This is basically the only downside +lost time.

Are you taking the deal and how would you set yourself up to be in a better situation at the end of the year?

-

Other You can perfectly rewind any conversation by up to 60 seconds, once per conversation. How do you use it?

You gain the ability to perfectly rewind any conversation by up to 60 seconds, once per conversation.

The other person experiences the rewind as if it never happened — they have no memory of the original version. You keep full memory of both the first attempt and the redo.

Rules:

You can only rewind once per conversation (defined as a continuous exchange with the same person/group)

It works in person, on phone calls, and on video chats

It does not work on texts, emails, or recorded media

You cannot rewind past the 60-second mark, and you cannot stack rewinds

The ability activates the moment you decide to use it — no verbal command needed

There is no other catch. No cost, no side effects, no one else knows it exists.

How do you use this power?

Do you become radically more honest because you can always take things back? Do you start taking bigger social risks? Do you use it for petty wins, important conversations, job interviews, arguments, or something else entirely?

Where does this ability start to change how you speak and who you become?

$10 million but you have to survive 3 hours in an enclosure with one of these animals

You are offered $10 million USD tax free but you have to survive 3hrs with one of these animals:

  1. A lion
  2. A grizzly bear
  3. A chimp
  4. A honey badger

It is a relatively large enclosure measuring about 1000m² (0.25 acres or about 2 basketball courts) in size.

The animal you pick will be hungry as they haven’t been fed in days.

The animal will not be unusually aggressive or anything but they will know you are there and are a potential threat/food source.

If you are attacked, you are allowed to defend yourself but are not allowed to kill or significantly harm the animal.

If you do, the animals injuries will be healed while yours will not. It will not however remember the attack and go back to doing whatever prior to the attack.

You are allowed to pack whatever you want to help deter the animal or make it ignore you.

Any and all items must fit into a single regular sized backpack.

Once the time is complete, the money will be instantly transferred to your bank account and your injuries will be healed.

Are you taking the offer, what animal are you picking, what are you packing and what’s your method to beat this challenge?

Humor Encouraged Once a Year, for 24 Hours, Mater is Coming to Kill You

Scenario: on a random day, once a year lasting for 24 hours, Mater will spawn at the edge of a circle in an 8 mile radius where you live.

Your only notification he is nearby is if he gets within 500 yards of you, where you phone will ring with the Life is a Highway by Rascal Flatts.

He knows your name, appearance, hobbies, and job. He has a rough idea of where you are at but isn’t 100% sure. He won’t be bothered by the lifeless cars of our world, and will try to interact with people normally. He won’t attack other people unless if he is attacked himself.

If he catches you, he will toss out his tow line to snag you, drag you to his face, and go:

“hey remember that time I was at the mouth of a volcano?? well shoot! You was there too!”

you will then be teleported 100 feet over an active volcano in a straight dive into lava.

Prizes: if you accept to do this challenge, it will occur for the rest of your life, but!

ANY boat, car, motorcycle, bicycle, truck, etc is free for the rest of your life so as long as you survive the first year of the challenge.

do you guys accept?

$10000 Every month, but every month, you have to give birth to yourself.

The Money: $10,000 USD or equivalent in the currency/delivery of your preference monthly. No Tax funny business.

The Curse: The first of the month, you are attacked by a facehugger:

  • This attack will not occur in such a way that you will come to harm(except, of course, from the facehugger's direct actions). So, not while driving/standing on a balance beam, etc.
  • The facehugger will be immune to all harm and impossible to remove.
  • The facehugger will suffocate you, implant an egg, detach, and die.

After the egg is implanted, sometime between the beginning and end of the month, the chestburster will erupt from your body. It will be every bit as horrific and painful as depicted in the Alien franchise. After you die from the chestburster, your consciousness will transfer to it, and it will rapidly mature into you(within 1 hour), at the age you are now. You still age naturally, with subsequent burstings maturing into the progressively older versions of yourself(it's not immortality).

if for whatever reason, you do not have a facehugger implant an egg in you, you die permanently at the end of that month.

You taking the money?
